Title: Musick
Label: KOMPAKT (GERMANY)
Format: 12"
Price: $8.00
Catalog #: KOM 037EP
"Those of you who were drawn into the 'Boltzplatz EP' surely want to take part in this round, too. On 'Musick', bone-dry beats and neck-breaking, 'knarzing' sequences are placing the ball precisely under the bar. Berlin-based T. Raumschmiere aka Marco Haas demonstrates another time his immense floor-affinity. His first-class releases on the Sender label and his own label Shitkatapult, and last but not least his fat live gigs have made him the very king of new German shuffle-techno."

Artist: T.RAUMSCHMIERE
Title: Monstertruckdriver
Label: MUTE UK (UK)
Format: CD
Price: $8.00
Catalog #: NOMU 124CD
Debut Raumschmiere on Mute, only released in the UK. "T.Raumschmiere is the alias of 27 year-old Berliner, Marco Haas. He has produced music since 1997, mainly for his own label Shitkatapult and for imprints such as Cologne's Kompakt and Hefty Records of Chicago. Gnarled bass-lines, known in German as 'Gnarzigkeit' have become his stylistic device. His brand of 'minimalism' is to achieve the 'maximum' with as few means as possible -- with a decidedly punk ethos: why go for sterile minimalism when you can rock out? This bluntness informs the T.Raumschmiere sound: bass sequencing with scratched up, brushed down beats and no unnecessary breaks in the sound." Remixers: Dabrye and Miss Kitten.

Containing more apparent punk rock, twisted rock and ambient influences as well as his own vocals, T.Raumschmiere also enlisted the help of his friends Ellen Allien (from Berlin's Bpitch label) on 'Diving In Whiskey,' Quasimodo Jones on 'A Mess,' Sandra Nasic (from European rockers Gauno Apes) on 'A Very Loud Lullaby' plus French newcomer Judith Juillerat on '3 Minutes Happiness'."

Title: Zartbitter
Label: SHITKATAPULT (GERMANY)
Format: 12"
Price: $8.50
Catalog #: STRIKE 016EP
"Truly stellar new 12" from Marco Haas aka T. Raumschmiere, a release that will hopefully elevate this label in more peoples eyes (and ears) to the 'buy on sight' status. The first track 'Zartbitter' is a crushing mid-tempo groover with some awesome Eastern tinged strings oozing in and out of focus, and that sets the tone for the whole record. 'Bitterseuss' slouches along at a similar pace but this time it's the sound of your drunken neighbor passing out with a My Bloody Valentine record stuck in the runout groove. The whole thing is some sort of drone/techno hybrid, perhaps swimming in the same murky pool as Fred Bigot/Electronicat, evocative and brutal in turns. A no-brainer." -- Billy Kiely 4 tracks, 23 minutes.

Title: The Great Rock'n'Roll Swindle
Label: SHITKATAPULT (GERMANY)
Format: CD
Price: $15.50
Catalog #: STRIKE 032CD
"There's definitely something real big taking charge here! Mr. Raumschmiere flashes his two-finger British fuck-off pose as if it just took just two to do all the work - straight up punk attitude. His new EP/CD titled The Great Rock'n'roll Swindle doesn't just gleam with presence of mind but actually ends up being a great big lie. What we have here rocks and rolls in quite a major way. So where's the swindle? The opening title track knocks down pins as seldom heard before. It belongs in every real DJ's first-aid kit for those moments when the crowd is waning in need of a boost. The unmistakable gnarz-bass battles venomous melodies in a high-tech web. It's a track for all thugs with a prep-school degree. First slam it in your face and then think about it later. Sami Koivikko doesn't fuck around with the remix long, shamelessly plunging the scenery into a rave-mood without loosing the bounce. Up next and once again there's the techno-punk T.Raumschmiere: his fuck-off fingers pound the 'enter' key', hitting the system with flatulent bass noises that burst into soundscape crackles, which he probably borrowed from label-mate Apparat ? 'bow down big man to get your credit'! In the end Raumschmiere and Rechenzentrum wrestle for the correct anti-posturing of slightly dubbed basslines coming from the adjacent hall along with absurd quotes out of the clothing chest. You're even getting cut-ups from a metal guitar! Think they're having fun with us? The CD contains six tracks that have been released on different 12"es before, plus two new tracks. It does not contain the remixes, which are only available on the 12" EP."

Title: Die Alte Leier
Label: SHITKATAPULT (GERMANY)
Format: 12"
Price: $8.50
Catalog #: STRIKE 079EP
The most clubbing track from the album Random Noize Sessions Vol. 1 (STRIKE 080CD) and a wonderful old school techno exclusive track "It's All About The Leierei" by Alex Cortez and T.Raumschmiere from 1996 as a killer B-side.

Artist: T.RAUMSCHMIERE
Title: Random Noize Sessions Vol. 1
Label: SHITKATAPULT (GERMANY)
Format: CD
Price: $15.50
Catalog #: STRIKE 080CD
Berliner Marco Haas aka T.Raumschmiere is back home with his new full length work on his own Shitkatapult label. Random Noize Sessions Vol. 1 features a collection of lost studio and live recordings from the past six years (1999-2005). Music-wise these tracks follow the same idea as the Anti album on Hefty records (Chicago, 2002) -- dark ambient tracks, beats and pictures: random noize. From the beginning to the applause-ending (from his ambient live set in Düsseldorf church, Johanniskirche) this whole CD is a breathtaking movie, and in the best tradition of dark Asian movies fighting the new minimal deal. Titles like "In The Ghetto," "Radikal Mediation," "Neulich Im Bestattungs-Discount" follow the general T.Raumschmiere idea. After his major releases on Novamute, Random Noize Sessions Vol. 1 is not only a new album, but also a missing link between his punk techno anti-spectacle and his inner vision of techno/ambient music. These are traditional new music footprints following Robert Hood or Mike Ink, and married to influences from great artists like Coil or Steve Albini. Free of any chic or trendy idea, Random Noize is purely sick music at its best. The track "Die Alte Leier," the most clubbing track from the album will be released on the 12" version and will include a wonderful old school exclusive techno track entitled "It's All About the Leierei" by Alex Cortez and T.Raumschmiere from 1996 as a B-side. This album was mastered by Cristian Vogel.

Price: $11.00
Catalog #: STRIKE 092EP
Marco Haas aka T.Raumschmiere releases a dancefloor killer vinyl from disco hell that will ruin your emotional balance. "E" features major synth hook lines, pitch-crazy voodoo trance, Godzilla beats and futuristic sound design from the year 2361. "E303" is a conglomeration of disturbing funk chemicals: raw synth modulation, live drum beats and bass/drum techno. Rave-techno for rockers.

Title: Animal Territory/Brenner
Label: SHITKATAPULT (GERMANY)
Format: 12"
Price: $11.00
Catalog #: STRIKE 095EP
Marco Haas aka T.Raumschmiere introduces the second 12" chapter of his album I Tank U. This 12" features Puppetmastaz and Deichkind with The Crack Whore Society as debuting guest vocalists. "Animal Territory" presents Puppetmastaz on a heavy rock synth beat. It's rap/tech/rock as classical Def Jam link between Beastie Boys and Run DMC. "Brenner" takes a deep step into the rap history of tomorrow. The clear techno beat tells the story of a burnout party feeling with no return.

Title: I Tank U
Label: SHITKATAPULT (GERMANY)
Format: CD
Price: $17.00
Catalog #: STRIKE 096CD
After years of waiting, Shitkatapult label-head Marco Haas aka T.Raumschmiere finally releases the album that completes the series begun by the two previous Mute albums, Radio Blackout (2003) and Blitzkrieg Pop (2005). I Tank U is the end result of a musical progress: it is dark electronica, techno history, and songwriting, jammed in a terrific rock record. The number of featured guests on this album is remarkable: the notorious energy rappers from Deichkind with The Crack Whore Society, the alien rappers from the Puppetmastaz, the great Tim Vanhamel from Deus and Millionaire, the artist duo Warren Suicide, as well as Lilian Hak, Barbara Panther and Gene Serene. The rapping techno beats, cranky patterns, eerie melodies and those front row beasts gushing with energy do not compete with each other, but create an entity together. The live drums and guitars meet generated synth sounds and distorted bass lines. After all, it's the two instrumental tracks, the rock tunes sung by Haas himself, and the analogical mixing by Moses Schneider that make I Tank U more of an electronic rock album than a rocking electronic album. This release defies any prevailing pessimism about stale techno by doing whatever it fancies and saying no to all strictly defined label boundaries. After The Great Rock'n Roll Swindle (Shitkatapult, 2002), the crude techno long player which assembled his first 12"s, as well as the ambient album Anti (Hefty, 2002), T.Raumschmiere released Radio Blackout (2003) and Blitzkrieg Pop (2005) on Novamute, Mute's techno-oriented subsidiary. He has toured all around the world as a popular techno DJ as well as with his live band, reanimated his love for ambient through the re-edition Random Noize Sessions Vol.1 (Shitkatapult, 2006) and issued some rad-as-hell techno as Shrubbn!!, Together with Ulli Bomans. No matter what the guise, T.Raumschmiere continues to defy rules in a refreshing way, just in the nick of time.

After years of waiting, Shitkatapult label-head Marco Haas aka T.Raumschmiere finally releases the album that completes the series begun by the two previous Mute albums, Radio Blackout (2003) and Blitzkrieg Pop (2005).
