In the early seventies they had been not only the best, but also the most well-known progressive band of this region. Steven and Alan Freeman put it this way: 'Virus were one of those legendary Krautrock bands that took the Pink Floyd type of space-rock sound onto new uncharted realms. A justly legendary band.'
