"London-based, Brazil-born artist Cibelle is releasing a 12" comprising two characteristically inventive & quirky remixes by Matthew Herbert. Also included is the original version of 'Noite de Carnaval,' a track co-produced by Tunng's Mike Lindsay and by Apollo Nove (the visionary artist/producer from São Paulo). The 12" is rounded off by two tracks taken from Cibelle's amazing new album The Shine of Dried Electric Leaves : 'Mad Man Song', a song co-written and performed with Spleen (the Parisian beatboxer who also works with CocoRosie), and Flying High, a mini-epic produced by Cibelle with Apollo Nove and London electronica artist Benge. Both songs were mixed by Yann Arnaud (of Air-fame) in Paris."
