"Goosehound returns with its fourth release, the Vizard EP by Nicholas Sauser and Ditch. These two are known for a handful of excellent releases on labels like Microcosm, Safari Electronique and Minibar. The title track, 'Vizard,' starts the listener on a dark journey dripping with eerie rhythms and organic textures. A kick emerges from the moody ambience to lead the way for syncopated percussion and brooding bass. All of these elements build together to create an infectious and danceable atmosphere sprinkled with the remains of a dissected conversation. On the B-side, Barem pulls 'Vizard' in a funkier direction with his rework, while maintaining the moody atmosphere of the original. With shuffling percussion and a bassline designed to invigorate, the haunting beeps add the slightest oomph while keeping the listener shrouded in mystery as to where the track will travel next. New layers of found sound and engineered samples work their way into the track as the adventure continues culminating in an build-up of reverberation."
