Ian Pooley makes his debut appearance on Simple to kick start what is shaping up to be a bumper year for the label. 'Nightscape' is a deep, heads down house groove that locks you in with itʼs lovingly crafted percussion and beautifully bouncy bassline, whilst the wistful, melancholic pads are food for the soul. Ianʼs experience in production shines throughout the EP, making the tracks as much of a delight on the head phones as they are on a Function One soundsystem. 'Difference (Jupiter/Eight Mixes)' - Intricate percussive rhythms combine with a rubbery bassline and rich poly stabs to set the tone. Strings build and release the tension and a delicate piano riff brings the soul. The evolution of the patterns sees a heady crescendo for the floor.
