"In 'Diabolika,' the bass drum stumbles skillfully into the break, and the sounds patter down like a load of gravel when a digger unloads the shovel. A brief backpedaling and the bass drum marches on -- with double intensity. The flipside 'Gusts' shows how the bass drum can cooperate perfectly with diverse static noises.
