This is the debut full-length release by Pig&Dan. In 1999, the Igor Tchkotoua and Dan Duncan met by chance on a flight to Spain and the rest is history. Soon after that, records and productions were exchanged and slowly, the two determined to rough up the underground techno scene. Their first joint productions immediately made it into the record cases of well-known DJs and were featured on many mix compilations. After more than twenty productions for their own Submission label, they started a new label, Sonic Society, moving more towards minimal productions. Last year, their 12"s On To The Beat and After Ibiza on Cocoon Recordings caused a sensation wherever the records were played. From that point on, it was only a question of time until the duo would do a longplayer on Cocoon Recordings. Pig&Dan's electronic house sound is a perfect image of what is happening on the planet's dancefloors. Trippy and driving electronic beats are combined with filigree basslines, giant spherical spaces and weird sounds in long sophisticated arrangements: modern minimal house with a good share of techno. Pig&Dan are masters of their trade, and with their productions, sound and style, harken the perfection of artists like Guido Schneider and Anders Trentemøller. Despite the stringent concept of electro house, their productions are applicable in a highly flexible way, sometimes reminding of the high times of Vladislav Delay's Luomo productions. Pig&Dan reduce themselves on Imagine to the essentials of current techno productions and work more clearly on the elements that a modern dance track should have. The second strike from Pig & Dan on Cocoon Recordings after the fabulous "Oh Yeah!" is a very fine recording, showing the production skills of the two Mallorca residents Igor Tchkutoa (aka Pig) and Dan Duncan. One day in 1999, Dan Duncan was discussing music to the person sitting next to him on a flight to Spain. Igor Tchkotoua was sitting directly behind him and heard Dan explaining his involvement in the music industry and decided to join the conversation. After the flight Igor and Dan swapped numbers and agreed that one day they should hook up and talk. They both had started producing and DJing back in the days of acid house and warehouse parties, and two years after their first meeting, they decided it would be stupid not to get in the studio together -- the start of Pig & Dan.

Pig & Dan are one of the big newcomers on Cocoon Recordings. With After Ibiza/Touch, they deliver a real beamer for Cocoon, totally right on in giving consideration to the Ibiza reference. For ten minutes, echo bleeps and trippy beats are screwed into your brain in a way that sometimes reminds of Ricardo Villalobos. Igor Tchkotoua and Dan Duncan aka Pig&Dan are important techno ambassadors who have appeared on Datapunk and Pickadoll and who have remixed Eric Prydz and Underworld. Terminate features two peak-time hymns in between the past and future of dance music. "Terminate" is a true chameleon, hypnotizing with reduced bass knocks and an epically-long insect noise break.
