DVA 004EP
"Limited edition purple vinyl. Scratcha DVA is not just the charismatic host of Rinse FM's breakfast show, he's one of the UK's most accomplished producers. An associate of Terror Danjah from the late '90s, DVA supplied dubs to DJ Slimzee during grime's early days and has produced for luminaries of the scene like Wiley, Trim, Chipmunk, Tinchy Stryder and more. Scratcha has collaborated with beacons of the UK Funky scene like Roska, Cooly G, D-Malice and more while still releasing grime anthems like 'Nasty Nasty Nasty' and 'Bullet Ago Fly'.
The Jelly Roll
EP has already gained support from Marcus Nasty, Geeneus, Joker, Kode 9, Cooly G, Sinden and more. Built around a super-synthetic bassline its title track sqirms and shakes around stinging snares whilst 'Guro Triba' is a little on the more conventional side of House & Funky. Remixes come from True Tigers Sukh Knight, who gives Nasty Nasty Nasty the creeping dubstep treatment, whilst Funky don Roska gives it his unique 'Kicks and Snares' midas touch."

DVA 005EP
"The latest releases from a producer famous for his persistent abuse of 4x4 convention, Scratcha DVA presents
The New World Order EP
on his own DVA Music imprint. Showcasing four tracks from a range of producers, the EP opens with a pair of brand new Scratcha DVA productions. The title track's bomb shelter rave dynamics combine spiraling synths, warm organ stabs and heaving bass tones to apocalyptic effect while its companion, 'Schizophrenic,' lives up to its name, alternating a floor filling 8-bit, 2-tone skank with churning grime synths at their most sour. The flipside offers up Roska ally Uncle Bakongo's brutally stripped down take on Soule Power's 'Lost,' pairing industrial-strength drums with decaying vocal snippets and brooding keys before a last minute change of pace resolves the vocal tension. S.Chu rounds out the EP with a reworking of his 'Quickfoot,' fully equipped with a slow-burn bass line and shimmering synth arpeggios."

DVA 006EP
"The label's sixth release is no exception. Scratcha DVA's remix of Cooly G's 'Dis Boy' turns an already seductive track into a spaced-out dream. In the place of Cooly's stripped down production it's got all the psychedelic electronic subtleties and twists you might expect to hear in a Berlin techno tune, but actually brings her sophisticated vocal melodies more to the fore than the original version. The rhythm's syncopations, meanwhile, move along in lazy leaps as if dancing in lowered gravity. Bok Bok and L-Vis 1990 perform a similar job of total transformation on DVA's own 'Jelly Roll.' They play the original's cheeky, cheery melody backwards, forwards, sideways and upside-down, bouncing it off itself in a hall of audio mirrors and allowing glassy synths to slide between the beats and bass. It's a strange, slightly sinister and intoxicating reworking -- one to get lost in. Bonus track '32Da4' is something else entirely; as you may guess from the title it's in 3-time -- a bizarre, slithering dubstep waltz that flows out of the speakers and around itself in unique style. Lesser producers would build whole movements on such an innovative tune, but for DVA it's just another step in a compelling musical evolution."
