"Argentinean-born Nico Purman is widely regarded as one of the best Argentinean DJs. Nico started producing his own material and with his friend Gustavo Sacchetti, they formed Artificial and released the now renowned Artificial Plastico EP on Karmarouge. The main track 'Lunatique' is a stunning piece of work, with a fixed crisp beat and a meandering synth line, he manages to encapsulate the signature South American sound so well, with murmuring vocals deep in the mix and subtle key changes making it pleasure to listen and dance to. 'CalorHumano' is a slightly darker affair, but lacks none of the elements that makes its former so good, this is perfect late night material. 'Voodoo' works around an altogether different groove and really showcases Nico's percussion talents, with layers of bongos combining beautifully with heavy chord stabs, deep atmospheric chants and a rolling bassline."
