"Mats Oberg (keyboards) and Morgan Agren (drums) first began playing together 25 years ago (!!) when Mats was 11 and Morgan was 15. Originally very influenced by Frank Zappa, they actually played with Zappa in 1988, but while some of the Zappa influence remains, they have long since found their own voices. All players with superb playing ability, the quintet plays as a well-honed, cohesive unit, with more developed compositions than in earlier works, showing the band arriving at its own voice, with a modern-sounding blend of complexity, composition, chops and beats. "Keyboardist Mats Öberg and drummer Morgan Ågren have been playing together for over 25 years, since Mats was 10 and Morgan was 14! They are legendary in their native Sweden. Joining forces in 1981, they later formed Zappsteetoot together in 1984, a band internationally known for performing the music of Frank Zappa. They met Zappa in 1988 and performed with him while he was in Sweden. They were due to join his band, but his ill health cancelled his tour plans. Mats and Morgan began releasing records in 1996 on their own UAE label. In September, 2005, Cuneiform released Thanks For Flying With Us, their seventh album and the first to be released outside of their native Sweden to wide acclaim and sales. They were 'discovered' at a very young age by Frank Zappa, who invited them to join his band (Zappa's ill health ultimately cancelled these tour plans) and they are musical legends in their native Sweden and beyond, known for their wild and funny musical performances. The Music Or The Money is their second album and was originally released in 1997 and has never been available other than at the group's shows. This adds over 45 minutes of unreleased material.
