"Behind this extraordinary retrospective release stands two musicians from Portland, OR: Jeff Sanger and Alexa Marmon. John See's Lilly, their debut, is certainly a psychedelic gem and introduces the world to the mystic and creative To Get Her Together which carries the influence of Syd Barrett, Donovan's psychedelic period featuring a great cover version of his 'Clarence In Wonderland' and Joe Meek all rolled into one. They create a sound that sums up a scene from Lewis Carroll's Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. Jeff is an emotive songwriter and singer taking you through a journey into his mind full of musical twists and turns with acoustic guitar rhythms over hypnotic drum and bass to tunes with electric overdrive mindblowing fuzz. Equipment used such as a 1930s David Bogen amplifier, vintage organs and effects, and analog equipment ultimately reward the listening experience.
