"Fore -- that's Volume 4 if you're counting. Arcania's Aliens series is primarily known for illuminating the shadow world of Virginia's mid-to-late '60s garage and psychedelic bands. The last Vol. (it's been almost 5 years) included half a dozen cuts from outside of VA. This is the reverse of that. Only half a dozen of the tracks on Fore are from the Old Dominion State. The roots of proto-psychedelia are to be heard on this compilation's first two tracks. Hollywood unknowns from 1965, never released until Arcania tracked them down: 'The Wind Blows Your Hair' is the same song recorded by The Seeds two years later. 'Don't Be Afraid' may have a very famous musician on it. 'It' is all in the notes of our 20-page booklet, along with loads of other info. FUZZ is the buzz word for this release, but there is some pop and jangle as well. All told, 7 of the 25 songs are previously unreleased. Only one song out of the batch has ever been reissued. Those that came out in the '60s are virtually unknown, even to most collectors. Unknown for now. But here comes Aliens Psychos & Wild Things... Fore! 20-page booklet. 25 songs. 74 minutes of music."
