"The track that originally gave us the idea to start a subdivision on Curle for licensing undiscovered and/or forgotten pearls. To keep the link with the main label we asked our own artists to do a remix on the flip. 'Fearless Fun' was taken from the Wilmslow Road EP on Mind Your Head Records, Grimes' own label. Originally released in 2004, it only got remarked by a bigger audience when Ricardo put it at number 1 in his chart two years later. Because the vinyl was so hard to find -- but way too good to remain unknown to the masses -- we decided to license it with a 'big shot' remix on the flip. Because Efdemin -- incontournable since his amazing self-titled debut album on Dial -- loved the original so much, he agreed to give it a try. The result is a huuuge dancefloor tool."

"CRC from Finland is still a fresh name to the world. He already released on Force Inc, Phonocult and a few local labels, but under different disguises. After his track on Curle 009 (remixed by the mighty Convextion because he liked it so much!) CRC then got signed to Arne Weinberg's label for a track on their first compilation. His 'The Nymph' track, has been a secret weapon for many months. Combine the melodic virtuosity of a young Mathew Jonson with the deepness of the current Detroit sound and you're almost there. This is Curle Recordings' first CD release and Berlin-based Phillip Sollmann's debut mix CD as Efdemin, following his self-titled debut for Dial Records in 2007. Where Efdemin's earlier production work was focused on slow, abstract house in the vein of Theo Parrish, he has slowly turned to a more functional approach without losing his special sense for deepness. His sound design has become more clear and broad, and he knows just how to adjust old school influences to contemporary listening habits. Conforce is the moniker of a bloke from The Island of Terschelling in The Netherlands. He currently lives in the city of Leeuwarden, where he works as an audiovisual designer. Curle is a Belgian label launched by Fader in 2006 for all things deep techno and beyond. Curle quickly made itself a name with 12"s from Mark August, Dub Kult, Efdemin and Anthony Collins. Some of the tracks got licensed to mixes from Sven Väth and Richie Hawtin, amongst others. In 2008, the first Curle CD, mixed by Efdemin, was released to high international acclaim. 2009 brought contributions from Martyn, Soulphiction and Convextion, to name but a few. This is the first Curle from Stewart Walker. Japanese producer Ryo Murakami first got noticed by Steve Bug, who released tracks from him on Poker Flat and Dessous. First on is Dub Kult's track 'Crypt,' that was featured in Richie Hawtin's mix for Resident Advisor's 100th podcast. District One are Anton Pieete & Bart Skills from Amsterdam, whose releases on 100% Pure have been staples in all the sets of anyone that matters. On the flip is 'Fade To Grass' from Lars Wickinger, one of our best selling Curles to date. It gets the treatment from Jonas Kopp, who everyone knows from his wicked stuff on Spectral Sound and Weave. It often doesn't get much better than this!"

In 2010, Curle Recordings released the original "Golden Dusk" track on 300 limited golden vinyls. In their humble opinion, it's still one of the best tracks ever released on the label -- a very rare combination of deep techno and dancefloor hysteria. Scott Grooves liked it a lot too, and now there are no less than two different "Panther Versions" by Scott Grooves & Kataconda. First pressing on marbled colored vinyl 10" in a hard plastic bag.
