Japanese-only edition. First release from The Boredoms "Super Roots" CD series in nearly 8 years featuring live audio from the band's Christmas 2004 concert. Being the first live album from the band, this CD also includes a deluxe booklet with sheet music and a live photo collection. 3 songs, 35 minutes in all. The line-up was: "3 drums sets, 1 turntable, 2 DJ's & 24 Choir." Oversize jewel-case packaging and great Eye-artwork, as always.

Japanese-only exclusive release, packaged in deluxe gatefold digipak. Yoshimio features Yoshimi from Boredoms/OOIOO w/guest vocals by Kim Gordon of Sonic Youth (which includes a cover of "Death Valley '69"). Musically it's mostly a solo release by Yoshimi (featured on steel guitar, vocals, shell syntheizer, percussions, electric guitar, shaker, bell, whistle, drum machine, keyboards, drums, field recordings, etc.). The music is a soundtrack to a documentary movie of the same name; the movie focuses on the women of Yunnan, a remote area in southern China -- near Tibet, Laos, Myanmar and Vietnam. This movie (which is included as the DVD in this 2 disc set) is 42 minute film with various street shots of these Yunnan woman -- in the markets, looking at food, in the fields and just standing around in total elegance, in the most colorful clothing imaginable -- with no-narration or overt linear intention. Not exactly Sublime Frequencies style, but not that far off, either! And Yoshimio's ethno-trance soundtrack works perfectly. DVD is NTSC region free; Color; Stereo.

. The DVD features a 65-minute live performance, recorded in San Francisco, May 19th, 2005. The line up is Eye on vocals and electronics and general WTF, plus a circle of 3 drummers. The bonus CD features 2 new tracks: "U-bus" & "Relerer". The CD is a short EP, only about 11 minutes long. The info we received says: CD: "Yamataka Eye Original Breakbeats. DVD: Boredoms (V∞REDOMS) live DVD." The DVD is NTSC format, all regions, for worldwide play. Approx 65 mins., Color, 4:3 aspect ratio.
