Artist: CIRCULATORY SYSTEM
Title: Signal Morning
Label: CLOUD RECORDINGS
Format: CD
Price: $13.50
Catalog #: CLD 010CD
"Seven and a half years in the making, culled from hours of recorded material sculpted in at least seven different studios, the new Circulatory System album is an absolutely stellar document of song and sound. Still concerned with matters of the inner / the outer, the incomprehensibly huge and the very, very small. An imperative blast of kinetic motion, composed by W. Cullen Hart while in the midst of battling Multiple Sclerosis within his own system -- broadcasting his urgent pleas to the world(s) to evolve into a higher dimension, or for existing patterns to reveal themselves at peace within the natural order of the universe. Featuring all the members of The Olivia Tremor Control, as well as Jeff Mangum and Julian Koster of Neutral Milk Hotel. Thick with textures, layered percussion, angular guitars, vibrating strings, woodwinds, and brass."

Artist: SUPERCLUSTER
Title: Waves
Label: CLOUD RECORDINGS
Format: CD
Price: $13.50
Catalog #: CLD 012CD
"Supercluster is an Athens super-group featuring members of Pylon, The Olivia Tremor Control, Circulatory System, Deerhunter, Casper & The Cookies, The New Sound of Numbers/Sound Houses, Instruments, Bob Hay & The Jolly Beggars, and The Squalls. It has been described as 'Appalachian Wave' because of the combination of an eclectic mix of elements - three female vocalists, upbeat rhythms, violin, cello, mandolin, clarinets, acoustic guitar, keyboard, and angular electric guitar. Bringing together many generations of Athens music, they have been developing their sound through consistent practicing and live shows. This is also one of the last documents of the guitar skills of Randy Bewley (Pylon), who passed away earlier in 2009. Bradford Cox of Deerhunter, a longtime fan of Pylon, stepped in to help Supercluster in the studio after Randy passed away. Heather McIntosh of Instruments/Gnarls Barkley/Lil' Wayne also appears on the record and is playing live with the group now as well."

"Remastered and expanded re-issue of The Olivia Tremor Control's ambitious, highly influential second album from 1999, which originally sold 40,000 copies. Comes with a bonus disc featuring over and hour of unreleased, compilation, b-side, and live material.        "Pop at its most playful and the avant-garde at its cuddliest - a 27 song trip in which structure and chaos keep leap-frogging each other. Dedicated headphone junkies should be thrilled with the deep focus production and tidal wave of melody. Even the most elaborate concept albums can be fun." --Rolling Stone
