"Alto-saxophonist Leo Wright got his start in Dizzy Gillespie's band in 1959, but by the time he released Soul Talk in 1970 (recorded by legendary producer Tom Dowd) for Atlantic/Vortex Records, he already had several 'soul jazz' albums under his own name.
