"Each tune on the album represents a kind of a totally different aspect of my musical personality, all the way from the very lyrical and romantic and impressionistic to the freaky, so to speak. I find at this point in my life I'm searching very deeply for a style -- trying to find my own identity, really. The album is just a part of that search, one more chapter in that search. As I listen back to it, I don't know that I can understand any more about myself than I did before; but it does represent a great deal of the efforts in various areas of my life."
