The track slowly caught fire and was championed by almost every genre of dance music DJ from Loco Dice to Mark Farina throughout the year. At the peak of its popularity, Richie Hawtin named it 'best track of 2006.' This is a very special remix package blessed by the kings of Detroit, old and new. "Two hard driving remixes come in from the underground. The first remix is a slow burning techno gem by Jochen Trappe that has been absolutely slaying dance floors all across Europe. Jochen has 2 singles out on Connoisseur Records and was responsible for Claude's favorite track of 2005/6 called 'Organic.' The second mix comes from San Francisco producer Alland Byallo, who recently had a hot record called 'Buckets' on Germany's Liebe Detail imprint. Alland is a wicket techno producer as well as the promoter of [KONTROL], the best minimal techno night in the US. He delivers a hard charging version, full of wobbly tech-bass and strong drums not for the faint of heart."

"The deep jungle can be an intimidating place. Home to bird-eating spiders, deadly jaguars, and fierce natives, most ordinary folks wouldn't last more than a day. Fortunately, the jungle also holds plenty of swingable vines, feastable roots & berries, and the great 'Scarlet Macaw.' Label boss Claude VonStroke's first record on Mothership is an ode to this majestic bird. In the original version, ominous strings support a complicated percussive ecosystem of coconuts, bananas, and crocodile spines. The swinging jungle techno is also punctuated by a sparse series of analogue outbursts. 'Scarlet Macaw Unstrung' takes the jumpy workout a step further, stripping the strings and emphasizing the raw energy of the bare drums. Both versions show an unexpected deeper side of VonStroke that has popped up lately on his remixes of 'Warpaint' (Hussle) and 'Pitch It' (Connaisseur). Edgar Dirksen's star is on the rise.
