Artist: DJ T.
Title: Philly
Label: GET PHYSICAL MUSIC (GERMANY)
Format: 12"
Price: $10.00
Catalog #: GPM 005EP
Get Physical catalog additions; this one from 2003, with remix by DJ Naughty. "Old school flavour meets the sounds and beats of today, paying homage to the rudimentary tracks of the early disco era and the unforgettable Sound of Philadelphia. Reverbed string lines, sweet atmospheres and spectacular dub effects fly over a forcing and omnipresent groove, keeping the track´s flow over its epic length of 8 1/2 minutes. Like the previous release, 'Philly' was produced together with GPM producer Booka Shade. On B1 you find DJ Naughty's interpretation, starting off with a sweaty beat, later breaking into an atmosphere that is close to the original, yet spicing it up with a good portion of 'Naughty Funk'. B2 gives you the Dub Mix...no chords...no melodies...just pure groove."

Artist: M.A.N.D.Y. & THE SUNSETPEOPLE
Title: Our World (Our Music)
Label: GET PHYSICAL MUSIC (GERMANY)
Format: 12"
Price: $10.00
Catalog #: GPM 007EP
Originally released June, 2003. "The collaboration between Patrick Bodmer and Philipp Jung aka M.A.N.D.Y and Patrik Dechent aka The Sunsetpeople. With the help of producer Booka Shade, the project M.A.N.D.Y. & The Sunsetpeople combine the complex beat and groove texture created by Bodmer/Jung & the soul of Dechent, who since childhood has bonded deeply with the party island Ibiza. Dechent's reduced electroid flow up injects such a massive amount of summer atmosphere into the bloodstream that one is tempted to ask Scotty to press the 'beam me up' button as quickly as possible, hoping one will end up on a beach with barely dressed soulmates, sharing the experience of feeling the beat stream through the warm sand into one's body."

Artist: DJ T.
Title: Freemind
Label: GET PHYSICAL MUSIC (GERMANY)
Format: 12"
Price: $10.00
Catalog #: GPM 008EP
Originally released July 2003. "GPM 008 is the third production by DJ T. and his production partner Booka Shade for the label. Anyone who has heard 'Starlit' (GPM 003) and 'Philly' (GPM 005) can easily recognize their atmospheric electronica and trademark basslines. The A-side 'Freemind' touches all the bases of their first releases and reaches even higher. All you need is this nine minute summer EPs to get your 'open air' groove on. The B-side 'Bite' is another good example of reshaping the soundscape of the 80's. 'Bite' teases as did 'Electrofied' (GPM 003) with Electro-Funk, yet takes it to a new pulsating level."

Artist: JONES, CHELONIS R.
Title: I Don't Know?
Label: GET PHYSICAL MUSIC (GERMANY)
Format: 12"
Price: $10.00
Catalog #: GPM 009EP
Originally released 11/26/2003, 2nd release on GPM for Jones. "Like the first release (GPM 004 'One & One'/'Blackout!'), the follow-up: 'I Don't Know?' / 'The Rush' follows the dramatic switch from A-side to B-side (A-side: poppier, B-side: freakier). The melodramatic flush of 'I Don't Know?' kicks directly in the crotch of the typical club-lyric tracks that we are all too willing to ignore; this track calls for our undivided attention...at the same time, our feet never misses a beat! 'The Rush' is the A-side's sinister sibling; the one we are all terrified of, but we're glued to every detail with psychopathic fascination...The 'Sex with the machines mix' is just that, while the 'Raw dub mix' nearly numbs the listener / dancer with its bare understatement."

Artist: M.A.N.D.Y.
Title: Achaat
Label: GET PHYSICAL MUSIC (GERMANY)
Format: 12"
Price: $10.00
Catalog #: GPM 010EP
Originally released in 2004. "With their 3rd release on the Physical label, M.A.N.D.Y. (Patrick Bodmer and Philipp Jung) and Booka Shade demonstrate how to combine sound experimentation with club functionality. The end-results compare to a modern-day space expedition soundtrack. '70s electro-school vs. airy synth pop coat the A-side 'Achaat,' leaving the room swollen with its piously spikey groove. The B-side 'Words Don't Come Easy' is clearly more understated, reminding one of an early Sunday morning in Berlin."

Artist: BOOKA SHADE
Title: Stupid Questions
Label: GET PHYSICAL MUSIC (GERMANY)
Format: 12"
Price: $10.00
Catalog #: GPM 012EP
Originally released in 2003/March 2004. "Since the mid '90s, Booka Shade graced clubland's ears (and feet) with tracks such as 'Kind of Good' and 'Silk' (on Holland's fine Touché label). With the A-side of 'Stupid Questions,' a rocky funkbass leads the cue to the groove. The nearly irrational atmosphere and vocal slabs adds to the frenzy. The B-side 'Up' is ample with vocal cut-ups/knicks and tweeks and pecks...along with a blatant machine-beat that jumbles up a complex journey... corners/cliffs and fangs included... oh, and let us not forget to mention...PHEROMONE (ahh!)."

Artist: DJ T.
Title: Get Lost/Phantomas
Label: GET PHYSICAL MUSIC (GERMANY)
Format: 12"
Price: $10.00
Catalog #: GPM 013EP
Originally released in July, 2004. "With DJ T's first three releases on Get Physical, Starlit/Electrofied, Philly and Freemind/Bite, the elements are woven through many directions from club music's lengthy past (electro, disco, hi N-R-G, Italo-house), and re-emerge on this follow-up, with the help of long-time production partner, Booka Shade. The A-side 'Get Lost' begins with the trademark bass line, reminding one of the themes/pages culled from the 1988 acid house movement, then surprisingly creeps into a hypnotic break -- led by a dominant acoustic bass and vocoder-hookline. The B-side 'Phantomas' fights in contrast to the previous, with a nearly seven-minute real-sound drums / punk attitude / disco sequence to unhinge even the firmest clubfloor panels."

Artist: LOPAZZ
Title: Take Me Home
Label: GET PHYSICAL MUSIC (GERMANY)
Format: 12"
Price: $10.00
Catalog #: GPM 014EP
Originally released in April 2004. "Lopazz's sound has a very high recognition factor -- and it's his production values which make him stand out from the infinite number of fellow dancefloor producers. Similar in approach to Matthew Herbert, who came up with the PCCO manifesto, his very own idiosyncratic production framework, Eichinger creates tracks that are 100% analogue and based on natural, non-computer generated sounds. Lopazz carved his very own aesthetic niche a long time ago, as can be heard on his first ever release for Berlin-based label Get Physical -- both the Barry White-esque 'Take Me Home' and 'Migracion' (featuring vocals by Alex Cortez and Mariella Landivar-Garcia) are fresh, emotional and tongue-in-cheek enough to bring tears to our eyes."

Artist: VOLTIQUE
Title: Whoop
Label: GET PHYSICAL MUSIC (GERMANY)
Format: 12"
Price: $10.00
Catalog #: GPM 015EP
Originally released on 26.05.2004. The wonderfully atmospheric and discretely clicky and cranky eye-rolling tune "Whoop" claims the A1 position while "Alternative Dance From Hell" on B1 gets straight to the point, treading the tightrope between ethereal and rocky elements -- glittering chord cascades rise to high heavens over a Moroder-esque bassline. B2 is not the usual stopgap, but features yet another gem: the spoken word "Be Loud" is sparingly arranged yet shuffles along with an irresistibly poppy twist, urging us to march along and follow the imperative indefinitely.

Artist: SUNSETPEOPLE
Title: Mifune
Label: GET PHYSICAL MUSIC (GERMANY)
Format: 12"
Price: $10.00
Catalog #: GPM 016EP
Originally released in June, 2004. "After two collaborations with M.A.N.D.Y., GPM 016 features the first independent project by Patrick Dechent aka Sunsetpeople. While 'Mifune' continues Sunsetpeople's characteristic mix of dub and deepness, it is also more demanding and ecstatic. Patrik's production partner Booka Shade adds crisp, electronic elements, distinct chords and dominant vocoder vocals which make this techno/house hybrid work in both camps, energetically bridging the gap between prime time and after hour. For the B-side, Martin Landsky, German keeper of the old school Chicago house Grail, contributes a mix based on snippets of the original's essential elements -- its clear-cut killer groove nails the crowd to the floor without losing the gist of the original's dubby character. Jack your body!"

Artist: DJ T.
Title: Time Out
Label: GET PHYSICAL MUSIC (GERMANY)
Format: 12"
Price: $10.00
Catalog #: GPM 017EP
Originally released in July, 2004. "DJ T.'s fifth release on Get Physical features three completely different versions of one track. 'Time Out' in its original form is an easy-going homage to the summer-time euphoric aesthetic of early Italo tracks. Shifting light-hearted synth-pop sequences and an acid-line loop on top of a driving, percussive groove. Through a dominant and perpetually uncertain staccato bass line, the robust 'Acid Dub' (on side B) does away with this mood and creates a self-determined, shuddering groove. Carl A. Finlow, aka Random Factor's unmistakable signature style, creates a version in which a rolling wave of sound leaves glittering sound cascades in its wake without forgetting the dancefloor. It is the ideal soundtrack for an open-air after-sunrise."

Artist: BOOKA SHADE
Title: Vertigo/Memento
Label: GET PHYSICAL MUSIC (GERMANY)
Format: 12"
Price: $10.00
Catalog #: GPM 019EP
Originally released in August, 2004. "Their work is similar to that of pilots. Consistently gain altitude, stay on course and by no means, allow a drop in pressure to occur. Like a seat in first class, their sound is refined and sophisticated and has enough sex appeal to angle several stewardesses. Vertigo/Memento is a small taste of the album that, from this sampling, will be a good companion for several trips around the globe. 'Vertigo' has enough energy to power several Jumbo take-offs -- while 'Memento' rests on its wings to glide through space. Both are in all respects classic dance numbers with strong '80s funk references, high intercontinental relevance and are enveloped with a sovereign ambience of technical know-how."

Artist: ZOO BRAZIL
Title: Walk Right Back
Label: GET PHYSICAL MUSIC (GERMANY)
Format: 12"
Price: $10.00
Catalog #: GPM 021EP
Originally released in October, 2004. "John Andersson and Johan Emmoth are the creative force behind Zoo Brazil. Also recording as Laid, Cuba Computers, Nars and Outcold, they have steadily carved out a reputation as a highly innovative and respected production and DJ team. The pair are prolific producers and DJs, having worked with some of the world's best known artists -- for example Human League. Here, Zoo Brazil show their ability to deliver infectious electronic grooves. All three tracks are aimed squarely at the dancefloor, with stripped back 4/4 beats driving through acid squelches, raw synth stabs and minimal percussion. The lead track, 'Walk Right Back' is already creating a stir on floors in London and Berlin, with more set to follow."

Artist: BOOKA SHADE
Title: Memento Album Remixes
Label: GET PHYSICAL MUSIC (GERMANY)
Format: 12"
Price: $10.00
Catalog #: GPM 022EP
Originally released in Jan, 2005; remixes by Ada and Chloe. "The first of two album remix edition 12"s. Ada is a German singer and producer, who recently released her debut album Blondie. For the remix, Ada takes elements of Vertigo and Cha! She embraces the quirky melodies of Booka Shade adding, with her trademark restraint, gently pounding bass rhythms and enticing snares. Parisian Chloé is a DJ, musician and producer who refined her sound to an eclectic mixture of German minimalism and dirty electro with residencies at some of the city's most influential nights. Here Chloé strips 'Memento' back to a bare minimal groove of interwoven bass sounds. Rasping textures and snatches of vocal add warmth to the all-important space between the bass. Completing the package is the extended mix of 'Cha!' -- Booka Shade's perfectly weighted intricate rhythms wrap around deep textures and vocal snippets to create an unusual but hypnotic dancefloor cut."

Artist: M.A.N.D.Y.
Title: Jah
Label: GET PHYSICAL MUSIC (GERMANY)
Format: 12"
Price: $10.00
Catalog #: GPM 024EP
Originally released in March, 2005. "M.A.N.D.Y.s 6th release on Get Physical demonstrates a subtle shift in direction with a sound that's more stripped back. 'Jah' bursts with a fresh vitality, unlike previous M.A.N.D.Y. releases it sounds rough and raw, allowing the impulsive energy of its rapid creation to shine through. Pattering drums and deep sub bass are overlaid with snares but it's the introduction of playfully rising melodies that add warmth to the edginess and complete the magic. On the b-side, 'Pray' features delicate bouncing rhythms and lively percussion. The deep groove is complimented by mellow chords and vocal snatches, a slow builder that ripens into a pool of bass, melody and intoxicating atmospheres."

Artist: BOOKA SHADE
Title: Memento Album Remixes 2
Label: GET PHYSICAL MUSIC (GERMANY)
Format: 12"
Price: $10.00
Catalog #: GPM 025EP
Originally released in March, 2005. "The second of the remix editions for Booka Shade's debut album Memento features one exclusive new track and a remix by Marco Passarani. All tracks are firmly destined for club use and bound to excite more discerning dancefloors, with their mixture of deep atmospherics and intricate percussion. Booka Shade's remix of 'S.T.A.R.R.Z.' has a bouncing low electro bassline and understated broken beats. The deep sub bass burbles and builds through sprinklings of snare and purring melodies that bristle with FX. For the Analogue Fingerprint remix, 'Friend For A Night' is enticed onto the peaktime dancefloor with an infectious groove that rolls throughout. The sparkling melodies of the original intertwine with low analogue bass and intricate rhythm play. Marco Passarani is a native of Rome, who's been engaged in electronic music since the early '90s. On the B-side, 'Panoramic' is aimed squarely at the feet and the hips. A firm sub bass is cut with a bouncing groove skipping across a bed of snares. As it builds, the groove opens out with layer upon layer of deeper bass, peppered computer noise and shimmering electronic percussion."

Artist: RITON VS. HOWDI
Title: Closer/Walk on Water
Label: GET PHYSICAL MUSIC (GERMANY)
Format: 12"
Price: $10.00
Catalog #: GPM 026EP
Originally released March, 2005. "'Closer' is a collaboration between Riton and Howdi and sets itself apart from Riton's other works, steeped in pathos and with a dreamy and romantic edge. An eerie build-up leads to a dialogue between two lovers. 'Walk on Water' on the other hand mines the seam of classic acid house with its kicking bass drum, 303 bass-line and staccato claps reminiscent of the glory days of Trax. Satanic voices bemoan the fruitless search for water in a sandy landscape and sing the immortal line 'I don't want to fuck your daughter, just because I'm in a band.' Riton's impeccable sense of humour shines through and will bring a smile to the faces of legions of peak hour club-goers."

Artist: M.A.N.D.Y. VS BOOKA SHADE
Title: Body Language
Label: GET PHYSICAL MUSIC (GERMANY)
Format: 12"
Price: $10.00
Catalog #: GPM 027EP
Originally released Aprik, 2005. "Here M.A.N.D.Y. and Booka Shade go head to head in the studio. 'Body Language' builds with a warm bouncing bassline wrapped in snares and gentle percussive textures. Highly infectious melodies lie on a bed of shimmering atmospheres combining with a driving click beat and deep subbass to complete this balmy uptempo dancefloor cut. Afrilounge is a German collective of DJs and producers creating pure house and electronic music, from minimal techno to electrobeats. Afrilounge offer a low slung, stripped back remix of 'Body Language.' Sparkling sound and shreds of melody are wound around a metronomic click bass. Breaking down with rasping textures and a more forceful bass, this is a spacey rework that gives a dark and sexy edge to the original parts."

Artist: DJ T.
Title: Rising
Label: GET PHYSICAL MUSIC (GERMANY)
Format: 12"
Price: $10.00
Catalog #: GPM 028EP
Originally released April, 2005. "DJ T.'s first single taken from his debut album Boogie Playground. Here DJ T.'s heartfelt influences of electro, disco, Italo, acid, Detroit and Chicago house are displayed but given a new shape. 'Rising' is low slung but high energy house. Starting deep and moody, it gradually builds with layer upon layer of cut up vocal stabs and sub bass, licked with snares, into a dense and hypnotizing dancefloor groove. Completely addictive, this is happily T.'s favourite track from the album. On the flip, 'Galaga' is more obviously a techno cut created for the feet, engaging with acid bleeps and forceful beats. Named after one of T.'s favourite childhood arcade games, it conjures images of fighting spaceships and furious movement. Get your freak on."

Artist: BOOKA SHADE
Title: Mandarine EP
Label: GET PHYSICAL MUSIC (GERMANY)
Format: 12"
Price: $10.00
Catalog #: GPM 029EP
Originally released June, 2005. "Here, Booka Shade moves closer than ever to the peaktime dancefloor with a track that's a highlight of their live show. 'Mandarine Girl' was inspired by a special night they shared in 1993, at Sven Vath's legendary techno club, The Omen. Engaging chords, electronic bleeps and snares set a mood of anticipation, gradually building excitement with trademark percussive textures and soaring melody. Driving bass and warm FX gather strength around the sultry lead melody as 'Mandarine Girl' reaches its peak with sexy synths and ensnaring electro beats. On the flip, 'Triple Identity' sees a favourite track from the album breathed with new life. Low slung bass and bristling electronic percussion combine with lush tones and distinctive analogue bassline for a cut that's darker and sexier for the floor. Finally, 'Point Break' is the second of the tracks written specially for their live show. A bed of rising atmospheres and clicking percussion opens out with the simple vocal and infectious bouncy melody at its heart."

Artist: JONES, CHELONIS R.
Title: Le Bateau Ivre
Label: GET PHYSICAL MUSIC (GERMANY)
Format: 12"
Price: $10.00
Catalog #: GPM 030EP
Originally released July, 2005. "The first single taken from his debut album Dislocated Genius. 'Le Bateau Ivre' is the closing track from the album, and was inspired in part by Arthur Rimbaud's poem 'The Drunken Ship' -- a seafaring tale of an alluring but nefarious existence, as this writer reads it. Rumbling sub bass, grumbling soundbeds, sci-fi clicks and spacey synths underpin Chelonis' pop-catchy haunting vocal. 'Middle Finger Music' comes on strong with psychotic noise before pulling back to a controlled beat bristling with glitches and evolving into a strong rumbling bassline. Strange but infectiously danceable, bassline mixing with snatches of vocal before kicking off with the uplifting melody and words that are distinctively Chelonis. The Fairy kicks 'Le Bateau Ivre' firmly onto the primetime dancefloor. The rework embraces Chelonis' sugar sweet pop vocals adding strong sub bass and electro flavour." Remixes by The Fairy project (Tiga & Jesper Dahlbäck) and Samin & Michal (Tuning Spork).

Artist: DJ T.
Title: A Guy Called Jack Album Remixes 1
Label: GET PHYSICAL MUSIC (GERMANY)
Format: 12"
Price: $10.00
Catalog #: GPM 031EP
Originally released Oct., 2005. With remixes from Joakim and Samim & Michal. "The second single from DJ T.'s passion-drenched debut album features exciting remixes from the fast emerging talents of Joakim and Samim & Michal. Following on from the addictive cut 'Rising,' T. continues with his modern reinterpretation of his retro house, techno and disco influences. On the A-side, 'A Guy Called Jack' is an homage to old Trax records and classic Chicago house. The Joakim remix of 'A Guy Called Jack' experiments with the original aesthetic T. aimed for, reinterpreting it in a more laidback manner. Swiss producers Samim & Michal, hail from Jay Haze's Tuning Spork stable -- heir self-declared aim is to put the bling into minimal electro house. For their remix of 'A Guy Called Jack' they create the kind of deep groove that you want to absorb endlessly."

Artist: WILLIAMS
Title: Piccadilly Circuits
Label: GET PHYSICAL MUSIC (GERMANY)
Format: 12"
Price: $10.00
Catalog #: GPM 032EP
Originally released July, 2005. "'Picadilly Circuits' was made in an afternoon at Williams' London flat and featured on M.A.N.D.Y.'s Body Language compilation. A perky, bouncing acid-bassline drives through soaring electronics and computer fuzz. Evil sounding stabs jar with the smooth electro feel and add another dimension at the breakdown that sends this into dancefloor orbit. On the B-side, 'The Arrival' is a deeper cut that builds gradually with many layers of spacey FX and bass. Finally, 'The Arrival (Departure)' is an even deeper tribal feeling rework. It opens with huffing stabs and moody sub bass, the broken bassline working up to the breakdown with layers of soaring atmospheres and the original infectious melody."

Artist: DJ T.
Title: Funk On You Remixes
Label: GET PHYSICAL MUSIC (GERMANY)
Format: 12"
Price: $10.00
Catalog #: GPM 033EP
Originally released Sept, 2005. With remixes from Manhead and Putsch 79. "On the original of 'Funk On You' DJ T. swirls electro funk, disco and Italo fragments into an organic-sounding whole complete with breathy stabs and handclaps. With vocals inspired by Tom Tom Club, he creates a tongue-in-cheek party vibe. The two remixers DJ T. has chosen have a finger on the modern disco pulse, as was his original intention with 'Funk On You.' Robbie Insinna takes two guises; Headman for the more nu wave, rock-influenced productions and Manhead for the more disco, Italo-inspired, electro sounds. His Manhead's 'Robi's Rave' remix sounds like in the middle between these two alter egos, it features low sub bass and clicking hi-hats from the off combing with thumping drums and all the original vocal parts. Flipping over, Putsch 79 also takes things more forward than we might commonly expect with a percussive heavy remix. Grooving disco beats and looped melody meet slapping percussion and beguiling space sounds, to entice us out for dancefloor mayhem."

Artist: BARFOD, TOMAS
Title: Neon Strobe
Label: GET PHYSICAL MUSIC (GERMANY)
Format: 12"
Price: $10.00
Catalog #: GPM 034EP
Originally released Oct., 2005. "Danish producer Tomas Barford returns with his second single on Get Physical. On 'Neon Strobe' hissing snares, acid funk and growling bassline combine with pulsing synth for a dirty peaktime cut. Driving percussion punctuated with maracas lend a distinctive edge to the popular electro trance sound. 'Mind The Others' opens with tapping percussion and rolling drum breaks gradually building strength with the analogue bassline and electronic melody. Clipped synth stabs and pattering percussion ensure there's plenty of funk in the groove. On the flip, 'For Your Eyes' kicks off with thumping drum rhythm and tingling snares. inally, on 'Trancer' clicks and snares create an off kilter rhythm that builds with a growling bassline, orbiting sound textures and whirring synths punctuated by delicate chimes."

Artist: SUNSETPEOPLE
Title: Orion
Label: GET PHYSICAL MUSIC (GERMANY)
Format: 12"
Price: $10.00
Catalog #: GPM 035EP
Originally released in 2005. Sunsetpeople aka Patrik Dechent is back with the follow up to last year's excellent Mifune. Working in the studio with Get Physical's Booka Shade as his production partner, the package is a characteristic mix of Sunsetpeople's dub deepness in a 4/4 setting. "Orion" features delicate percussion, burbling electronics and spacey atmospheres driven by a deep sub bass. On the flipside, the low slung groove of "Salty Dog" may be recognizable from the recent M.A.N.D.Y. Body Language compilation. The simple bassline groove builds gradually through canine atmospherics with acid squelches and sparkling textures.

Artist: ELEKTROCHEMIE
Title: Pleasure Seeker
Label: GET PHYSICAL MUSIC (GERMANY)
Format: 12"
Price: $10.00
Catalog #: GPM 037EP
Originally released Nov., 2005. "Elektrochemie is the collaboration of producer and DJ Thomas Schumacher, producer Stephan Bodzin and vocalist Caitlin Devlin. Elektrochemie is a vocal club project, ripe with feeling that grips the club dancefloor as much as live audiences. 'Pleasure Seeker' is a sensual track that immediately connects with the listener with the strong sultry vocals and dramatic production. Opening with throbbing Moog bass that hooks you straight in, the heavily FX'd vocals weave like an instrument across growling bass textures that gather power as they're filtered and dropped around the lyrical arrangement. On the B-side, 'Star Struck' comes on strong with a deep, LFO modulated bassline, punchy 4/4 drums, and arousing glitches and clicks."

Artist: DJ T.
Title: Ambush
Label: GET PHYSICAL MUSIC (GERMANY)
Format: 12"
Price: $10.00
Catalog #: GPM 038EP
On "Ambush," DJ T. updates the disco groove with his darker modern edge. Here it's all about the low end, as layers of ominous, undulating sub bass throb away underneath snappy percolating rhythms. As it builds, heavy bass and shards of edgy synth are interchanged and arranged into a playful bleepy groove. "Stalker" sees T. moving back into old skool house territory for a thoroughly modern assault on the dancefloor. A driving kick and hi-hats are backed up with signature DJ T. finger snaps over tingling atmospheres. The warm, hypnotic bassline keeps you locked in growling FX, moody pads and a trippy xylophone build to a bubbling crescendo.

Artist: JONES, CHELONIS R.
Title: Deer In the Headlights
Label: GET PHYSICAL MUSIC (GERMANY)
Format: 12"
Price: $10.00
Catalog #: GPM 039EP
With remixes by DJ Hell & Radioslave. Taken from Chelonis R. Jones's debut album, Dislocated Genius, "Deer In The Headlights" is further proof that the American producer in Germany is one of electronic dance music's most talented mavericks. Opening with a repetitive metallic groove, tight claps and a dank, robotic bassline, the track moves to a tripped-out chord progression that juxtaposes modern Italo's darkest excesses and the positivity of '90s trance with the sound of crashing waves. The dub remix stretches out the basic components to create a more DJ-friendly version, while Gigolo boss DJ Hell returns his finest remix in years. Finally, Radioslave, aka Matt Edwards remixes, following a more techno direction, combining hypnotic, textured builds with a gritty, tracky backing and a wide-eyed sensibility that'll appeal to fans of techno's deep, dubby side.

Artist: JONA
Title: The Learnings EP
Label: GET PHYSICAL MUSIC (GERMANY)
Format: 12"
Price: $10.00
Catalog #: GPM 040EP
This is the debut release by Belgian producer Jonathan Troupin, who will be a name to watch in 2006. The title track sets out a brave new order for electronic dance music, as Jona combines the gritty, dubby beats and glitchy percussion of Berlin's finest with a house swagger alien to most minimal music. He then proceeds to add in a soaring trance riff that subtly builds over the scuffled backing. "Learning From The Mistakes" is a future classic in waiting. On the flip, Jona takes more chances with "Full Pool," laying down an insidiously infectious blues rock guitar riff over squelchy beats and a bleepy electronic bassline. Equal parts classic rock and futuristic German studio engineering, The Learnings dares to go where no others have ventured.

Artist: BOOKA SHADE
Title: Night Falls EP
Label: GET PHYSICAL MUSIC (GERMANY)
Format: 12"
Price: $10.00
Catalog #: GPM 041EP
While Booka Shade's biggest release of 2005, Mandarine Girl, basked in the euphoric afterglow of early '90s techno-trance, their latest 12" is a somewhat darker, more nocturnal affair. The taster single for Booka Shade's second album Movements works with a spine-tingling trance riff over scuffled, hazy beats and a strong story-telling bassline. On "Trespass 06," the duo delves deeper into pared-back club material, expressing some of Booka Shade's finer points -- intricate percussion, hypnotic arrangement and understated beats. The final track is characterized by an intense, brooding bassline that morphs into gurgling fluidity. Underpinned by a rigid funk structure, this track has been inspired by the raw funk of Chicago, fashioned specifically for darkened, sweaty basements and heaving sound systems.

Title: Get Physical 4th Anniversary Label Compilation Pt. 1
Label: GET PHYSICAL MUSIC (GERMANY)
Format: 12"
Price: $10.00
Catalog #: GPM 042EP
Accompanying the Get Physical CD compilation that collects some of the label's recent highlights and forthcoming releases is this first sampler remix EP, which recruits some of the most promising producers from both sides of the Atlantic as remixers. Newcomer Jona fuses the hissing textures and skeletal percussion of minimalism with the tight claps and swinging groove of Chicago house on M.A.N.D.Y.'s "Jah," while Troy Pierce's remix of Chelonis R. Jones' "Deer In The Headlights" is all ominous dark bass with splintered metallic percussion. Finally, Pierce collaborates with Konrad Black to deliver a new version of Booka Shade's big tune, "Mandarine Girl." The trio turn the infectious trance hooks into darker, techier riffs, while a freeform jazzy flute solo plays along in the background. Get Physical pushes electronic music to its furthest limits.

Artist: SNAX & IANEQ
Title: Fill Me Up EP
Label: GET PHYSICAL MUSIC (GERMANY)
Format: 12"
Price: $10.00
Catalog #: GPM 043EP
This is the label debut by US producer in Berlin and one half of Captain Comatose, Snax alongside Ianeq, one half of the Swiss music machine Enterplay. "Fill Me Up" sounds like the guys have been raiding their '80s funk and electro record collection for inspiration; Snax's high pitched falsetto vocals and their use of vintage synth lines transport us. However, the loose beats make this track ideal for DJs who like their grooves dipped in romantic sleaze. On "It Ain't Love," they return to more conventional house music territory, with a tighter, clubby arrangement. But the elastic funk groove and breezy synths remain, allowing Snax's climaxing vocals to reach a soulful nirvana.

Artist: FUCKPONY
Title: Ride the Pony EP
Label: GET PHYSICAL MUSIC (GERMANY)
Format: 12"
Price: $10.00
Catalog #: GPM 044EP
Fuckpony is a new project that Berlin producer Jay Haze and Samim use to explore the outer limits of house music. Taking inspiration from old school, they drop "Ride The Pony," a vocal house track that celebrates the hedonistic lifestyle dance music offers. The production is clean, the sounds are clear, and the vocals a bit edgy. "Cell Phone Hit" is a more direct club track, tailor-made for dark basements. The seemingly unending vocal mantra is set to a trippy, repetitive rhythm. Finally, Haze and Samim return to minimal with "Schmoozin." Stripped back, warm building chords, and wild yelping will make it the ideal accompaniment to this summer's outdoor parties.

Artist: BOOKA SHADE
Title: In White Rooms Vinyl Two
Label: GET PHYSICAL MUSIC (GERMANY)
Format: 12"
Price: $10.00
Catalog #: GPM 045EP
This is the second set of remixes of Booka Shade's "In White Rooms" single. While these new versions take the track to previously unexplored, exotic places, they still don't sacrifice its epic qualities. Walter and Arno themselves provide the first interpretation, inspired by the beaches of the Yucatan. The rhythms are more stripped down and glitchy, and the soaring bass isn't audible this time, but the overall feeling is spaced out, due to the haunting chords. Then, female Dutch DJ/producer Shinedoe brings her spinning expertise to bear with her version. Deep and swirling, yet jacking and acidic, Shinedoe's love of Detroit techno and Chicago house is united by a grainy bassline and a dramatic breakdown. It's musical techno, but it will still work in the main room of an underground club at peak times.

Title: Played Runner
Label: GET PHYSICAL MUSIC (GERMANY)
Format: 12"
Price: $10.00
Catalog #: GPM 046EP
After the huge success of 2005's "Body Language" track, the Get Physical founders find the time to team up for another collaboration -- this time it's DJ T. and Booka Shade's turn. "Played Runner" obviously doesn't represent one of the contemporary formulas -- taking inspiration from the classic Detroit techno sound, the musical chords and dreamy strings sweep and soar to dramatic highs. The powerful standing bassline is also a central part, and once it kicks in, it hits the listener on a physical as well as emotional level. Changing musical direction, "Queen Lucid" sounds like it's bringing together the best in DJ T. and Booka Shade's identities. Featuring Arno and Walter's ability to make drop-dead seductive melodies and T.'s love of rumbling electronic basslines, the track also looks to dance music's past to create a moody yet rousing cut that will go down a storm on every dancefloor.

Title: Don't Go EP
Label: GET PHYSICAL MUSIC (GERMANY)
Format: 12"
Price: $10.00
Catalog #: GPM 047EP
"German DJ Thomas Schumacher, producer Stephan Bodzin and Australian vocalist Caitlin Devlin team up again for a second release on Get Physical. 'Don't Go' is an invitation to stay on, to keep the evening going. Caitlin's sultry, teasing vocals 'promise not to fall asleep' and she says that she 'won't entertain the thought of being alone.' It's a rallying call to a close friend not to give up the party and Caitlin insists that she's 'up for everything you see/I want to enjoy your company.' The accompanying music is more restrained than 'Pleasure Seeker', but it's the perfect soundtrack for nights that go on for ever, an after-party track with a stripped-back jacking rhythm, throbbing bass pulses and building riffs that map changing moods, the peaks and troughs clubbers experience when the night blends into daytime."

Artist: DISCEMI
Title: Tango or Cash
Label: GET PHYSICAL MUSIC (GERMANY)
Format: 12"
Price: $10.00
Catalog #: GPM 048EP
Two of Finland's most respected house music producers, Jori Hulkkonen and Tuomas Salmela, get together for their Get Physical debut. Discemi combines Jori's love of deep, melodic techno and house with Tuomas' tracky, electrohouse grooves. The title track starts the EP in tough mode, powered by a prowling bassline and tight claps, with scary metallic techno rhythms. "Silver Ghost" still has a moody, mysterious feeling, but its bleepy, electronic bass is more groovy and chugs along to the sound of sweet, chiming melodies. Close your eyes and imagine the bumping funk of underground Chicago with the evocative hooks of European trance and you're close to the sound of "The Deepity Pt. 2."

Title: Les Djinns Remixes
Label: GET PHYSICAL MUSIC (GERMANY)
Format: 12"
Price: $10.00
Catalog #: GPM 049EP
The original "Djinns" was released on Danish label EMI Capitol in 2003, and now Get Physical have delivered a package of remixes that will get everyone playing this haunting theme. First up is Trentemøller who drops an epic, tranced-out version that sounds like a true Balearic anthem, but which also uses the original track's acoustic guitar riff. Then the Berlin act My My pushes the track in a radically different direction, bringing the track back to basics, their shuffling drums and acidic licks possessing a sleazy rawness that will appeal to any DJ who likes trippy, stripped back club grooves. Lastly, the Def Jaguar version centers on a murky bassline and has a moody tone from the outset. This version will have a devastating effect in big rooms as well as intimate clubs.

Title: In White Rooms -- Vinyl One
Label: GET PHYSICAL MUSIC (GERMANY)
Format: 12"
Price: $10.00
Catalog #: GPM 050EP
Taken from their second album, Movements, Arno Kammermeier and Walter Merziger drop "In White Rooms," another epic Booka Shade dancefloor moment. Available in its original format as well as a fresh new take from Elektrochemie which loses none of the original track's melodic, epic qualities, this release is certain to find room in discerning DJ boxes. The original version has that distinctive, electronic, soaring Booka Shade bassline, which keeps on building and building until it finally reaches an emotive, evocative climax. The remix by Elektrochemie builds from subtle, spacey beginnings and powerful claps that provide the basis for a booming, bleepy bassline, transporting the listener from the soft-focus haze of European trance to the mean streets of Chicago and back again. "Blue Rooms" displays Booka Shade's dance floor power. Panning percussion and a heavy bass contain shards of a human voice -- this one will cause devastation in the club.

Title: Body Language - The Remixes
Label: GET PHYSICAL MUSIC (GERMANY)
Format: 12"
Price: $10.00
Catalog #: GPM 051EP
Remixes from Radioslave, Jona & Sterac Electronis. "Body Language" was one of Get Physical's biggest releases, and now remix duties are handed over to three carefully chosen producers. Jona impresses his stripped back, hypnotic percussion and blasts of fuzzy noise, giving "Language" a more techno feeling. Radioslave offers a near ten-minute reshape. Rooted in hissing percussion and underpinned by a pulsing acid groove, the jacking track builds to reach a trancey climax. Finally, Sterac takes "Language" on a trip to the outer limits of electronic music. Live drums and jazzy keys edge the melodies of the original track into a parallel universe, pushing the track towards the adventurous spirit of Motor City, but the brooding bass means that it will still work out on the dancefloor. The producers may speak in different tongues, but the message is clear: it's impossible not to move your body to these remixes!

Artist: FUCKPONY
Title: Get Pony
Label: GET PHYSICAL MUSIC (GERMANY)
Format: 12"
Price: $10.00
Catalog #: GPM 052EP
It's time to saddle up the pony and ride on to the next adventure with Berlin producer Jay Haze and Samim. The shuffling drums of the title track combined with resonating acid lines and a deeply hypnotic vocal makes this a sexy reinvention of old school house. "Pony Pumper" grooves along at a more restrained tempo with beautiful male vocals that weave in and out of the blissed-out chords. Lastly, "Dawg's Life" is a lean, jacking affair that morphs into a spacey, acid workout. Like the after-effect of munching on a mescaline-soaked worm, Fuckpony have made something enjoyably trippy for those long, hot summer nights.

Artist: JONA
Title: Tizia
Label: GET PHYSICAL MUSIC (GERMANY)
Format: 12"
Price: $10.00
Catalog #: GPM 053EP
The fresh faced wunderkind from Belgium returns to deliver more futuristic house music to Get Physical. "Tizia" shows glitchy, fragmented percussion and beautiful melodies, taking the listener on a trip to the rings of Saturn, but the pulsing, resonating bass transports them back down to earth and into the middle of a sweaty club. "North Love" is a sexy, sensuous house groove full of Balaeric warmth and a little touch of Detroit. The last track with its acid undercurrents, seductive trance riffs, and cut-up percussion is tailor-made for only the most tripped-out dancefloor moments.

Artist: HEIDI VS. RITON
Title: Vejer EP
Label: GET PHYSICAL MUSIC (GERMANY)
Format: 12"
Price: $10.00
Catalog #: GPM 054EP
This is Heidi and Riton's first collaboration on Get Physical. Riton is a producer/ DJ par excellence and Heidi is the owner-manager of one of London's finest record stores, Phonica. "Vejer" is a jacking underground track inspired by Chicago house and Motor City techno, with an old school Detroit vibe that packs quite a dancefloor punch. On the flip side, Front Room boss Jesse Rose retains a large part of the original track in his dubby remix, and it's a trippy, jacking affair -- tailor-made for late night use when the lines between what's real and surreal are blurred.

Title: Full Body Workout Vol. 03
Label: GET PHYSICAL MUSIC (GERMANY)
Format: 2x12"
Price: $16.50
Catalog #: GPM 055EP
Get Physical launches the third volume of its popular Full Body Workout double vinyl package. Eight tracks from eight different artists focus on upcoming producers and new signings to the Get Physical family. First up is Italian newcomer Slok with a remix of Elbee Bad's very first single, "Just Don't Stop The Dance." This 1988-derived piece is an evocative, old school house track, with haunting chords and moody vocals. Zwicker's "Monkey Mood," and its official first vinyl appearance combines a snaking electronic bass and trippy chords with screeching chimpanzees and sounds sampled from the rainforest. "Daybreak" is given the remix treatment by Jona, with a hypnotic deep house track. DJ Lava contributes "Just You," a trippy composition with a friendly old school house flavor. Next, Williams starts his track off with a mournful, understated groove, its bass gradually building into a wall of electronic noise before breaking down into a series of frequency-shifting bleeps. Einzelkind keeps the intensity levels in the red with the grinding electronic bass of "So Close So Far," while Discemi presents a track of soaring bass, melodic trance riffs, and old school Chicago drums. Finally, label newcomers Audiofly, collaborating on this occasion with James Talk, deliver "Cool Wet Grass," which skips and shuffles along to a minimal rhythm, until the plunging, resonating bass builds to an epic finale. Full Body Workout 3 shows that all of Get Physical's new members know how to appeal to the head, heart and feet.

Title: Darko
Label: GET PHYSICAL MUSIC (GERMANY)
Format: 12"
Price: $10.00
Catalog #: GPM 056EP
Four track remix EP, 2 remixes by Booka Shade, 2 remixes by Hot Chip. "Darko" was one of the highlights of Booka Shade's Movements album, and Booka Shade and Hot Chip decided to do swap mixes. The first mix sticks to the dance floor with an edgier feeling, as spooky riffs climax over a hissing, driving backing track. Their next mix presents a soaring, epic bass and a stuttering, stripped back groove. Hot Chip then arrange beautiful chords and vocal samples to create their version. Their last mix continues in this languid direction, for an ambient treatment that's in stark contrast with Booka Shade's soaring original.

Artist: FUCKPONY
Title: It's Only Music
Label: GET PHYSICAL MUSIC (GERMANY)
Format: 12"
Price: $10.00
Catalog #: GPM 057EP
"It's Only Music" is the latest single taken from Fuckpony's debut album for Get Physical, Children Of Love. Although it has a modest title, the release sees Samim and Jay Haze sharing their deep love of house music with the listener. While the title track benefits from modern electronic production, it also looks back to classic house music, with dramatic, uplifting strings. "Body Movement" communicates a similar message, expressed through classic deep house and sweet, jazzy sounds set to the shuffling steely drums of Berlin. "Touch Me" is stripped back, with metallic rhythms that morph to reveal scary riffs and moody bass licks. Fuckpony reveal their hidden sweet sides and darker sounds.

Artist: BOOKA SHADE
Title: Darko
Label: GET PHYSICAL MUSIC (GERMANY)
Format: 12"
Price: $10.00
Catalog #: GPM 058EP
This is the second remix package of new versions of "Darko," from Booka Shade's acclaimed Movements album. Tiefschwarz's treatment is based on a stripped-back, stuttering rhythm and resonating blips and bleeps. Booka Shade are the next remixers, and their track is a live version of "Darko." Retaining the original track's epic, infectious hooks, the remix uses a pumping bass-heavy groove, tailor-made for peak time usage. Newcomers Ganzer & Niggemann favor a more layered, dubby approach, reaching the deepest recesses of underground house and techno. Finally, Radio Slave stretches out the track beyond the ten-minute mark, swathing his acidic pulses with Booka Shade's trance-y hooks, making for a hypnotic finale.

Lead track "4 Play" does what its title suggests, teasing the listener and moving in a number of different directions. Just when you think that you've got used to the cold, skeletal drums, Audiofly X seduce with haunting chords, and by the time that the reconstituted trance riff drops, the listener will be ready to explode with passion. "Are We There Yet?" is a real hands in the air, smiley-faced moment, combining old-school rave samples with ultra modern metallic drum sounds, powerful bass pulses and austere chords.

Title: The Dark Side of the Pony Pt. 1
Label: GET PHYSICAL MUSIC (GERMANY)

Price: $10.00
Catalog #: GPM 061EP
Now consisting only of Jay Haze, the Fuckpony project ventures into the deepest, darkest recesses of house music's underground to deliver two rough and raw club tracks on the first of two 10" releases. "Hot Slave" comes straight from the warehouse, its rough beats and heavy claps laying the basis for an acid line that tweaks and morphs itself into a wild, spine-tingling climax. "Tiny Slave" is just as primal: a rumbling, menacing bass and tight percussion provide the backing for a scary riff that keeps building and building into a grungy, dark climax. These are proper jacking tracks from one of electronic music's new players.

The pile-driving metallic rhythms are ideal for peak time, and the wall of building electronic riffs will drive the dancefloor to mayhem.

U.S. producer in Berlin Jay Haze saddles up his trusty Fuckpony steed once again to go on a journey through the moodier end of house and techno music. Dark Side Pt. 2 is dance music with a raw, old school attitude but with all the benefits of modern production. "Flower" takes inspiration from '90s techno, with dark, Detroit-style chords swarming into attack formation. "Cold Slave" takes inspiration from acid trax and house music's unifying philosophy. Over a tweaky, freaked-out 303 riff, a man talks about the essence of the groove and the importance of being one with the music. Hitch a ride with Jay Haze as he brings house and techno into the future.

"Gimme Gimme" presents tough, stomping drums that play host to a swirling, layered synth riff which brings the listener to a psychedelic parallel universe. Finally, Isolée delivers a remix of "Share My Rhythm." It's the clubbiest remix he has done recently, with a pulsing, dubby rhythm underpinning Lopazz's beautiful chords.

Finally, T.'s own "Disaster Dub" puts forth tight metallic drums that shuffle towards a series of dramatic, chord-driven breakdowns.

Artist: MEAT VS. EINZELKIND
Title: Meat Is Murder EP
Label: GET PHYSICAL MUSIC (GERMANY)
Format: 12"
Price: $10.00
Catalog #: GPM 066EP
Meat, aka Carsten Schumann, the owner of the long-established Frankfurt record store Freebase, teams up with Arno Völker from Einzelkind, who used to work at the shop, to put out his first production. Taking its name from an album by The Smiths, these three tasty cuts will sizzle on the dancefloor. The first track showcases a prowling, squelchy bass, underpinning deep chords that build and build until they hit a huge break down. The third track progresses from breakbeats into a driving tribal groove. With the last track, the duo's beats are reduced to the minimum, using a drum-heavy groove and a wild analog techno riff that is impossible to escape.

Artist: RITCH & COLLINS
Title: Fortuna
Label: GET PHYSICAL MUSIC (GERMANY)
Format: 12"
Price: $10.00
Catalog #: GPM 067EP
The debut from French producer Paul Ritch and his studio partner, Anthony Collins. This powerful four-tracker has a more techno approach than usual for the Berlin label, but is sure to bring good fortune to any DJ that drops it. "Fortuna" is based on clicky rhythms and hypnotic bleeps that lead to a dark, filtered breakdown. "Motion12" continues this theme, as slivers of percussion and groove provide the backing for an acid-flecked bassline. "Pumkin" explores rhythms with a clicky, bleepy sound, but this time, there are FX-heavy drums and a dark, nagging techno riff. Finally, "Waldorf" is a more mellow sound: the drums still have heavy FX, but with a haunting, evocative riff. Fortune favors the brave and any DJ that plays these stripped back club tracks.

Artist: JONA
Title: Evidence EP
Label: GET PHYSICAL MUSIC (GERMANY)
Format: 12"
Price: $10.00
Catalog #: GPM 068EP
Get Physical's Belgian protégé strikes again with a release that brings together deepness and contemporary beat programming, more evidence that he's one of Europe's finest new producers for this refreshing style of warm and melodic club tunes. The title track starts off gradually, first as a mournful electronic soundscape that recalls Carpenter-esque soundtracks as well as early '90s trance moods. With an unexpected, elongated break down and a persuasive, pulsing rhythm, this slice of modern Detroit trance will please all dancefloors. "Smart Cats vs. Dumb Dogs" features more house-based beats, accompanied by a resonating and jumping bassline and evocative old school chords, telling a story of a cosy and organic place, somewhere in the past of the future.

Artist: SEBO K & METRO
Title: Transit EP
Label: GET PHYSICAL MUSIC (GERMANY)
Format: 12"
Price: $10.00
Catalog #: GPM 069EP
The Sebo K and Metro partnership makes its debut on Get Physical with Transit. These upcoming house producers are so hot that this EP almost melts the vinyl that it's pressed on! "Transit" is inspired by old school Chicago house but boasts a modern techno approach to arranging with a building, nagging bass riff that will kill any club. Philly producer King Britt dons his Scuba hat to provide the remix: it's more understated than the original version, based on an off-beat groove, but, like a thief slipping through an open door in the middle of the night, Britt's reshape gradually introduces the hypnotic chords. Before you know it, his remix will have seduced any crowd who love deep, electronic house music. Get a move on to pick up this future house classic.

Format: 12"
Price: $10.00
Catalog #: GPM 071EP
DJ. T presents The Dawn, and the title track will usher the dancefloor to the sunrise, whatever time of day or night. Busy, clicky percussion sets the scene for a full-bodied, bassline to take control. "Jam Pot" is more playful, and driven by a classic Physical bass melody -- at once intimate and techy, dubby and dancefloor-urgent, gritty but optimistic. Get Physical score again with two sides of masterful house music from a man who knows.

Artist: KRAMER
Title: Runner EP
Label: GET PHYSICAL MUSIC (GERMANY)
Format: 12"
Price: $10.00
Catalog #: GPM 072EP
Kramer is better-known as Larrson, and the Berlin-based DJ/producer has released a series of acclaimed 12"s on esteemed labels like Traum Schallplatten and BPitch Control. He now adopts the Kramer guise to deliver a 3-track EP of smart, electro-influenced minimal house. "Runner" features clicking percussion before urgent hi-hats and hard snares take over and aim the tune squarely at the dancefloor. "Sonne Ist Da" is led by clipped, melodious chords that bubble under the surface and strengthen and rise until they break out, tracked by a fiercer synth line, The EP is rounded-off with "El Pueblo De Bailar" that possesses a conga-led groove that will lock in dancers and home-listeners alike and refuse to let them go.

Artist: RITCH, PAUL
Title: June
Label: GET PHYSICAL MUSIC (GERMANY)
Format: 12"
Price: $10.00
Catalog #: GPM 073EP
Paul Ritch has earned his stripes with solo releases on Resopal Schallware, MiniSketch and Paradigma, but saves his best for Physical with two minimal house tracks of real energy and sophistication. A master of slow-burning intensity, Ritch begins June in understated fashion, but build after build, and the onset of busy, chattering percussion, sonar pings and ravey acid lines take things to a wholly different level. "Messene" is a similarly stealthy assault on the dancefloor -- a tough, insistent kick gives the track its shape, but it's the clever edits and bleepy, entrancing melody folding in on and around itself that really captivate: this is a track to lose oneself in completely.

Artist: SAMIM
Title: Heater
Label: GET PHYSICAL MUSIC (GERMANY)
Format: 12"
Price: $10.00
Catalog #: GPM 074EP
Samim heralds the arrival of his debut album for Get Physical with "Heater," an exuberant slice of electronic house that has already set pulses racing on dancefloors around the world. "Heater" is backed with a slamming remix from Claude Von Stroke and a brand new track, "Ultraviolet." "Heater" was one of the buzz tracks of Sonar 2007, with its tight, insidiously funky rhythm. The hook is a spiraling, feel-good accordion melody chopped and edited to induce full-on dancefloor hysteria. California's minimal tech-funk maestro Claude Von Stroke supplies a jacking yet hypnotic remix, adding deep conga rhythms and employing a mad array of samples.

Artist: DJ T.
Title: The Dawn Remixes
Label: GET PHYSICAL MUSIC (GERMANY)
Format: 12"
Price: $10.00
Catalog #: GPM 075EP
DJ T.'s The Dawn first appeared in early 2007, and now it's time for the remixes. First up, T. himself tackles "Jam Pot." The original was a warm and jazz-inflected take on deep minimal house, and T. retains this essence for the new version, placing different emphasis on the percussion, messing with the structure of the track, and pinching and squeezing certain elements to make it a more robust dancefloor proposition. For a fresh treatment of "The Dawn," Woody, the legendary former resident DJ at Berlin's E-Werk, draws upon the spirit of classic Berlin club music while embracing the deep, melodic minimalism which is the sound of its most discerning clubs today. This is an after-party epic.

The title track is based around a looped violin, a fat kick-drum and razor-sharp hi-hats that make it a peak-time monster. The "DRAMAdub" is soaked in echo and delay, while a wraith-like counterpoint curls around it. "At De Stella" is a bleepy minimalist number with a no-nonsense groove and a voice listing food items. House music to get lost inside.

Booka Shade return to their roots with a 12" of sheer dancefloor firepower. "Planetary" appears on this 12" in two forms: club and dub. The club mix features low-end tweaks, crowd-hyping drums and a melodic stylophone refrain. The dub mix is a darker, more minimalist affair -- serious, seductive and mind-bending house music. Booka's version of "City Tales" is an uncompromisingly dark but delicate scorcher with a sensuous swing. Booka Shade invites you to chase the night and the neon light.

Artist: JUNIOR BOYS
Title: No Kinda Man
Label: GET PHYSICAL MUSIC (GERMANY)
Format: 12"
Price: $11.00
Catalog #: GPM 087EP
"No Kinda Man" from Junior Boys was first heard on their contribution to Get Physical's Body Language mix series. "No Kinda Man" begins with a stormy low-end rumble broken by a repeated, chiming guitar chord, a spacious, dubby 4x4 rhythm and Jeremy's plaintive, quietly imploring vocal. An added 12-bar blues structure is further proof that Junior Boys' music pays no heed to traditional genre boundaries. Classic, yet utterly contemporary. Jona and Chloé provide remixes.

Artist: LOPAZZ
Title: We Are
Label: GET PHYSICAL MUSIC (GERMANY)
Format: 12"
Price: $12.50
Catalog #: GPM 091EP
Lopazz presents We Are, enlisting the remixing powers of Rex The Dog and Einzelkind. Rex works in fat analog bass, crazy acid lines and chopped-up drums for an epic re-working -- joyous, bug-eyed and maximal. Einzelkind makes use of the original vocals, strapping them to a tough, taut, tech-house progression, with ascending synth-hooks that recall '80s electro-pop at its dystopian best. The original is dramatic and propulsive, with emotive synths, a mutant R&B vocal, and electronic blips and bleeps. Unmissable.

Artist: BAUMEL, PATRICE
Title: Roar
Label: GET PHYSICAL MUSIC (GERMANY)
Format: 12"
Price: $12.50
Catalog #: GPM 092EP
Patrice Bäumel has made a name for himself as a producer of warm, lustrous and dynamic dancefloor music. "Roar" builds suspense with a taut, tense rhythmic backbone, consisting only of a hand-clap and a lisping hi-hat. "Comfortably Uncomfortable" features a tough kick-drum, a panning synth motif and a precision-tooled bass melody. "Clair" swings with a kick-drum offset by Latin percussion patterns and melody. A velvety, synthetic string theme swells into the foreground, making it a deeply atmospheric, dramatic track.

Artist: SIOPIS
Title: Penny From The Lane
Label: GET PHYSICAL MUSIC (GERMANY)
Format: 12"
Price: $12.50
Catalog #: GPM 094EP
This is the debut single from Siopis aka Silversurfer, one half of the dynamic duo Kiki & Silversufer. This release is a blinding blast of genre-bending, futurist dance music dressed with the lascivious vocals of Mr. Brean. Siopis lays down loose tech-funk rhythms and thrumming bass lines against Baltimore booty bass-style vocalist Mr. Brean. Abstracted words and pitched-down vocals are set against sparse, dubbed-out rhythms and warped sub-bass in a way that's highly menacing.

Artist: JONA
Title: Take Five
Label: GET PHYSICAL MUSIC (GERMANY)
Format: 12"
Price: $12.50
Catalog #: GPM 095EP
Jona is back with his fourth release on Get Physical. At the core of "Take Five" is a warm, fluttering piano loop. Around these faintly jazzy chords is a percussive track which nods to the passion and polish of classic '90s house music. "Sunset" boasts a minimalist groove undercut by a raw bass line, tight snares and hi-hats. A dubbed-out organ makes way for a smoky saxophone sample. This is the arrival of night and all the possibilities it entails.

Artist: DJ T.
Title: Outbreak
Label: GET PHYSICAL MUSIC (GERMANY)
Format: 12"
Price: $12.50
Catalog #: GPM 096EP
Born out of sessions with Matthias Tanzmann, "Outbreak" affirms DJ T.'s ideals of groove and melody. The stripped-down version on the A-side was conceived after the "True School Mix" -- its sleek, percussive funk proved to be a real people-mover on the dancefloor. Though undeniably moody and sonically streamlined, "Outbreak" has all the bump and sparkle of classic house, and shows T.'s knack for locating the seeds of the future in the fertile soil of the past.

Artist: TIGER STRIPES
Title: Blackroom Entertainment EP
Label: GET PHYSICAL MUSIC (GERMANY)
Format: 12"
Price: $12.50
Catalog #: GPM 097EP
Swedish DJ/producer Mikael Nordgren aka Tiger Stripes presents the Blackroom Entertainment EP, showcasing his ability as a formidable contributor to house music. The title track is more evidence of his programming prowess and ability to mold melodies into a sophisticated groove. "Abacus" is analog in approach with springing tones, a cabal of sci-fi sounds, and thick, modulated analog bass that ups the overall energy. Only a seasoned DJ and knowledgeable producer could fabricate such a convincing theme.

Artist: M.A.N.D.Y. VS BOOKA SHADE (FEAT. LAURIE ANDERSON)
Title: O Superman Remixes - Vinyl 1
Label: GET PHYSICAL MUSIC (GERMANY)
Format: 12"
Price: $12.50
Catalog #: GPM 098-1EP
It remains one of the most inspiring blips in pop history: that a song as weird as Laurie Anderson's "O Superman" could become a mega-selling worldwide hit, loved by the average guy and arty types alike. Now, Get Physical presents the first of a two-volume remix series. Matt John takes a thrillingly direct approach that is experimental and entertaining. M.A.N.D.Y. and Booka Shade's version is a four-to-the-floor workout, and Reboot's mix is spaced-out dub-house with vocodered harmonies that bubble to the surface for a psychedelic finale.

Artist: M.A.N.D.Y. VS BOOKA SHADE (FEAT. LAURIE ANDERSON)
Title: O Superman Remixes - Vinyl 2
Label: GET PHYSICAL MUSIC (GERMANY)
Format: 12"
Price: $12.50
Catalog #: GPM 098-2EP
The second remix 12" of Laurie Anderson's "O Superman" is kicked off by Audiofly X with a lean minimal techno rendering. Felix Da Housecat underpins the original with dramatic strings and ominous piano. Robag Wruhme constructs a shimmering minimal techno fantasia, full of microscopic detail.

Artist: BOOKA SHADE
Title: Sweet Lies
Label: GET PHYSICAL MUSIC (GERMANY)
Format: 12"
Price: $12.50
Catalog #: GPM 101EP
Booka Shade presents Sweet Lies -- the third single to be taken from their album The Sun & The Neon Light. Booka Shade's "Easy Way Out" mix is filled with soaring melodies and deep synth textures. Patrice Bäumel's remix aims for the dancefloor, but also celebrates the song-form at the heart of "Sweet Lies." Matthias Tanzmann offers a tough, percussive techno re-work, and Booka Shade's "Bitter Truth" mix is a darker reimagining of the track.

Artist: ABRIL, GEL
Title: Miranda
Label: GET PHYSICAL MUSIC (GERMANY)
Format: 12"
Price: $12.50
Catalog #: GPM 103EP
Gel Abril presents an exceptional 12" of synth-soaked, bleep-saturated and tech-drenched house, exclusively produced by Shlomi Aber. One can almost get lost in "Miranda" through the rhythmic thudding of the pristine bass drum -- play this peak-time and watch the crowd do the Tel Aviv shuffle. "Dusty" has enough energy to keep the club bumping with a tightly equalized funk-bass guitar that is locked in a room with some techno bleeps. Two meaty chunks of clubland goodness.

Artist: NOZE
Title: You Have To Dance
Label: GET PHYSICAL MUSIC (GERMANY)
Format: 12"
Price: $12.50
Catalog #: GPM 104EP
Nôze aka Parisian pranksters Nicolas Sfintescu and Ezéchiel Pailhès are back with a new single taken from their acclaimed Songs On The Rocks, including scene-stealing remixes by Mathias Kaden and Lee Jones (Aus/MyMy). The album version of "You Have To Dance" will lull you into a false sense of security with its skippy techno rhythm, before the duo remind you that "...you have to dance." Nôze incorporate their sense of humor into totally serious music which is seriously danceable.

Artist: BARFOD & FREDSKI, TOMAS
Title: March On Swan Lake
Label: GET PHYSICAL MUSIC (GERMANY)
Format: 12"
Price: $12.50
Catalog #: GPM 106EP
As the drummer and producer of WhoMadeWho, Tomas Barfod is back with a new studio partner, Fredski. "March On Swan Lake" oozes with the organic sounds of flutes, tambourines and saxophones, cemented by a pumping bass line and smoothly mixed drums -- dub version included. On "Where Tom & Fred Live..." bottom-end percussion takes you on a back road escapade, where Tom and Fred's good buddies -- who all resemble characters from a J.R. Tolkien novel -- all dance to the tumbling beats and rumbling bass.

Artist: LOPAZZ
Title: Credit Card Receipt
Label: GET PHYSICAL MUSIC (GERMANY)
Format: 12"
Price: $12.50
Catalog #: GPM 108EP
Lopazz has been releasing outstanding material since the inception of Get Physical Music in 2002. "You got to be different, if you want to survive," states Jesse Sharps, his deep, raspy drawl shrouding "V-Point" like thick smoke in a bar with no windows. "G-Point" is a straight-up house workout -- jacking snares and percussion unite within a classic form. "Credit Card Receipt" is remixed by The Fix, who dramatize the Detroit-esque pad section and add some extra energy via a hypnotizing synth-stab rhythm.

Artist: BRONNT INDUSTRIES KAPITAL
Title: Objects & Purpose
Label: GET PHYSICAL MUSIC (GERMANY)
Format: 12"
Price: $12.50
Catalog #: GPM 109EP
Introducing a new member to the Get Physical family: Bristol-based Guy Bartell aka Bronnt Industries Kapital. Objects & Purpose features the first single from Bronnt's debut album on Get Physical, remixed by M.A.N.D.Y. vs. Booka Shade and Lopazz. M.A.N.D.Y. vs. Booka Shade morphs the track into a full-on Saturday night hands-in-the-air affair, while Lopazz stretches the elements out while adding a splash of late-'80s Chicago house.

Artist: AUDIOFLY X
Title: Mar Del Plata
Label: GET PHYSICAL MUSIC (GERMANY)
Format: 12"
Price: $12.50
Catalog #: GPM 110EP
Anthony Middleton and Luca Saporito aka Audiofly X return to Get Physical with more ass-wigglin' future-house grooves. Funkified house stabs and one of the most compelling bass lines of the year make up "Mar Del Plata." Nick Curly provides a modern-house remix, gently marinating the track in some classic house flavors by reworking original chord stabs. "Get Smarter" contains confident, organic drum patterns, combined with chopped-up vocals and mild Latin flavors. Audiofly X once again delivers some deadly dancefloor artillery.

Artist: DJ T.
Title: Dis
Label: GET PHYSICAL MUSIC (GERMANY)
Format: 12"
Price: $12.50
Catalog #: GPM 111EP
DJ T. presents the first single from his album The Inner Jukebox. "Dis" features rolling toms, sneaky claves, bongo interludes and jumpy, sliced-up vocals. If you like DJ tools, then this is the DJ's Swiss Army knife. Solomun really turns the clock back on this one, with cowbells and 909 hats, creating a classic '80s house style. "I Am Rhythm" uses complex, syncopated house and techno patterns, with a detour through tribal. Perpetual motion and a naturally hypnotic groove.

Artist: LAZARUS, DAMIAN
Title: Neverending
Label: GET PHYSICAL MUSIC (GERMANY)
Format: 12"
Price: $12.50
Catalog #: GPM 112EP
This is the second single preceding Damian Lazarus' full-length Smoke The Monster Out. Although "Neverending" is lush with uplifting rhythms and euphoric tones, the vocals tell the story of a broken heart. M.A.N.D.Y. teams up with Alexkid to tech out the mix while adding some minimal funk flavor. Brennan Green adds width and space with loose, disco-style beats. A tender wobble of the bass line and a slew of new sounds surface in both the dub and vocal versions.

Artist: SCHUMACHER, THOMAS
Title: The Ooh
Label: GET PHYSICAL MUSIC (GERMANY)
Format: 12"
Price: $12.50
Catalog #: GPM 113EP
Thomas Schumacher's "The Ooh" is a hypnotic relay race of instruments -- the rapid plucking of an upright bass followed by piano and trumpet continuously filter, warp and modulate to the finish line. "The Ooh" remix comes courtesy of M.in, featuring Harold Todd, who adds some serious low-end rumble. "Sunset" features more trumpet, this time laid upon a bed of finger-snaps, claps and percussion. A minute-long Balkan-style jam band bursts out in the middle of the track, creating an exciting and unexpected juxtaposition.

Artist: BARFOD & FREDSKI, TOMAS
Title: Mr. Fleurquin
Label: GET PHYSICAL MUSIC (GERMANY)
Format: 12"
Price: $12.50
Catalog #: GPM 114EP
Copenhagen's Tomas Barfod & Fredski bring forth "Mr. Fleurquin," a most funky tune. Catz 'N Dogz add their Polish patina to an already-precious black diamond, taking it straight to the club. The vocals circle above like vultures and the bass rumbles below like tremors. "Super Mercado" is a workout of percussion and thunderous sub-bass drops. Sneaky edits keep it rolling, but this a tried-and-true DJ tool that is versatile enough to pick the lock or just smash the door down.

Artist: DJ T.
Title: Bateria
Label: GET PHYSICAL MUSIC (GERMANY)
Format: 12"
Price: $12.50
Catalog #: GPM 115EP
Deriving its name from "drum set" in Portuguese and Spanish, "Bateria" is more than just a couple of jiggles of a chocalho or the shake of a pandeiro. The cadence between the drums and percussion sounds like an ancient tribal language, and vocals are short and sweet. The dOP remix sets the drums in motion. Lastly, "Early Bird" is a deep, introspective tune that epitomizes what DJ T. stands for: layered percussion, crackling snares, and melodically-arranged synthesizer chords.

Artist: CATZ 'N DOGZ (FEAT. POL_ON)
Title: Me
Label: GET PHYSICAL MUSIC (GERMANY)
Format: 12"
Price: $12.50
Catalog #: GPM 116EP
On this 12", accomplished Polish tech-house producers Catz 'N Dogz team up with their homeboys, Pol_On. "Me" features Todd Terry stabs, gospel diva vocals, and a rhythm played with chopped, escalating vocals that will definitely get your hands up. "Kawa Z Gruntem" is a cosmic-disco house journey, perfect for sipping cognac at closing parties. "Lolek & Bolek" is a hip-hop funkster with a dirty bass line, heavy beats, cheeky drum fills and effects. Three tracks, three different vibes.

Artist: VA
Title: Full Body Workout Vol. 05
Label: GET PHYSICAL MUSIC (GERMANY)
Format: 12"
Price: $12.50
Catalog #: GPM 117EP
This is the fifth installment in Get Physical's limited edition Full Body Workout series. Keine Musik's remix of "You," by Icelandic pop band Steed Lord contorts the vocals into stuttering remnants of their former selves. Catz N' Dogz's grooving house number glides along on a smooth surface of chords, percussion and tender vocals. Maher Daniel's "Casbar" is slow-burning and lush. Turmspringer round it out with a Detroit techno-influenced tune that prowls the night like a black panther.

Artist: DJ T.
Title: Shine On
Label: GET PHYSICAL MUSIC (GERMANY)
Format: 12"
Price: $12.50
Catalog #: GPM 118EP
This is the final single from DJ. T's The Inner Jukebox. T. and his studio cohort Thomas Schumacher aimed to create contemporary tracks that still contained the essence of good old body-jackin' house music. "Shine On" divulges light touches of Benelux house from the mid-'90s that only reveal themselves as sonic silhouettes, rather than as obvious tributes. Motor City Drum Ensemble does remix duty, with an attention to detail and soul that will have some people reminiscing and others raving.

Artist: SCHUMACHER, THOMAS
Title: Slow
Label: GET PHYSICAL MUSIC (GERMANY)
Format: 12"
Price: $12.50
Catalog #: GPM 119EP
Thomas Schumacher has been on fire for the past 20 years, and so it continues with "Slow," a slowly-building, mild Balearic groove with a hypnotic vibe. Applying effects to the female vocal snippets while shuffling them forward and back against the groove indicates his ability to use simple effects towards intricate results. "NYC" uses percussive elements, a "tick, tick" clock sample, and the sound of speeding cabs to sonically evoke a bustling cityscape. These are one-two punches of DJ artillery.

Artist: LAZARUS, DAMIAN
Title: Memory Box/Spinnin'
Label: GET PHYSICAL MUSIC (GERMANY)
Format: 12"
Price: $12.50
Catalog #: GPM 120EP
This limited 12" consists of brand new club edits of two strange and enchanting stand-out tracks from Damian Lazarus' debut full-length Smoke The Monster Out. "Memory Box" is darkly humorous and has been re-tooled alongside studio engineer Kenneth James Gibson aka [a]pendics.shuffle. The original rave king Sasha takes on Lazarus' "Spinnin,'" looping and chopping the vocals -- courtesy of Lazarus and Taxi Taxi -- into trippy shrapnel. With its stripped-back rhythm and buzzing bass line, this track has real momentum.

Artist: MODESELEKTOR
Title: Art & Cash
Label: GET PHYSICAL MUSIC (GERMANY)
Format: 12"/DVD
Price: $12.50
Catalog #: GPM 121EP
Modeselektor's Art & Cash 12" features banging, sine-infused electro/techno party tracks, and also a bonus DVD containing the shocking and hilarious "behind the scenes documentary"/music video of a German art campaign. For years and under the watchful eyes of millions, did the "Fantastic Nobodies" -- exceptionally gifted art counterfeiters and weirdos from Brooklyn -- manage to sell themselves as renowned works of art, thus creating inexplicable damage. DVD video shot at Brot und Spiele Gallery, Berlin. Recorded live at Rex Club, Paris. Directed by Pfadfinderei. Limited edition.

Artist: SIOPIS
Title: Really Love Ya
Label: GET PHYSICAL MUSIC (GERMANY)
Format: 12"
Price: $12.50
Catalog #: GPM 122EP
Siopis is a reinvention of seasoned producer Silversurfer. "Really Love Ya" is a chunky, warped, vocal-driven rendition of tweaked techno. Inxec & Matt Tolfrey put some London love on their sleek and mellow remix, subtly applying all aspects of the original, but with a percussive new twist. "Under My Bed" is a sensual track that may make dancers think twice about what might be lurking around in the dark.
