Title: BNR Volume 1
Label: BOYSNOIZE RECORDS (GERMANY)
Format: 2CD
Price: $21.00
Catalog #: BNR 005CD
Boysnoize Records presents their first-ever label compilation -- two CDs featuring the best of four years of BNR releases. Today, almost 4 years after its first release, Berlin's BNR has a strong following of many diverse underground DJs worldwide. Innovative, refreshing, idiosyncratic releases from Boys Noize, Shadow Dancer, D.I.M., Housemeister, Les Petits Pilous, Siriusmo, Strip Steve, Puzique and U.S. indie band The Faint, range from modern techno to old school house to classic electronica and back again, creating the sound that's made BNR one of today's leading electronic music labels. It's not about one particular style; it's about quality electronic music and fun. Boysnoize Records has both discovered and developed new young producers and released the first remixes from unknown artists that got big a year later. Pedro Winter (Ed Banger Chief/Daft Punk Management) once said that "BNR is the German Ed Banger." That is certainly a welcome compliment, but inspiration can also be seen through imprints like Warp or XL in their first stages. This compilation proves that this imprint is more then a passing phenomenon, Boys are here for good. Other artists include: Djedjotronic, Spoek, John Starlight, Das Glow, Darmstadt, Einzeller, CLP, I Robots, Pandullo vs. Und, Feadz, Brodinski, and Eastwest.

Artist: SHADOW DANCER
Title: Golden Traxe
Label: BOYSNOIZE RECORDS (GERMANY)
Format: CD
Price: $17.00
Catalog #: BNR 006CD
This is the debut album from UK duo Shadow Dancer. After three smashing EPs on Boysnoize Records as well as remixes for Chromeo, The Faint and The Teenagers, Shadow Dancer present Golden Traxe, a culmination of the UK duo's electronica, cut-up techno, acid house and space disco sounds. Already loved and greatly supported by a range of classy producers such as Erol Alkan, Mr. Oizo and Modeselektor, this album takes the UK duo to the next level. Shadow Dancer began in the summer of 2006 almost by accident. Brothers Paul and Alan Farrier had been writing music since childhood, drawn to follow synthesizers rather than guitars by their love of artists such as Jean-Michel Jarre, Kraftwerk, Human League and Pet Shop Boys. Although the pop and video game music of the '80s was their initial inspiration, it was the sounds coming out of Detroit, Chicago and the European techno scene that started an obsession with electronic dance music. Having previously created tracks using tape overdubs and a limited sampler, they started to build up a small studio of second-hand synths. Based in Manchester, the brothers have played (both live and DJ sets) alongside Boys Noize, Trevor Jackson, A-Trak, Radioclit, Ivan Smagghe, Soulwax, Ed Banger Crew, D.I.M., Sinden, Surkin, Para One, Housemeister, Crookers, The Glimmers, Teenage Bad Girl, Filthy Dukes, Riton, Mixhell, and many others.

Title: Boysnoize Presents Super Acid
Label: BOYSNOIZE RECORDS (GERMANY)
Format: CD
Price: $17.00
Catalog #: BNR 008CD
Boysnoize Records has compiled 12 modern acid jams done by BNR artists and homies like Feadz, Joakim & Krikor and Brodinski, in a tribute to 20 years of acid. How does one make a classic acid track? First, you need a Roland TB-303 bass line which -- back in 1982 -- was made for musicians to replace the actual bass or guitar. Its manual is the most annoying thing to read because it teaches you classic music lessons -- no wonder that the concept of the Roland TB-303 as a real instrument failed and no one wanted to buy it. In the midle of the '80s, DJ Pierre, member of Phuture, produced a 12 minute track "Acid Trax" with just a drum machine and the 303 -- a totally new sound created for the clubs. Shortly after, a few more producers put that "useless" thing together with a drum machine such as the Roland TR-808 or 909, programmed a bass line pattern and recorded live sessions, abusing its incredible filters. Acid-house was born. Because the Roland TB 303 was so expensive, you can find diverse clones of that wonderful machine and you can even make acid sounds with your phone. Boysnoize presents a compilation full of new, modern acid, made in all kinds of ways. Some, well, most of the producers on this compilation have used the classic Roland 303, some used a 303 clone, a 303 plug-in and some even rocked the 303 iPhone application. Some of the producers on this compilation spent their time with all kinds of analog gear and mixers to have the original "warm" sound they love and some others just used a fucking laptop. Can you hear the difference Well, WE can, but do you really? And why release new acid tracks when you can find the best ones made 10-20 years ago? Because this is some fresh acid you haven't heard before, produced by incredible young talents that know everything about the acid-life -- producers that take this genre to another level into the future. Other artists include: Boys Noize, Jan Driver, Housemeister & Dave Tarrida, Noob, Brodinksi, Djedjotronic & Harvard Bass, Siriusmo, Erol Alkan, Shadow Dancer, Strip Steve, and Benny Rodrigues.

Artist: DRIVER, JAN
Title: Amatilda
Label: BOYSNOIZE RECORDS (GERMANY)
Format: CD
Price: $17.00
Catalog #: BNR 010CD
Jan Driver has been releasing music since 1993. Born and raised in Berlin, he started to produce music with analog gear and ever since, he's done more than 100 remixes for artists such as Armand Van Helden, Laurent Garnier, Boys Noize, Faithless, Blaze, Romanthony, Afrika Bambaata, and others. With his own hits and remixes, he has toured the world from 1995-2003, until he decided he needed a break, saying goodbye to the pressure of making hits. He founded his own label Grand Petrol in 2004 where he started to release more deeper and playful tech-house while also releasing the music of his long time friend, Siriusmo. Between 2006-2009, studio work took up most of his time, so he didn't do many DJing gigs but found himself being the mastering engineer, mixer and co-producer for Riva Starr, Modeselektor, Siriusmo and many more productions. In 2010, he released his much-anticipated Gain Reaction EP which got him big support from house and techno DJs like Erol Alkan, Miss Kitten, Tiga, A-Trak, Jesse Rose, Annie Mac and many more. Soon, Jan started producing his own music everyday and suddenly there was an album, his very first -- playful as never before, and so colorful -- an album that reflects his experience of almost 20 years of electronic music, quality production and forward-thinking tracks you can't put in any category. Do you like techno? Disco? Punk? UK dub-tech? Listen to this album -- it's all in there, but be prepared, your head might explode because of Jan's heavy bass. Real bass. Deep shit. Great tracks. Welcome back, Jan Driver.

Label: BOYSNOIZE RECORDS (GERMANY)

"Shadow Dancer is Paul Farrier from Manchester. In 2007, he produced his first release on Boys Noize Records. Four quality electronica tracks that were found in the DJ bags of Mr. Oizo, Erol Alkan, Feadz or 2ManyDJs. Today he's back with a new smart track called 'Cowbois' which is a cut-up disco hammer with great breaks and an EBM bass line to drive people wild. Forget about any styles that are hot or not, because Shadow Dancer's music is timeless, a dancefloor friendlier version of electronica music. Great remixes come from Das Glow (Institubes) who twisted the original completely into a 4/4 techno machine and that is exactly what we need! Young wizard Strip Steve (BNR) takes out the disco elements of the original and turns it into house music!"

"Waves" is a top-of-the-night Balearic/disco storm, while "Death Suite" is a more abstract, cut 'n' paste techno/acid rollercoaster. Artist: BOYS NOIZE
Title: Power
Label: BOYSNOIZE RECORDS (GERMANY)
Format: 2LP
Price: $20.00
Catalog #: BNR 037LP
2LP version (CD is released by Last Gang Records in the U.S.). One of the future's brightest electronic musicians, Berlin's Alex Ridha aka Boys Noize presents his second full-length album, Power. Ridha is, alongside peers Erol Alkan and Justice, part of a new mongrel breed of techno/electronica artist with a maverick bent and solid vision, beaming a myriad of influences from the past through a prism to create something fresh, new and exciting. Ridha has also become a sought-after producer of note, having worked with Kelis, Black Eyed Peas and Gonzales and officially remixing for the likes of Depeche Mode, Snoop Dogg, Late Of The Pier, and Royksopp. He has also mixed highly-regarded DJ compilations such as Bugged Out! and I Love Techno 2008 (MM 034CD). Instead of following the commercial path after the unexpected success of Oi Oi Oi, Boys Noize passed on any big feature names, eschewed the great pop approach, and avoided feeding trends. Power starts where Oi Oi Oi ended and shows the freshest of electronica and techno music. "Gax" features synths that flange forever, next to dark, robotic, chanting vocal samples, bolstered by an addictive, recurring synth pattern; "Drummer" is all rave-y bass-drum thud and swish, with squelching patterns rubber-balling and rising ever upwards; "Starter" is pummeling, stuttering drum machine, pitted against grinding guitar samples and crystalline plinks; and "Trooper" features steady, hard tribal drum patterns and a foreboding clarion call against A.I. vocal samples, like some sort of score to a cyborg apocalypse, and so on. Ridiculously danceable, futuristic, forward-thinking techno that announces the dawn of a new age.

"Horn Cloud" is the peak-time energy of this EP with a sweet melodic break, and Jesse Rose remixes the title track into a perfect groove.

"IckSchnallUp" and "Verflixt" are great tools, "Famous" is a typical Housemeister pusher and "Hyperactive" feels like a track that Jeff Mills could have done in his early techno days. All in all, this is not just an ordinary sequel, this will mark the next level, the next shift to the real deal.

Title: Boysnoize Presents Super Acid
Label: BOYSNOIZE RECORDS (GERMANY)
Format: 2LP
Price: $20.00
Catalog #: BNR 054LP
2LP version.

Title: Music Is Awesome
Label: BOYSNOIZE RECORDS (GERMANY)
Format: PIC. DISC
Price: $20.00
Catalog #: BNR 060LP
Everybody better bring some towels, because Housemeister is about to soak the world in electro champagne. Presenting his third full-length album, the dirty don of club music has done it again, touching ravers' hearts and hitting them right on their heads at the same time. Within the arts, good ideas are hard to find, and masterful musical output is pretty hard to achieve -- and with a thousand shitty drugs flooding the streets of music today, it isn't everyday that you come across grade A stuff like this. Music Is Awesome is shit that's straight from the kitchen, and Housemeister has produced this batch like a 5 star chef. It seems playing clubs and crowds all over the world do add to a player's game. Add class and confidence. Add experience and excellence. Add balls as well as balance, and 15 years of hardcore DJ-dom to be able to come out and kill like this. Music Is Awesome: Could any phrase be more simple and true? Could any DJ come up with a better beat-down of arty-farty music chit-chat, nipping critics in the bud, just like that!? And how could someone who's played a million records maintain such compass and focus? The unique studio-zoo of tools and toys he uses, his refreshing, hands-on, open-minded production approach, the iconic brand he's built, all showcase Housemeister's special qualities. This picture disc vinyl release is made for techno-monster collectors. Featuring contributions by Boys Noize and Jan Driver. Mastered by Lupo at Dubplates & Mastering, Berlin.

Artist: DRIVER, JAN
Title: Amatilda
Label: BOYSNOIZE RECORDS (GERMANY)
Format: 2LP
Price: $20.00
Catalog #: BNR 063LP
Gatefold 2LP version.

Only available on special limited edition vinyl, individually stamped and marked -- a mere 500 copies. This will be a strictly physical release. Boys Noize is back with a true ghetto release and the first part of his Boys Noize "live" sessions. "Buuurg" sounds like Hoovering worms, getting lost in the shuffle. Label: BOYSNOIZE RECORDS (GERMANY)
Format: 12"
Price: $12.50
Catalog #: BNR 068EP
Boysnoize Records' new signing SCNTST (17-year old Bryan Müller from Munich, Germany) has developed a sound he likes to call "Advanced Techno." While "Monday" is an effective tech tool, "Beachboy" confirms his sound is more than just new techno or house; it's futuristic, funky German juke. "Globus" matches a sharply defined groove against an almost subliminal bassline. Last track "909 Time" is inspired by SCNTST's heroes Lone and Legowelt. Someone to look out for.
