"Shinedoe, who with her 2004 debut Dilemma (on 100% Pure), instantly accomplished what others never achieve: respect and support by the likes of Väth, Hawtin and Villalobos. Her style: straightforward, strictly functional Detroit techno -- with an essential and effective touch of soul. We catch a glimpse into the near future with her track 'Amsterdam Meets Berlin.' Here, she does what she's best at. She uniquely creates atmosphere with just one chord, relying on the power of harmonies. But watch out. When the dreamlike vibe leads to a sudden change of keys, we're all puppets on her strings. Len Faki responds with 'Rumpelkammer' which translates into 'junk room.' The title also plays with the notion of rumbling, as the deep bass goes without an audible kick for the initial minutes. The track darts like an arrow in the sky, with a straight groove and breaks reduced to severe cuts.
