"Past is Prologue is the new, fully re-mastered version of Tycho's debut full length Sunrise Projector, which was released independently on Tycho's own imprint (Gammaphone Records) in fall 2004. The release was limited to mail-order and quickly sold out through the first two pressings. We are now proud to present a 12" sampler version of the Merck CD album. With revised art and fully re-mastered audio from the Gammaphone version. This is the first time any of Tycho's music will be appearing on vinyl, and it includes remixes by Nautilis and Dusty Brown. Musically, this release lies somewhere between label mates Helios and Machine Drum, with a touch of Malcom Kipe. Hip-hop infused beats, hypnotic melodies and dynamic syncopated textures blend to create a dense, atmospheric listening experience. Limited 600."
