Title: Rhythm To Dakar EP
Label: APPAREL MUSIC (UK)
Format: 12"
Price: $12.00
Catalog #: APL 006EP
Yapacc's trademark sound mixes techno in a deep, unique masterful way. An orchestra in "Earth Race" shows us new, magical worlds within the groove. "Rhythm To Dakar" is a flight for the dancefloor. Funky bass takes us back in time, but without losing the essential direction of the grooves, which are fresh and spreadable. Alejandro Mosso breaks it all down in his remix, reassembling and creating a whole new world -- parallel to but different from the original mix.

Title: Boutique Minimal
Label: NEUTONMUSIC (GERMANY)
Format: 12"
Price: $11.00
Catalog #: NEUM 027EP
"With Boutique Minimal, Yapacc, who releases on Treibstoff, Multicolor and on Perlon under the Narcotic Syntax moniker (with James Dean Brown), is having his follow up on Neutonmusic. The A-side is a twisted but soulful minimal piece which features Swiss poem artist Bettie Synclair on the vocals. This is a slow building 9-minute take on current minimal techno with warped funk. On the B-side, 3 Channels (Crosstown Rebels, Trapez) from Poland re-interpreted the track into a more ravish version, with quantized drums and beats, bleeps, vocal snippets and sharp hand-claps. We think this is one of the best pieces of work they've produced in the past few months."

Title: N!ce
Label: NEUTONMUSIC (GERMANY)
Format: 12"
Price: $11.50
Catalog #: NEUM 033EP
"It's been a busy year for Yapacc. He released a handful of quality releases on Wir, The Green Empire and LessIzMore, remixed Dole & Kom, German pop-duo 2Raumwohnung, co-produced three releases with Good Groove, the studio wizard is also working currently on his very first solo debut. Ex-Repeat Repeat member, Mark Rutherford, shows his first solo work under his Object Object moniker, and proves easily why Andrew Weatherall calls himself a fan. This is a dark, somehow trippy, much weirder (and faster) version of the original -- which reminds us of submarine raves from back in the late 1950s."

Title: Second Life
Label: WIR (GERMANY)
Format: 12"
Price: $11.50
Catalog #: WIR 011EP
"Yapacc's music is known for meandering through the body in a very particular way and preferably from all sides simultaneously. So no wonder that both your head and legs will start dancing and moving around when these tracks are sweeping through your body. And there would have been no better place to release these tracks than on W.I.R. Monsieur loves to constantly readjust his perspective, and often within one and the same track. For some people, one brainwave per track might be fine, but not for mister Yapacc, oh no! Compared to any other contemporary producer, under his magic hands the routines with little hustling sound pads start singing, the state of the art minimal sound starts dreaming and playfulness blends well with conceptual strictness. The emotional density seems to herald of past techno virtues, while the beat structure pushing ahead sails close to the future in a romantic and well-informed way. And by the way: it really is for the dancefloor, oh yes, definitely."

Title: Karma Of Battlefield
Label: WIR (GERMANY)
Format: 12"
Price: $12.00
Catalog #: WIR 018EP
"On huge battlegrounds the inner demons clash: Yapacc's new masterpiece goes epic and tells you an existentialist story about rigid contemplation and mass euphoria, providing glamorous drumrolls, a comeback long overdue and keeping his shit most generally together while setting up enough traps to become entangled in. 'Karma Of Battlefield' comes in an elegiac, post apocalyptic disguise just to surprise with siren chants and cutting edge chimes. It's a groundbreaking piece of music, just as his sibling 'Conga De Terre,' which loosens its high end percussions with a well dosed infusion of bittersweet symphony and proves that beefy barbarians have feelings, too. In the heat of the battle, Yapacc lives up to the promise, that's why we love him, and that's why we release him too."
