Title: Snes Dub
Label: DUB POLICE (UK)
Format: 12"
Price: $11.00
Catalog #: DP 005EP
"Jump Up. Dubstep for the discerning dancefloor. 'Dancefloor smasher 'Snes' holds the A side and drops heavy amid a flurry of Nintendo sounds and thumping dub bass. Super low subs and 8-bit arpegiators follow to create a sure-fire crowdpleaser that'l be rinsed again and again. Flip over for the 'Hornz cru', already a favourite with big-dub soundsystem boys 'irations steppas'. A xylophone and guitar intro gives way to rasping horns and low slung gully bass that will shake the foundations of any dancehall. The final track 'Trupowwa' brings the atmosphere. Wailing rasta's and pitchbend guitars build to a dark crescendo that will not disappoint with pumping distortion bass and firey lead guitar. Look out for Rusko's 'Dey Neva Know' doin the rounds on dubplate."

Title: Acton Dread
Label: DUB POLICE (UK)
Format: 12"
Price: $11.00
Catalog #: DP 009EP
"Rusko brings the vibes on his 2nd Dub Police outing. The most talked about producer of the moment returns for more dub wise dubstep. The first 'Acton Dread,' inspired by Rusko's London borough, kicks off with a summertime digi-dub bounce. Hypnotic flutes and wailing vocals give way to a pulsing sub bass, reggae shuffles and catchy themes, showcasing the dub-style production that's made Rusko a favorite of DJs like Skream and Radio 1's Rob Da Bank. Listen carefully for London underground announcements lurking in the background of the tune! Flipping over we see Rusko on remix duties for local boy Caspa. This tongue-in-cheek refix sees Rusko adding his trademark trance synths and bumpy sub bass to the lilting Japanese flute melodies, space age effects and jungle percussion. 'Would You Like To Play Your Flute?' A track that will be filling dancefloors for years to come."

B1. 'Love Is Real': Rusko goes back to the old skool with this bubbling garage track, showing the true diversity of the EP. With its sweet vocals and luscious strings over the top of a 2-step beat and sub-low 808 garage-style bass, and Todd Edwards style vocal chops on the second drop, this one is sure to get any old skool garage heads up and on their feet. C1. 'Jahova': Further reinforcing the strength of this release is another anthem that again has gained massive support from all the key players in the scene, is the superb dub-driven killer that is 'Jahova.' With its extremely catchy melody, dubbed-out synths and driving bass, this track has caused devastation to many dancefloors across the globe, and is essential for any aspiring dubstep DJ. D1. 'Lions Paw': Rounding off the EP is the dubbed-out splendor that is 'Lions Paw.' This has gained massive support from Skream, who has been battering it on his Rinse FM show as well as his live sets. And with its dub delayed drums and reggae-influenced horns, it's sure to be a firm favorite with anyone into the dub-style sound. This EP really shows the growing strength of the fast rising Sub Soldiers label (offspring to the popular Dub Police imprint) and is an absolute essential to any dubstep DJ's record box."

Title: Mr Chips/Hammertime
Label: SUB SOLDIERS (UK)
Format: 12"
Price: $12.00
Catalog #: SUBSOLO 005EP
"Mr Chips: Rusko manages to bring yet another absolutely essential release and once you listen to these two tracks it will be clear to see why this man is at the top of his game right now. Support from the likes of Sinden, Switch, The Freestylers, Clipz, Diplo, Ras Kwame and the list goes on, not to mention the battering it has taken within the top ranks of the dubstep scene. Just pure, outrageous bass and beats right here and as you have probably guessed from the title, snippets from the '80s cult TV show catchphrase -- but sadly no sign of Roy Walker. 'Hammertime': Again another big bassline anthem that has been battered by anyone who is anyone in music right now. A loud and crashing intro wakes you up with reggae legend Ranking Joe giving us a taste of what he does best, before the tear out bass kicks in and that will have you nodding your head so hard it will break your neck -- serious release from the one like Rusko."
