"Germany's finest providers of true dino-funk return. This time with the second release of the former Berlin-Kreuzberg wonder boys Extraproduktionen. The house live band existed for 3 years, put out an incredible EP on Freizeitglauben -- with maximum respect coming from the likes of Morgan Geist, Ata and the whole Playhouse Gang, C-Rock, DJ Koze or Ricardo Villalobos -- and then split up just before releasing their debut LP. Subgreen is most defo one of their most soulful and warm songs and perfectly displays their ability to create super deep and slow house music with live instruments. This ain't no bullshit, folks! London geezer Toby Tobias provides a remix and an edit as Templeton Peck. He's known from his releases on Hi-Phen and most recently Rekids, and he also delivered a hilarious mix for Bear Funk. The other mix comes Africa freak Arto Mwambé with a helping hand from friend Saap." Pressed on clear green vinyl.

"'It's a Long Way to Tipperary' and Brontosaurus is already reaching reference number 5 after its first most successful year of blood, sweat, tears and parmesello. The records have so far been hammered by such diverse DJs as Prins Thomas, Steve Bug, Richard Sen, Ata, Laurent Garnier, Radio Slave, DJ T., Steve Kotei, Baby G or Cassy, but have not yet turned the artists Arto Mwambe, The Exile Missile, Extraproduktionen and Lauer into rich people. The next attempt, Brontosaurus 5, contains two tracks of the label boss Phillip Lauer, known for his serious house & disco (even Italo) flavored proto-work-outs (recently he did some Brontosaurus remixes for the labels Boogie Farm and Rekids). As always, there will be 500 beautifully hand-crafted covers. Brontosaurus got game."

"'Hum Along' is one of the earliest productions of Mr. Mwambé. He started the track in the beginning of 2004 and for the last 4 years it has always been a very important and personal part of his life. Only Brontosaurus intelligence & ca$h were able to get this masterwork for this licky-boom-boom-down house 12". To complete the commotion, full time nice guy, father and electronic innovator Move D from the beautiful city of Heidelberg sat down to deliver a spontaneous disco version of the track -- reanimating the fresh and impro vibe of late '90s German disco/house productions. The B-side 'Greatest Love' continues where Arto's Mudhutma 12" ends, celebrating the unholy passion of deep house music."

"Brontosaurus was digging deep to present you some more old beauties from the most handsome Extra Produktionen camp. Consisting of Sebastian Maschat, Daniel Nentwig & Thomas Sabrowsky, the Berlin-based live project/house band released one genre-defining 12" on Freizeitglauben and a superb remix on Italic. People like Morgan Geist, Ata, Move D or Michael Mayer wrote love letters, then the guys split up. Sebastian & Daniel joined Whitest Boy Alive alongside Erlend Øye and DJ Highfish, while Thomas left Berlin for some serious business. But the story is not over: the incredible Brontosaurus Management put them on the map again by releasing the excellent Subgreen 12" in late 2006, and now it's time for the next episode: Feuerwehrhaus. Originally written and produced in 2001, it has always been one of Extra Produktionen's favorite tracks. They burned a Farfisa Isabell organ, recorded the sounds and programmed a killer beat with the results. Check out the remix and the original version. Another very special track is 'De Escalation BB' on B2. Daniel & Thomas were put in jail after the 1st of May riots in Berlin Kreuzberg, 2001. This was the year the German police started their de-escalation tactics -- seems like it worked out for the guys. This track was recorded just after they were released."
