DIYNAMIC 001EP
2006 release, repressed. "Here's a re-release of their very first 12"! Solomun, aka DJ Play, the Hamburg DJ giving his debut with an EP on his own label Diynamic Music. Music like a butterfly in summer: warm and dry. Deep, groovy, consequential and melodious, Solomun always has an eye on the dancing client. On three tracks there is a unique electronic band, telling stories of three layers of party-going and worlds to live in. Absolute summer hits, instantly commanding to dance to, a melody of timeless beauty ('Bunte Blume'), meditation-music for the dancefloor ('Wellenfänger') and a deep, sexy prime-time-hymn ('Stadtgeflüster') -- you'll find anything on this EP. A1: 'Bunte Blume': A club-hit out of time and space. A feeling of yearning is awakened in the digital space, giving the listener a deep sense for the music. Feelings finding their peak in a surprising and all-pervading synthie-hook, wanting to stay in the ear and doing so. 'Bunte Blume' combines the best of different worlds: A hymn that has everything indeed and denies all the superfluous. B1: 'Stadtgeflüster' Suddenly there appear vocals: A female breathing is heard rhythmically. A deep minimal track for a party where sex is in the air. The room-pervading bass and a melodramatic FM-hook give this track a near cinematic drive, like a great movie."

DIYNAMIC 002EP
2006 release, repressed. "Here's a re-release of their in-demand second 12"! A1: 'Dies und Das': A song to dream to on the dancefloor. A deep house-groove feelingly appears, harsh sounds hold the suspense and organic-plane synths lead to classical, beautiful harmonies. Surely for the heart. Highly melodic, full of sorrow and hope in one. B1: 'Hin und Her': If Europa is the melody and Africa the rhythm, than this beat belongs without question to the black continent. "To and Fro" (German: 'Hin und Her') is like a rave in the Congo. And if the A-side "This and That" ('Dies und Das') is a dreamy little sister, than this track is her great muscular macho-brother. Clear, decisive, edgy with scarce room for tones in between. A whole tribe prepares for war, paints itself, dances and brings the blood to boil. B2: 'Zigarette Danach': The track with the most surprises. There is room for so many turns and ideas, that afterwards you yearn for a cigarette -- if you are a smoker. If you are not, an apple should do. A forceful, grooving bass-line, shattering sounds, and a female sigh enliven the listeners' imagination. A track done entirely without plug-ins enchants through its playfulness. A track for friends of the minimal, for preservers of their stairs to childhood. Kongas in panoramic delays finish the 'after-cigarette' in utter delight. A track for each stage of life."
