This is the debut album by Strip Steve. Digging in the spirit of the glam and pop scene of the '80s, the French DJ and producer (livin' in Berlin now) put together a potpourri of high-class house, nu-disco, techno and dubstep tracks. Strip Steve knows how to create a sticking summer rave soundtrack like "Stomp," and he also takes us on a trip back to 1980's shinier sides and darker sides. He does not hide his musical roots and background when living up to his origins with "Money Trouble Funk." Proving his talent in different styles and sounds, he collaborated with the lucid and wild-eyed dream-pop duo Puro Instinct (from L.A.), young protégées of living legend Ariel Pink, creating a flirty and emotional track, "Astral Projection," which will be the first official single-release taken from Micro Mega. The track goes more to the root and encapsulates musical influences from The Beach Boys, Chic, and modern disco like Amplified Orchestra, highlighting how versatile and multi-faceted Strip Steve's musical approach can be. It's the flirtation with fragile lucidity and embracing the simple and still-undiscovered pop formula which leaves the song to grow and breathe on its own. Strip Steve teamed up with the legendary Robert Owens on the hypnotic dance track "One Thing" and his voice is heavenly paired up with Steve's strong soundlines and mega-attitudes.
