Anyone who has paid attention to electronic music over the past decade knows that Motor is an artist from Moskow, responsible for one of deepest albums of the millennium, Hexen (which might be o/p at the moment, unfortunately). Except the clowns at Novamute, evidently. This is a different Motor, no connection to the original. "Motor is Mr. No (from Paris) and Bryan Black (from Minneapolis), also known under the alias XLover. Electronic music practicing a punk ethic, Motor is unlike anything else: abrasive, strangely melodic, pulsing like a machine. A sound, which by no mistake, has put them in a class of their own."

Notorious techno-rockers Motor return with a cut off their Metal Machine full-length "Death Rave," a ferociously tough, turbo-charged dancefloor destroyer that rocks out with unrestrained raw power. Combining detuned snarling synths with rock-hard beats, "Death Rave" smashes all senses with undisguised glee. "Metal Machine" (itself a dark, ominous, techno killer) is also included, though is not available on the album. Remix duties are handled by electro-tech DJ/producer Jonty Skrufff, who revs up Motor's original for maximum dancefloor-destroying effect.
