"Following on from James Mowbray & Leiam Sullivan's essential Tropical Heights release, Bristol-based Four:Twenty return with a label debut from Giles Smith and Martin Dawson's Two Armadillos project. A recent EP for Steve Bug's Dessous set the stall out for their intricate placing of techno influences on a deep house template, and the Butterfly Bee EP only serves to further refine the formula. Meanwhile, the remix is supplied by Andomat 3000 and Jan, who recently released the rather superb L Delay on Chilean supremo Luciano's Cadenza imprint. They condense the original progression into a tight, leisurely groove, with percussion and FX constantly snaking in and out of the mix -- the perfect foil to the original mix."
