"Ed Palermo has led his big band for 30 years. Although best known for his interpretations of the music of Frank Zappa, whose music he has been performing for 15 years, the ensemble has also performed the pioneering electric blues music of Paul Butterfield and Mike Bloomfield, including the entirety of the classic East West album, works by other composers and Ed's own compositions. Ed's band consists of 16+ great musicians, drawn from the worlds of jazz, rock and Latin music, Broadway productions, music education, television and film soundtracks, session work and beyond in New York City.
