Artist: LOIN BROTHERS
Title: Heavy Helmet (Remix By Mock & Toof)
Label: FUTURE CLASSIC (AUSTRALIA)
Format: 12"
Price: $12.00
Catalog #: FCL 033EP
First installment of Aprés: Sunday Afternoons With Future Classic At The Tilbury. "For the last year and a half, Future Classic has been hosting a laidback Sunday afternoon event at the Tilbury. A BBQ, friendly bar staff and turntables on the balcony in the sunshine have set the scene for these under-the-radar sessions that give our local and international guests (often performing under alias) the chance to play more diverse sets than they would in the club. 'With a little more time to chill and converse than is usually the case in a busy nightclub, the idea was hatched to create a series of Aprés 12-inch releases with contributions from our local and international guests,' says Future Classic's Nathan McLay, who is also resident DJ at the weekly event. 'Having played host to artists such as Brennan Green, Joakim, Mock & Toof, Lovefingers, Aeroplane, Canyons, Jamie Lloyd and Padded Cell to name a few the sound of this series presented itself naturally.' The first installment comes from a duo that has been causing a stir on the Sydney disco circuit of late. Brendan 'Long John Saliva' King and Colin 'DJ Silvio' Prout of Paradise Lost fame collaborate as the Loin Brothers. Their tongue-in-cheek debut 'Heavy Helmet' is a slice of car chase disco glory with fluid funk and epic power-chord guitars. On the flip, London's Mock & Toof (DFA/Tiny Sticks) add their playful flavour, which has worked its magic at the Tilbury on more than a few occasions of late. Being both a music and design team, artwork has always been an integral part of all Future Classic projects, Aprés being no exception. To complement the series, Future Classic commissioned original works by visual artist Gemma Smith, whose geometric abstraction sits perfectly with the cosmic sounds of the records."

Title: Aprés 2
Label: FUTURE CLASSIC (AUSTRALIA)
Format: 12"
Price: $12.00
Catalog #: FCL 035EP
Second installment of Aprés: Sunday Afternoons With Future Classic At The Tilbury. "The second installment of the Aprés vinyl series sees Australian producer Touch Sensitive (also a member of Van She) kicking things off with 'Body Stop,' an Italo-disco stomper that's been at home in the FC catalogue for quite some time. Recently unearthed by London based producer Toby Tobias in a chart of 'hidden gems' it seemed only natural to ask Toby to remix 'Body Stop' and the result sees Toby putting more space in the track, pushing it further onto the dancefloor and keeping it playful all at once. On the flip we take the UK connection a little further with Leeds-based producer Bonar Bradberry floating into cosmic territory with 'Fought & Won' whilst Toby Tobias turns in some glorious tour-bus-disco on 'Azul Blue,' guitars and acid lines sitting comfortably side by side for the ride."

Title: Aprés 3
Label: FUTURE CLASSIC (AUSTRALIA)
Format: 12"
Price: $12.00
Catalog #: FCL 036EP
"The third installment of the Après vinyl series explores the indie disco dimensions of Future Classic's 2 year old Sunday afternoon session in Sydney. When we commissioned Gemma Smith to produce four artworks for the series this angular and intense piece sat well with the spiky Hot Chip-meets-Junior Boys disco punk funk of Melbourne 3 piece Clubfeet. It also worked with Adelaide's Sidwho?, another promising newcomer who's recent 12" on Cage & Aviary's The Walls Have Ears imprint got rave reviews from Horse Meat Disco, Mock & Toof, Tim Sweeney and Optimo to name a few. 'Millionaire' is an early taster of the pop sensibilities of Sid's forthcoming solo album with Future Classic. Sid's also a member of the Modular signed live disco act The Swiss. Chad and Nathan took some time out from the Future Classic HQ to turn in a remix of 'Millionaire' together with good friend Bryan O'Callaghan who also happens to be head chef at the Tilbury where Après is held. Bryan quickly became a firm friend of Future Classic after Mudd and Aeroplane were booked for sets at Après with Bryan seeking us out, immediately impressing us with his unparalleled knowledge of rare disco and groove. Last but definitely not least (since it made the A1) came Pink Frost's remix of 'Evening Star' by another local Sydney band Todd Sparrow. After a heavy vinyl digging session at Redeye Records, the store's vinyl buyer Scott, handed Nathan a CDR and the call was made then and there and we had our third Après release -- an intentionally all Australian installment!"

Artist: BASANOV, MARIO
Title: Aprés 4
Label: FUTURE CLASSIC (AUSTRALIA)
Format: 12"
Price: $12.00
Catalog #: FCL 038EP
"The vinyl version of volume four features music by Lithuania's Mario Basanov and remixes by Arithmatix! Title: Beware Of The Remixes
Label: FUTURE CLASSIC (AUSTRALIA)
Format: 12"
Price: $12.00
Catalog #: FCL 041EP
Jamie Lloyd's sophomore album gets remixed by some newcomers and older legends. Tuff City Kids are Gerd Janson from Running Back and Phillip Lauer from Arto Mwambe and Brontosaurus. As expected, these two come up with something unexpected, think Bobby Orlando. Matthew Herbert gets his wobble on, with a nice dose of techno euphoria in the mix while the flip side is more restrained with Mark E perfecting his slo-mo house and Alex "Jazzanova" Barck and Christian Prommer presenting a fat, tasteful slice of "sophisticated disco."

Artist: SIDWHO
Title: Pay For Love
Label: FUTURE CLASSIC (AUSTRALIA)
Format: 12"
Price: $12.00
Catalog #: FCL 043EP
Last year's Vote Bowie For President by Sidwho freaked out Todd Terje, Tim Sweeney invited him to do Beats In Space while Prins Thomas named it his favorite track of the year. In between recording and touring with The Swiss and Empire Of The Sun, Sid is back with another low-slung disco weapon, remixed by Jamie Paton and Azari & III.

Artist: LOIN BROTHERS
Title: Garden Of Vargulf
Label: FUTURE CLASSIC (AUSTRALIA)
Format: 12"
Price: $12.00
Catalog #: FCL 044EP
The Loin Brothers are Long John Saliva and DJ Silvio, two dashing farmers raised on strobe lighting, fuzz guitars and pork spare ribs. "Garden Of Vargulf" takes off with a thumping bass guitar, orchestral string leads, a desert wolf howl and a REAL guitar solo. The "Acid Re-Rub" stretches out into Burning Man territory with a squelched-out 303 and grand pianos. Tornado Wallace (aka Lewi Day) brings out his signature filtered funk and compressed drums. Another remix by Woolfy vs. Projections.

Artist: WORST FRIENDS
Title: Neeves For None
Label: FUTURE CLASSIC (AUSTRALIA)
Format: 12"
Price: $12.00
Catalog #: FCL 045EP
Worst Friends brings the Balearic and conquers summer in the north of the world. Future Classic is from Australia, though, and heading into winter, it's almost less than 15 degrees Celsius. For real. This neat little EP is built to relieve the stress, and with Eddie C of Jisco fame on the remix, it also brings a lot of party at the 7:15 mark.

Artist: BASANOV, MARIO
Title: Do You Remember
Label: FUTURE CLASSIC (AUSTRALIA)
Format: 12"
Price: $12.00
Catalog #: FCL 046EP
Two new mixes of this Balearic beauty from Mario Basanov. The Revenge's "Drama Mix" is perfect for that big sound system to warm up the crowd and get a few hands going. Then, together with Craig Smith as 6th Borough Project, they take their stripped-back slo-mo house sound and give it a bit more soul. Lots of whirling synths and friendly keys, perfect for your summer sunset playing to a house party or a few thousand festival-goers.

Artist: MILLION, LUKE
Title: Italo Journey/Octobussy
Label: FUTURE CLASSIC (AUSTRALIA)
Format: 12"
Price: $12.00
Catalog #: FCL 047EP
Luke Million is the hectic keys player and synth wizard in The Swiss. He often starts his morning by bench-pressing his Yamaha CP-70 and drinking 3 or 4 shakes of reel-to-reel tape. Part I of your journey starts with stomping kicks, spaced-out toms and cosmic stabs of Italo passion. Part II sticks you in your Ferrari, just living life at 120 BPM with nothing but chunky slap-bass and keys. Featuring mixes by Mighty Mouse, Spiral, Oxygene and Brennan Green.

Artist: SIDWHO
Title: I Do The Night
Label: FUTURE CLASSIC (AUSTRALIA)
Format: 12"
Price: $12.00
Catalog #: FCL 049EP
Now a full-time member of Australian super-group Empire Of The Sun and 1/3 of the genius of The Swiss, who knows how Sidwho found the time to make this heated, late-night gem. All we do know is that Arthur Russell was integral in his life when he turned it out. This 8+ minute burner features echoed moans and whispers, chunky bass lines, and meticulous percussion. Session Victim is Matthias Reiling and Hauke Freer, and their dub version is deep and minimal.

Artist: MITZI
Title: All I Heard EP
Label: FUTURE CLASSIC (AUSTRALIA)
Format: 12"
Price: $12.00
Catalog #: FCL 050EP
Mitzi are a 4-piece of awesomeness comprised of Dominique Bird, Jad Lee, Charlie Murdoch and Cale Suesskow. The three tunes on All I Heard fuse the sounds of garage disco, NYC indie and light-hearted Australian pop. Jono Ma mixed the record at Ewan Pearson's studio in Berlin and made all those trumpets, snares, keys, whispers and vocals sound ridiculously tight. Future Classic's history has always been rooted in bands and they're pretty stoked to be getting back into it.

Artist: POOLSIDE
Title: Do You Believe?
Label: FUTURE CLASSIC (AUSTRALIA)
Format: 12"
Price: $12.00
Catalog #: FCL 053EP
This is the debut from L.A. production duo Poolside with their tune "Do You Believe?" Big piano keys, whispered vocals, a light drizzling of 303 acid served at 105 bpm over a thick summer disco groove, with remixes by Jacques Renault featuring Tiffany Roth from Midnight Magic, James Curd and Cosmic Kids. It was debuted by Aeroplane in their January 2011 mix for BBC Radio 1 and amassed over 10,000 YouTube plays for the video clip in just a week!

Label: FUTURE CLASSIC (AUSTRALIA)
Format: 12"
Price: $12.00
Catalog #: FCL 057EP
Jeremy Glenn's sun-drenched, twilight euphoria is perfect for driving home from the beach or partying seaside through the evening. He has shared the decks with James Murphy, Tensnake and Andy Butler and performed live alongside Dam-Funk, Aeroplane and Alexander Robotnick. Remix by Alex Barck.

Artist: CONVAIRE
Title: The New You
Label: FUTURE CLASSIC (AUSTRALIA)
Format: 7"/CD
Price: $12.00
Catalog #: FCL 062EP
Sydney's indie-electronic-popettes, Convaire present their highly-anticipated debut EP, The New You. Equal measures quiet childhood nostalgia and barefooted summer festival romance, The New You is a sparkling indication of what Convaire do so exceptionally well -- the art of creating synth-happy, '80s-inspired, sweet pop songs. Inspired by the likes of Talking Heads, Friendly Fires and Phoenix, this EP is exciting enough to warrant a shoe shuffle and a couple of hand claps. Includes a 5 song CD inside.

Artist: NEW NAVY
Title: Uluwatu
Label: FUTURE CLASSIC (AUSTRALIA)
Format: 10"
Price: $12.00
Catalog #: FCL 064EP
From the "whistle while you work" opening of "Zimbabwe," the summer grooves of "Tapioca" to the dramatic crescendo of "Oceans," New Navy's debut EP demonstrates the Australian band's powerful songwriting ability and consistent style. New Navy balance sparkly guitars with front man Ben McInerny's smooth vocals, delivering strong bass lines and breezy indie grooves to great effect. They have received impressive early support from radio and media with comparisons to Foals, The Whitest Boy Alive and Cold War Kids.

Artist: DEEPCHILD
Title: Blackness of the Sea
Label: FUTURE CLASSIC (AUSTRALIA)
Format: 12"
Price: $10.00
Catalog #: FCL 1203EP
Featuring a very desirable Luomo remix. "Australian producer Deepchild epitomises the concept of a 'future classic' with 'Blackness of the Sea,' a dancefloor burner with a conscience. The track oozes soul with stunning vocals that speak of the power of music in these troubled times, set atop a tough, tasty warm house groove. Lifetime is another winner, minimal and more chilled with a killer bassline and great production, cementing Deepchild's reputation as a unique talent to watch. On the flip Finnish producer Luomo remixes 'Blackness of the Sea' one handed with seven titanium pins and screws in his left shoulder after a recent car accident, resulting in an emotive deep house masterpiece full of movement and reminiscent of his early work on Vocalcity. It's rare that the reality of the world finds its way into dance music, more so when the results are as compelling as this."

Artist: LLOYD, JAMIE
Title: Adori's Kitchen
Label: FUTURE CLASSIC (AUSTRALIA)
Format: 12"
Price: $10.00
Catalog #: FCL 1204EP
"Australian secret-weapon Jamie Lloyd delivers a dancefloor winner for his first 12" on Future Classic, instantly establishing himself as another name to watch in rapidly heating Aussie scene! The title track is an epic electro disco burner, blossoming with cool sounds, rolling basslines and freaky riffs. The track immediately appealed to our Finnish friends Putsch 79 who lay on the funk in their remix, complete with their trademark cheeky synth stabs, a killer bassline and clever key changes. Perhaps saving the best to last is the 45rpm flip 'Night Panda,' a straighter workout that transforms into a rolling electro house killer while retaining an originality of style and sound selection that gives its own distinctive Jamie Lloyd flavour."

Artist: LLOYD, JAMIE
Title: Movin' In
Label: FUTURE CLASSIC (AUSTRALIA)
Format: 12"
Price: $10.00
Catalog #: FCL 1207EP
"Jamie Lloyd follows up his last 12", Adori's Kitchen, with an EP of low-slung disco grooves, vocal cutups and great songwriting showing another side of this talented Australian artist. New York's Brennan Green opens proceedings with his 'Movin' Out' remix, a tasty 8 minute slab of disco space funk with slippery squelching lead synth runs and cheeky breakdowns throughout. Jamie's original continues in the 107bpm disco electric vibe with nice sounds and a cool sense of space. 'Flip for Zooptron,' a quirky, chopped up party tune in the spirit of Jamie Lidell and 'All The Honey,' a spaced out minimal disco gem in a Metro Area or Kelley Polar vibe."

Artist: POLAR, JIMI
Title: Monster Park (Robert Babicz Remix)
Label: FUTURE CLASSIC (AUSTRALIA)
Format: 12"
Price: $10.00
Catalog #: FCL 1209EP
"Jimi Polar is the newest addition to the Future Classic family, making sublime minimal music with a vivid Australian aesthetic and undeniable floor appeal. No stranger to the studio, he has worked with producers such as Trentemøller and Hipp-e, and now releases his debut solo 12" Monster Park, an atmospheric club rocker with a bahnstorming remix by Robert Babicz aka Rob Acid. Fans of Buttrich, Âme, Claude Von Stroke, Alex Smoke, etc. should find this effective!!"

Artist: STICK FIGURES
Title: Slim Pickings (Ben Mono Remixes)
Label: FUTURE CLASSIC (AUSTRALIA)
Format: 12"
Price: $10.00
Catalog #: FCL 1218EP
"Compost Records bit-crusher Ben Mono delivers 2 full side remixes of heavy melodic house that will appeal to fans of Innervisions, Get Physical, et al. Perhaps reminiscent of Joakim's monster remix of 'Camina Del Sol,' mix #1 is pure peak time, with active hats, sweeping synths and an ever moving pattern that ebbs and flows, messes with timing, then tears into the sound system with a barrage of Detroit-flavored saws and delays. Mix #2 eases off with a cleaner, more restrained approach perfect for warm ups. The original is featured on the Stick Figure's debut album Low Self Esteem."
