"Flash Recordings was a result of collaborations between Oliver Koletzki and Florian Meindl back in 2006, now after Oliver's Label Stil Vor Talent took off and flooded him with work, Florian manages Flash on his own. The first musical statement for this new path Florian is going comes in the shape of a single with two perfectly crafted dance-floor weapons: 'Time to Move' is a disco tech-house tool built with a solid and mechanic Meindl beat&bass construction, which ends up in a superlong break before it gets hit back by the beat. "Florian Meindl needs no introduction, thanks to his quality releases for labels like Trapez, Flash, Herzblut, Kling Klong, he's one of the electronic producers to watch! Just a few youngsters out there have the same feeling for sound quality, entertaining and electronic innovation. We immediately fell in love with '8 Bit Romance,' love at first listening; Florian sent it to us by mistake (true!!!), we were supposed to be sent his remix for Minimow 'Where's My Pill?' God only knows how/why he misplaced the file and sent us this melodic deep-techno beauty instead. The rest is history, we managed to obtain another killer deep track called 'Marble' from Mr. Meindl and closed the package with the weirdest Radio Slave remix ever - more than eighteen (yes, 18) minutes of Radio Slave-ness in all its ultra 'reverbered' glory. Something between Villalobos and Ashra Temple to give you an idea: Bloody Hell Yeah! Austrian-born Florian Meindl bought his first house record at the tender age of 14, and it's all been downhill from there. At the age of 16, Florian played gigs as a support act for Claude Young, Gayle San and Ricardo Villalobos. Since 2003, he has been producing audio material in the minimal/techno/house, new jazz, hip-hop, experimental and drum and bass genres. Florian enjoys a versatility of styles, which is revealed in these tracks. They are not at all classic minimal, but use the vehicle of minimal to transport "maximal joy." "Milk In Tea" and "Tamiflop 2" are tricky, percussive and polyrhythmic and elevate the big mother ship Chicago to another level.

Florian Meindl is one of the hottest German newcomers of 2006. He released his debut 12" Milk in Tea on Trapez which got the ball rolling for him. His follow-up Chase The Robot is even more energetic than its predecessor. The record consists of two long DJ cuts. "Chase The Robot" resembles Richie Hawtin's early Plastikman tracks in a modern and club-rocking way. The track has all the percussive power that it needs to jack the crowd. "Worms" is a deep and percussive monster that is perfect for more intimate and intense moments. It breaks down into crass bass lines and wonderful silly melodies. Meindl is definitely a person to watch out for.
