"Steril, who dropped an acoustical bomb in France's New Wave scene with his mini-album
Ono-Sendai
in the early 80s, has for the past few years lived in Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo on the fourteenth floor of a warehouse. Five years after this initial release, Erkrankung met him in one of those plastic-coffin hotels at the airport Narita and agreed on the release of some new mixes of his tracks. He's not going to perform on stage anymore, but he trusted this label by giving his musical heritage into its hands. He is currently working, by the way, as a producer of television shows in Nihon. Eight tracks, some new mixdowns of old tracks and five previously unreleased cuts are included on a new compilation album called
Robofication
