Amazing acts like Smash, Mezquita, Iman, Goma, Gualberto, Triana, Miguel Rios and many others, altogether in this great production. But not only music you find here. There's also a DVD containing an amazing TV Documental entitled Underground, La Ciudad del Arco-Iris, with a long length image history of Andalusian rock and especially the mighty Smash. Spanish language of course, but worth alone for the mega-cool images." DVD is PAL format for Europe.

Label: FONOMUSIC (SPAIN)
Format: CD
Price: $21.00

Fonomusic specializes in reissues of 1970s underground psych/prog from Spain. All reissues are legit, assumably from master tapes, in conjunction with the WEA music group. Foldout digipaks for each CD -- every high quality throughout. "1976. This Spanish female folk-psych duo is probably the top cult group in the Spanish rock scene of the '70s together with Maquina! and Smash. Now we have the chance for their third effort, another fantastic blend of folk, pop and psychedelia with awesome songwriting, the best lyrics of Spanish rock (if you understand Spanish!), some superb guitar work and even some sitar courtesy of Gualberto."

Artist: GUALBERTO
Title: Vericuetos
Label: FONOMUSIC (SPAIN)
Format: CD
Price: $21.00
Catalog #: FONO 70321CD
Digipak reissue. "1976. What could we say about ex-Smash leader Gualberto? If you know him, you already love him. If not, get his records and you'll live an incredible experience; his personal, delicate music could be described as flamenco psychedelic prog, and the skillful use of guitars, sitars and violins will give your life another direction! This is actually his official second solo album, and sure it's one of the most important Spanish rock albums ever."

Artist: RIBA, PAU
Title: Licors
Label: FONOMUSIC (SPAIN)
Format: CD
Price: $21.00
Catalog #: FONO 70328CD
Digipak reissue of what was the 5th album by Pau Riba. "Weird folk-psychedelic, he had the help of Daevid Allen (Gong) for this album. Originally on Movieplay in 1977."

Artist: BORT, EDUARDO
Title: Eduardo Bort
Label: FONOMUSIC (SPAIN)
Format: CD
Price: $21.00
Catalog #: FONO 70333CD
"1975. Gear! Finally available again, you're fronting one of the most impressive Spanish rock albums from the '70s. Astonishing blend of psychedelia, progressive, symphonic, folk, rock and jazz. The production of the album is amazing, and the in- your- face guitars by Eduardo will knock you out. A true masterpiece in his own right."

Artist: GUALBERTO
Title: A la vida, al dolor
Label: FONOMUSIC (SPAIN)
Format: CD
Price: $21.00
Catalog #: FONO 73243CD
"1975. Digipack. Founding member of the legendary Spanish group Smash, Gualberto is no doubt the Spanish psych guitar guru. When he left Smash, he went to the USA for a couple of years, and he came back to Sevilla together with Tod Purcell, who would sing and play 12 string guitar in this, Gualberto's solo debut album in 1975. What you will find here is an outstanding blend of psychedelia with flamenco. Gualberto plays Spanish guitar, flamenco guitar, electric guitar and sitar; there's great violin work by another American, Arthur Wolh, some flute and great, all original songs. This is the real thing, beats any previous Gualberto work by far and is to us one of the best-ever psychedelic albums to come out from Spain."

Artist: VEGA, DANIEL
Title: La noche que precede a la batalla
Label: FONOMUSIC (SPAIN)
Format: LP
Price: $28.00
Catalog #: FONO 77160LP
"This is one of the big surprises that the Spanish progressive scene has yet to give to all worldwide prog fans. Daniel Vega (not to be confused with the other Vega who released the well- known Andaluza album), was an excellent musician from Asturias, in the north of Spain. This is his sole album, and it's an outstanding progressive folk record with Daniel writing and singing all tracks except two instrumentals. Fully remastered sound, original gatefold cover artwork, and 500 copies only."

Artist: RIBA, PAU

Label: FONOMUSIC (SPAIN)
Format: CD
Price: $21.00
Catalog #: FONO 77181CD
"Digipack. 1975. Fourth album by Catalan hippie acid-folk weirdo. Like in Licors, progressive, psychedelic, acid- folk... one of his best albums, and with the help of Eduardo Bort in studio."
