Artist: REID, TERRY
Title: River
Label: 4 MEN WITH BEARDS
Format: LP
Price: $17.00
Catalog #: 4M 108LP
"This bestselling reissue will now finally be available on 180 gram audiophile vinyl with gatefold sleeve. Featuring David Lindley on guitar, River blends the heavy rock sounds of the early Jeff Beck Group (Truth and Beck-Ola) with the folky vibe of 'acoustic' Led Zeppelin (Led Zep III) and Tim Buckley. Terry Reid's highly melodic songwriting and scintillating vocals distinguish him from his peers. Terry Reid would probably have been more famous if he hadn't turned down the slot of lead singer for Led Zeppelin in 1968 to pursue his own unique musical path, but albums like this make us glad he did!"

Label: 4 MEN WITH BEARDS
Format: LP

"Originally released in January of 1969, this is Aretha's sixth album for Atlantic and mistakenly one of her most under-rated '60s albums. Despite the title, Soul '69 is a brilliant jazz flavored set (with sophisticated brass arrangements and cool horn playing) featuring 'Today I Sing The Blues', 'Gentle On My Mind' plus passionate covers of The Miracles' 'Tracks Of My Tears' and Sam Cooke's 'Bring It On Home To Me' among others. Label: 4 MEN WITH BEARDS
Format: LP
Price: $17.00

"Aretha Franklin's 1971 album Live at Fillmore West was a seminal soul breakthrough. It finally cemented her status beyond soul audiences and it matched her with a phenomenal rhythm section in King Curtis and the Kingpens. Franklin adroitly mixed pop, rock, and soul material throughout the three nights, including Stephen Stills' 'Love The One You're With,' and Bread's 'Make It With You,' and the Beatles' 'Eleanor Rigby,' as well as true favorites 'Respect,' 'Don't Play That Song,' and 'Spirit in the Dark,' which brought Ray Charles out of the audience for a spirited duet. Deluxe gatefold sleeve featuring photos from the concert and new liner notes by Down Beat contributor Mitch Myers (including fresh interviews with original album producers Jerry Wexler and Arif Mardin)." Artist: CLARK, GENE
Title: Gene Glark (White Light)
Label: 4 MEN WITH BEARDS
Format: LP
Price: $17.00
Catalog #: 4M 116LP
"Further proof that 1971 could very well have been the best year ever for pop music is Gene Clark's self-titled LP (often referred to as White Light). Following his 1966 departure from The Byrds, as well as a release with the Gosdin Brothers and two with Doug Dillard as Dillard & Clark, Gene cut White Light with guitarist/producer Jesse Ed Davis, Burrito Brother Chris Ethridge and pianist Ben Sidran (then of the Steve Miller Band). This album is a country-rock classic featuring eight Clark originals and a stellar cover of the Dylan/Band cut 'Tears Of Rage.'"

Artist: SILL, JUDEE
Title: Judee Sill
Label: 4 MEN WITH BEARDS
Format: LP
Price: $17.00
Catalog #: 4M 120LP
"Judee Sill's debut album (as well as the debut of the Asylum label) heralded a major new talent in the airy, contemporary folk world of the early '70s. The album employed the production skills of Sill's ex-husband Bob Harris, as well as ex-Turtle, ex-Leaves Jim Pons, and Graham Nash (on the album's sole single, 'Jesus Was s Crossmaker'). Judee Sill featured all original compositions, many of which relied on Sill's own brand of cosmological Christian imagery to make their point. By turns spare and lavishly orchestrated, there is still a cohesive feel to all of the album; her lyrics are exceptionally poetic and her voice is smooth enough to give every song a shimmery feel. The essence of the music is folk, the execution pop: the songs feel like a comfort blanket, a statement of hope from a troubled soul." The first release on David Geffen's Asylum label in 1971. Recently listed on Jim O'Rourke's Desert Island all-time top ten!

Artist: SILL, JUDEE
Title: Heart Food
Label: 4 MEN WITH BEARDS
Format: LP
Price: $17.00
Catalog #: 4M 121LP
"The second album Judee Sill made proved to be her last. A notoriously slow songwriter, this enjoyable outing took its toll on Sill during its making, turning her back to her recently kicked heroin addiction and away from the desire to create more music. Instead of using an outside arranger for the strings (as she did on her previous album), Sill did all of the work herself. Her lack of formal training and the immense amount of orchestral overdubs certainly would have made such an outing a hardship for anyone. It's a stellar example of the kind of singer/songwriter fare the music industry was mining in the early '70s. The supporting cast of top L.A. studio musicians solidifies Sill's unique brand country-flavored pop, which moves from introspective meanderings to loping rock, often within a single song."

Artist: HANCOCK, HERBIE
Title: OST Blow-Up
Label: 4 MEN WITH BEARDS
Format: LP
Price: $17.00
Catalog #: 4M 122LP
"In late 1966, Herbie Hancock with Freddie Hubbard, Joe Henderson, Ron Carter and Jack DeJohnette entered a New York studio to capture the vibe of 'swinging London' in a jazz mode -- with grooves that create effective bluesy moods on the slow pieces and funky ones on the up-tempo tracks. Meanwhile in London, the Yardbirds (with Jeff Beck and Jimmy Page) were recording additional material for use in the Blow-Up movie soundtrack. Liner notes by maverick journalist Steve Dollar. Superb audiophile remastering." 180 gram HQ vinyl. Gatefold sleeve.

Artist: VA
Title: OST Zabriskie Point
Label: 4 MEN WITH BEARDS
Format: LP
Price: $17.00
Catalog #: 4M 123LP
"Originally released in 1970, the soundtrack from Antonioni' s weird and wild classic features the debut solo recordings by Grateful Dead guitarist Jerry Garcia (only available on this soundtrack) as well as a number of songs recorded especially for the movie by Pink Floyd. Also includes 1960's nuggets from the Grateful Dead, John Fahey, The Jessie Cohn Young & The Youngbloods, Roscoe Holcomb, and David Lindley's Kaleidoscope. Deluxe gatefold sleeve includes rare photo stills from the movie and new liner notes about the music and film by maverick journalist Steve Dollar." Original cover art. 180 gram hQ vinyl.

Artist: RIDDLE, NELSON
Title: OST Lolita
Label: 4 MEN WITH BEARDS
Format: LP
Price: $17.00
Catalog #: 4M 124LP
"Perhaps best known for his arrangements on Frank Sinatra's classic 1950s Capitol Records releases, Nelson Riddle was also an accomplished and popular soundtrack composer. This is the deluxe gatefold 180 gram vinyl edition of his 1962 original score for Stanley Kubrick's classic film Lolita. It contains 'Lolita Ya Ya' (reprised in a slightly longer version as 'Charlotte Is Dead'), a maddeningly vapid and catchy track with nonsense vocals that comes across as a simultaneously vicious and good-humored parody of the kitschiest elements of early '60s rock 'n roll. Deluxe gatefold with liner notes by Michael Layne Heath."

Artist: CALE, JOHN
Title: Paris 1919
Label: 4 MEN WITH BEARDS
Format: LP
Price: $17.00
Catalog #: 4M 125LP
"Originally released in 1973, Paris 1919 is Cale's fourth solo release following his departure from the Velvet Underground. Cale's songs on Paris 1919 are hyper-literate numbers filled with political intrigue and shady characters loosely based around the Versailles Conference alluded to in the album's title. Recorded with help from Lowell George and Richie Hayward of Los Angeles southern-rockers Little Feat and the UCLA Symphony Orchestra. Pitchfork called Paris 1919 'the most accessible and most purely beautiful record of Cale's storied, multi-faceted career.'"

Artist: SIMONE, NINA
Title: The Amazing Nina Simone
Label: 4 MEN WITH BEARDS
Format: LP
Price: $17.00
Catalog #: 4M 126LP
"Nina's second LP, originally released in 1959, The Amazing Nina Simone features a repertoire ranging from a swinging 'Stompin' at the Savoy' and an emotional 'It Might as Well Be Spring' to an English folk ballad ('Tomorrow'), spirituals, and an R&B song ('You've Been Gone Too Long') and is backed by a subtle orchestra arranged by Bob Mersey that effectively showcases her top-form vocals. 180 gram vinyl."

Artist: SIMONE, NINA
Title: Nina At Town Hall
Label: 4 MEN WITH BEARDS
Format: LP
Price: $17.00
Catalog #: 4M 129LP
"One of Nina Simone's finest recordings, this 1959 Colpix LP features the unique singer/pianist performing classic versions of 'Black Is the Color of My True Love's Hair,' 'The Other Woman,' and 'Wild Is the Wind.' With supportive work from bassist Jimmy Bond and drummer Al 'Tootie' Heath, she also sounds fine on a few instrumentals. 'Summertime' is performed twice, once as a vocal. From the start of her career, Nina Simone carved out her own unique niche, meshing together her classical piano technique with folk singing, civil rights protest lyrics and jazz. All of those elements are in evidence on this highly recommended set."

Artist: FRANKLIN, ARETHA
Title: Lady Soul
Label: 4 MEN WITH BEARDS
Format: LP
Price: $17.00
Catalog #: 4M 130LP
"This 1968 LP was powered by three hit singles (including '[You Make Me Feel Like] A Natural Woman') each nested in the upper reaches of the pop Top 10. It became Aretha's second Gold LP and remained on the charts for over a year."

Artist: FRANKLIN, ARETHA
Title: Aretha Now
Label: 4 MEN WITH BEARDS
Format: LP
Price: $17.00
Catalog #: 4M 131LP
"Aretha Franklin at the peak of her early form. 'Think,' 'I Say a Little Prayer,' 'See Saw,' and 'I Can't See Myself Leaving You' were all big hits. Her choice of cover material included some of her most R&B-drenched early Atlantic cuts, like 'Night Time Is the Right Time,' 'You Send Me,' and 'I Take What I Want.' Also includes original artwork."

Artist: BUCKLEY, TIM
Title: Goodbye and Hello
Label: 4 MEN WITH BEARDS
Format: LP
Price: $17.00
Catalog #: 4M 132LP
Gatefold 180 gram LP reissue of this album from 1967, the 2nd Buckley album, originally issued by Elektra. Produced by Jac Holzman and Jerry Yester. "One of the great rock vocalists of the 1960s, Tim Buckley drew from folk, psychedelic rock, and progressive jazz to create a considerable body of adventurous work in his brief lifetime. Often cited as the ultimate Tim Buckley statement, Goodbye and Hello is indeed a fabulous album. Contains 'Once I Was' and 'Pleasant Street.' Original artwork."

Artist: BUCKLEY, TIM
Title: Blue Afternoon
Label: 4 MEN WITH BEARDS
Format: LP
Price: $17.00
Catalog #: 4M 133LP
Gatefold 180 gram LP reissue of this album, originally released in 1969. "Blue Afternoon is Buckley's fourth album and his first for Frank Zappa's Straight label. Continuing with the jazz inflected folk-rock he first unveiled on his previous release, Happy Sad, Buckley's songs are complimented here by classy arrangements featuring vibes player David Friedman and Lee Underwood's beautifully understated guitar work. A classic from perhaps the most unique American singer-songwriter of the '60s and '70s."

Artist: BUCKLEY, TIM
Title: Starsailor
Label: 4 MEN WITH BEARDS
Format: LP
Price: $17.00
Catalog #: 4M 134LP
"Originally released in 1970, Starsailor is the most unique and uncompromising release of Tim Buckley's brief but productive career. Combining jazz and avant-garde elements with folk-rock and Buckley's acrobatic vocal performances, this album is one of the most experimental singer-songwriter records of all time. Though it was a commercial failure at the time of its release, Starsailor has since become a sought-after cult classic."

Artist: FLYING BURRITO BROS, THE
Title: The Gilded Palace of Sin
Label: 4 MEN WITH BEARDS

"Originally released in 1969, The Gilded Palace Of Sin is the debut release from one of the most influential country-rock outfits of all time. Helmed by the legendary Gram Parsons with help from ex-Byrd Chris Hillman and L.A. pedal steel maverick 'Sneaky' Pete Kleinow, The Burritos' debut features 'Sin City' (later covered by Parsons' compatriot Emmylou Harris), 'Wheels,' 'Christine's Tune,' and other classics. Forget your Eagles and your Poco, this is the real L.A. country-rock, or as Gram himself called it, 'Cosmic American Music.'"

Contains the original versions of tunes like 'We're Gonna Have A Real Good Time Together,' and 'Ride Into The Sun' as well as an early version of the classic 'Rock & Roll' (from 1970's Loaded). While not as cohesive or fully formed as VU, Another View is no less essential to the true Velvets fan's collection."

Artist: NICO
Title: Chelsea Girl
Label: 4 MEN WITH BEARDS
Format: LP
Price: $17.00
Catalog #: 4M 138LP
"Her debut originally released in 1967 (mere months after the groundbreaking The Velvet Underground & Nico album). A masterpiece of dark orchestral folk-pop featuring playing and songwriting help from the VU's Lou Reed, John Cale and Sterling Morrison (as well as the then unknown Jackson Browne who was dating Nico at the time). Features the definitive version of Browne's 'These Days,' as well as classics like the title track and Tim Hardin's 'Eulogy For Lenny Bruce.'"

Artist: THOMPSON, RICHARD AND LINDA
Title: Shoot Out the Lights
Label: 4 MEN WITH BEARDS
Format: LP
Price: $17.00
Catalog #: 4M 139LP
"It's the palpable tension of Richard and Linda's ongoing divorce that gives the songs on this 1982 LP like 'Don't Renege On Our Love' and 'Did She Jump Or Was She Pushed' an edgy bite different from the duo's other LPs. Original artwork."

Artist: CLUSTER
Title: Cluster '71
Label: 4 MEN WITH BEARDS
Format: LP
Price: $17.00
Catalog #: 4M 140LP
Full gatefold jacket. "Dieter Moebius and Hans-Joachim Roedelius aka Cluster released this, their first album after Conrad Schnitzler (Kraftwerk, Tangerine Dream) left the group originally known as Kluster, in 1971. On the outer edge of German space rock, Cluster '71 stands as a testament to minimalist 'cosmische' music. The three untitled tracks are exploratory, ever-changing pieces which focus on guitar distortion and synthesizer wails. This album deserves the many accolades it's been given, and holds up as an early landmark in the history of beatless ambience."

Artist: CLUSTER & ENO
Title: Cluster & Eno
Label: 4 MEN WITH BEARDS
Format: LP
Price: $17.00
Catalog #: 4M 141LP
"Originally recorded and released in 1977, this pioneering ambient album brought together several legends of progressive electronic music: Brian Eno, solo artist and collaborator with David Bowie, Robert Fripp, and Roxy Music; Dieter Moebius and Hans-Joachim Roedelius aka Cluster, both of whom made dozens of ground-breaking recordings throughout the '70s; and Conny Plank, who recorded everyone from Neu! to Ash Ra Tempel to Devo. This album was the first of several celebrated collaborations between these artists, whose influence looms over such current bands as Aphex Twin, Boards Of Canada, and Mouse On Mars."

Artist: BIG STAR
Title: 3rd
Label: 4 MEN WITH BEARDS
Format: LP
Price: $17.00
Catalog #: 4M 142LP

Artist: BELL, CHRIS
Title: I Am the Cosmos
Label: 4 MEN WITH BEARDS
Format: LP
Price: $17.00
Catalog #: 4M 143LP
"Big Star guitarist Chris Bell was one of the unsung heroes of American pop music; despite a life marked by tragedy and a career crippled by commercial indifference, the singer/songwriter's slim body of recorded work proved massively influential on the generations of indie rockers who emerged in his wake. Lyrically poignant and melodically stunning, this lone solo album is proof positive of his underappreciated pop mastery. 180 gram vinyl." 70s recordings, including his '78 7" release, that were later compiled into a full length CD by Rykodisc in 1992 -- this is the vinyl version of that.

Artist: PICKETT, WILSON

Artist: BUCKLEY, TIM
Title: Happy Sad
Label: 4 MEN WITH BEARDS
Format: LP
Price: $17.00
Catalog #: 4M 145LP
"One of the best albums of the late '60s and Tim Buckley's most underrated album, Happy Sad was a change-up pitch for the eclectic L.A. singer/songwriter. Sounding like a bit like Fred Neil's Capitol-era albums, Buckley and his small, acoustic-based ensemble create beautiful, jazz tinged folk-rock."

Artist: BUCKLEY, TIM
Title: Lorca
Label: 4 MEN WITH BEARDS
Format: LP
Price: $17.00
Catalog #: 4M 146LP
"Buckley's 1970 Asylum album once again available on vinyl. Continuing his jazz explorations, Buckley created the most 'out' album of his career. The 5/4 time signature title track is strikingly weird with haunted house pipe organ and two faster-paced numbers, the mellow contemplative love song 'I Had A Talk With My Woman' and the slightly funky blues-based 'Nobody Walkin',' are even fun. The band is Lee Underwood, John Balkin (bass, haunted house pipe organ on 'Lorca'), and Carter Collins (congas).180 gram."

Artist: FUGS, THE
Title: Tenderness Junction
Label: 4 MEN WITH BEARDS
Format: LP
Price: $17.00
Catalog #: 4M 147LP
"The Fugs were the original outsider artists, releasing their first recordings on the legendary avant-garde label ESP-Disk' in the mid-1960s before signing to Reprise. Formed around the core of Ed Sanders and Tuli Kupferberg, The Fugs combined jug band music, smutty rock'n'roll, country ballads, Gregorian chants, canticles, and bohemian poetry into a stoned stew of anti-establishment freakouts! Now their first two albums for Reprise are available on vinyl for the first time since their original 1967-68 release. Two classics of the original NYC freak-folk scene!"

Artist: WALKER, SCOTT
Title: Scott
Label: 4 MEN WITH BEARDS
Format: LP
Price: $17.00
Catalog #: 4M 149LP
"One of the most enigmatic figures in pop music history Scott Walker (nee Scott Engel) first saw massive success in England with his band The Walker Brothers in 1965. Not really brothers, nor were they British, the trio left Hollywood seeking fame in England, and they found it there for a time with their particular brand of orchestrated pop. Following the group's demise in 1967, Walker set out to pursue solo stardom in perhaps the most peculiar way possible, with over-the-top baroque pop songs owing more to his idol Jacques Brel, Tony Bennett and Frank Sinatra than they did to The Beatles or The Stones. This is his first solo LP from 1967 and features 3 of his own compositions along with covers of songs by Brel, Tim Hardin, and the Brill Building team of Cynthia Weil and Barry Mann. A true original."

Artist: WALKER, SCOTT
Title: Scott 2
Label: 4 MEN WITH BEARDS
Format: LP
Price: $17.00
Catalog #: 4M 150LP
"Originally released in 1968, Scott 2 made it all the way to number one on the UK pop charts, perhaps the strangest number one hit in pop history. Continuing with his orchestral obsession, Scott 2 features over-the-top string and horn arrangements, occasionally veering into dangerously schmaltzy territory. This production style is in drastic contrast to the lyrical content, songs of despair, prostitution, homosexuality, and brutal honesty, indicting the same glamorous and glitzy lifestyle that his baroque pop style emblemizes. Along with many originals, Scott 2 features songs by Jacques Brel, Tim Hardin, and Bacharach/David."

Artist: WALKER, SCOTT
Title: Scott 3
Label: 4 MEN WITH BEARDS
Format: LP
Price: $17.00
Catalog #: 4M 151LP
"Scott 3, originally released in 1969, marked a big change in Walker's approach to albums as, for the first time, the record is dominated by his original compositions. In fact, the only other songwriter that makes it onto the album is Walker's idol, Belgium's legendary singer/songwriter Jacques Brel. Scott 3 again features string heavy production courtesy of Wally Scott, though it occasionally moves out of pop ballad territory into a more cinematic feel influenced by Ennio Morricone, among others. An huge influence on folks like David Bowie and Nick Cave, as well as just about anybody on the 4AD label." 180 gram vinyl; gatefold sleeve.

Artist: WALKER, SCOTT
Title: Scott 4
Label: 4 MEN WITH BEARDS
Format: LP
Price: $17.00
Catalog #: 4M 152LP
"Despite being the first of his solo albums not to reach the British Top 10, Scott 4 was perhaps his best, and most ambitious album to date. Originally released in 1969, it is the first record to feature only Scott Walker originals. It is also the first to back off a bit from the heavily string laden production of past releases, allowing other sonic influences to shine through, from country to folk to soul. The lyrical content remains intense as Walker tackles everything from War to Stalinism to heartbreak with equal success. A classic." 180 gram vinyl; gatefold sleeve.

Artist: PUBLIC IMAGE LIMITED
Title: Metal Box
Label: 4 MEN WITH BEARDS
Format: 3x12"
Price: $43.00
Catalog #: 4M 500LP
"The second album by John Lydon's post-Sex Pistols outing Public Image Ltd. was originally released in the UK in 1979 in a limited edition film canister style metal box containing three twelve-inch 45s. Some managed to float across the Atlantic into the hands of a fortunate few, making the Metal Box a bit of a post-punk collectors' holy grail. Unavailable for almost 30 years, the Metal Box is back with the express permission of John Lydon as an exact reproduction of the original. Remastered for better sound than the 1979 vinyl."

Reissue of the 1st Television (featuring Tom Verlaine) album, originally issued on Elektra in 1977. Features: exact reproduction on 180 gram vinyl, original artwork including lyrics and memorabilia, detailed liner notes by Michael Layne Heath, all-analog mastering from the original master tapes."

Artist: SAINTS, THE
Title: (I'm) Stranded
Label: 4 MEN WITH BEARDS
Format: LP
Price: $17.00
Catalog #: 4M 502LP
"The Saints were to Australia what the Sex Pistols were to Britain, and the Ramones to America. Moreover, the Saints were blitzing the unsuspecting in their home of Brisbane in 1973, long before the Sex Pistols or the Ramones had even begun. Even today's punk fans are amazed at the sheer tenacity and outright fire of the title cut, 'Nights in Venice,' 'One Way Street,' and 'Erotic Neurotic.' Hear history burning. Original artwork, gatefold sleeve, 180 gram vinyl."

Artist: CONTORTIONS
Title: Buy
Label: 4 MEN WITH BEARDS
Format: LP
Price: $17.00
Catalog #: 4M 503LP
"In 1979 the quintessential 'no wave' group released two albums simultaneously; Buy was effectively the group's debut, originally appearing on the indie label ZE, while the same project was released as Off White under the adopted alias of James White, one of the many identities of leader James Chance. The Contortions are considered to be one of the most important and influential groups of the N.Y. no wave scene, which spawned the crazed postmodern persona of James Chance alongside Lydia Lunch, Mars, and DNA, among others. James Chance was a sort of avant lounge lizard personality cult who led numerous projects throughout the '80s, yet he never quite topped the warped distillation of punk, funk, and free jazz presented here. Original artwork, 180 gram vinyl."

Artist: WHITE & THE BLACKS, JAMES
Title: Off White
Label: 4 MEN WITH BEARDS
Format: LP
Price: $17.00
Catalog #: 4M 504LP
"For Off White, James Chance, a veteran of New York's avant-garde 'no wave' scene, recast his seminal band the Contortions as a parody of a soul band, albeit one incorporating the rhythms of disco and funk rather than R&B. Thus, Chance became James White (as a nod to James Brown), the Contortions became the Blacks, and his music, previously a twisted, experimental brand of avant-jazz, became a disco/funk/free jazz hybrid. As bizarre as the fusion of Albert Ayler and Giorgio Moroder might sound, Off White works primarily because Chance commits to both sides of the music. By carefully constructing his music with such polar opposites, Chance manages to highlight how both of them have more similarities, especially in rhythm, than would appear at first listen. Original artwork, 180 gram vinyl."

Artist: BUZZCOCKS
Title: Singles Going Steady
Label: 4 MEN WITH BEARDS
Format: LP
Price: $17.00
Catalog #: 4M 505LP
"If you think Never Mind the Bollocks and London Calling are punk masterpieces, then there's no question that you have to buy Singles Going Steady. Manchester's legendary Buzzcocks were one of the best, most influential punk bands. Pete Shelley & co. combined full-blast guitars, ear-catching melodies and social/romantic contents. This essential collection originally released in 1979 contains their masterpiece 'Ever Fallen In Love?'. Original artwork, gatefold sleeve, 180 gram vinyl."

Artist: SLITS, THE
Title: Cut
Label: 4 MEN WITH BEARDS
Format: LP
Price: $17.00
Catalog #: 4M 506LP
"Originally released in 1979, the debut from British all-girl post-punk band The Slits is available on 180 gram vinyl for the first time. Mixing a punk attitude and D.I.Y style with reggae rhythms and dub recording techniques, The Slits made some of the most avant pop of the period, which still sounds fresh and innovative today. Mixing unavoidable hooks, minimalist arrangements, and exuberant vocals with a rough, street smart style, Cut is a classic masterwork."

Artist: TELEVISION
Title: Adventure
Label: 4 MEN WITH BEARDS
Format: LP
Price: $17.00
Catalog #: 4M 507LP
"The second album for the one of the greatest guitar bands of all time. Highlighting the fire and water string interplay of Tom Verlaine and Richard Lloyd, Adventure portrays the dreamier side of this groundbreaking 1970s band. Original artwork. New detailed liner notes. Audiophile 180 gram vinyl."

Artist: WIRE
Title: Pink Flag
Label: 4 MEN WITH BEARDS
Format: LP
Price: $17.00
Catalog #: 4M 508LP
"Originally released on Harvest in 1977, Pink Flag is perhaps the most original debut album to come out of the first wave of British punk. Exhibiting severe art school damage, Wire careens at breakneck speed through 21 songs in 36 minutes to create an album that has influenced bands for nearly thirty years. Original artwork. 180 gram audiophile vinyl."

Artist: WIRE
Title: Chairs Missing
Label: 4 MEN WITH BEARDS
Format: LP
Price: $17.00
Catalog #: 4M 509LP
"With its Eno-esque synth textures, Chairs Missing has been often cited as the evolutionary link between punk and post-punk. In general, the lyrics are darker than those on Pink Flag, even morbid at times; images of cold, drowning, pain, and suicide haunt the record, and the title itself is a reference to mental instability. Originally released in 1978 and now available for the first time on 180 gram audiophile vinyl. Original artwork."

Artist: WIRE
Title: 154
Label: 4 MEN WITH BEARDS
Format: LP
Price: $17.00
Catalog #: 4M 510LP
"If Chairs Missing is the transition album from punk to post-punk, 154 is definitely of the latter genre. Synth moves to the forefront on this 1979 third album from Wire along with melodies that help humanize the electronic textures. Named for the number of gigs the band had played to that point, 154 shows how far this band had come in three years over three albums. Original artwork. First time on 180 gram audiophile vinyl."
