"After the much-appreciated first two Floppy Funk releases, here's another example of Floppy's funk and deepness! Some Kind Of... from Shaka is a diverse, old schoolish yet modern techno record. A killer record we think! The A-side offers the club groover 'First One' and the beautiful deep Detroitish 'Heitere Gemüter.' The B-side offers a re-release: 'Erfolgsgeblubber' was released on Morris Audio Citysport a year ago, but has been getting superb feedback (e.g. Steve Bug: 'this is huge!') and we just love this early Warp styled bleeper! Finishing off this well rounded EP, Shaka comes up with some great jazzy electronic trickery called 'Phalonmukka.' Great stuff for open-minded freaks, and well worth checkin' Shaka's upcoming stuff on Revolver and his remix of Pan/Tone's 'Gringo Grinder!'"
