Fuckthelivingfuckthedead
is the recording of a Nick Tosches poetry and music performance given at Centre Georges Pompidou in Paris, March 2001 as part of the Exhibition "Les Années Pop" (the Pop Years) with
Frank Funaro
(percussion) and
Catherine McRae
(violin). Along with

, Nick Tosches belongs to a generation of American writers whose literary works have a deep and strong relation to rock'n'roll. Born in 1949 in Newark, New Jersey, Nick Tosches' early works were articles about rock music (
Creem
magazine) before he decided to become a full-time writer of poetry and prose. He wrote some books about music (
