In the early '90s, Khan moved with Jimi Tenor to New York, creating multiple 12"s and projects, i.e. Bizz O.D., El Turco Loco, 4E, Kid & Khan. The I'm Single debut 12" is comprised of exclusive remixes out of Khan's last studio album Who Never Rests on Tomlab. DJ Kaos famous for remixing !!! and Roxy Music has produced a German 'Kraut-trance' pop version of 'On The Run.' Fabian Stall, also known as Zero Cash (Television Rocks, Aggro Colgne), is represented with a flaming down-beat ballad of 'Favor After Favor.' Also, the techno snob Dirk Leyers presents a cryptic dark dance club track, 'You Like To Party?'"

"Chitin (C8H13O5N) is a long-chain polymer of a N-acetylglucosamine, a derivative of glucose, and it is found in many places throughout the natural world. It is the main component of the cell walls of fungi, the exoskeletons of arthropods, such as crustaceans (like the crab, lobster and shrimp) and the insects (including ants, beetles and butterflies) [Wikipedia]. Here's the second outing on I'm Single with a deep disco-rawk 12" in shiny black leather. Written & produced by Zero Cash (Television Rocks/Cologne) and Khan (Captain Comatose/I'm Single) who have teamed up before. After the smashing debut on IMS with 'Who Never Rests Remixed Vol.1' including the DJ favorite 'On The Run - Kaos Mix' and the pop jewel 'Favor After Favor' comes the appropriate follow up with 'Chitin Body.' "Mark Boombastik is a human beatbox since the age of 12. Born and raised in Hamburg, Germany, he now lives in Berlin. He has produced drums with his mouth for freaks such as: Fischmob, Felix Kubin, Angie Reed, Funkstoerung, Patric Catani and is currently the rhythm section for Khan Of Finland on various festivals across the globe. His debut on I'm Single Putzen (German for cleaning) shows that he is all but the usual hip-hop beatbox. Here's a side of his that will establish Mr. Boombastik on all glitter dancefloors with remixes by Nerk & Dirk Leyers which sound anything but 'clean' and T.Raumschmiere's new dark techno project Shrubbn meaning 'to scrub' in German and we thought that was more than appropriate for this challenging 3rd release on I'm Single Records."

The I'm Single label releases the eponymous debut CD from Berlin-based Khan of Finland. Centered around the figure of mega-producer Can "Khan" Oral (aka Captain Comatose), Khan Of Finland are a trio in the traditional sense of the word who make a sound that is anything but. Using just vocals, piano and a human beat-box, they play all-acoustic electronic blues, but also switch roles and improvise. The piano becomes a percussive instrument. The beat(box) melodic. The vocal full-blooded. From the blues to a howl. The sound veering from metal-heavy riffs to dubbed-out cabaret. These 9 songs were all recorded live at a defunct gas station in Berlin-Wedding with a few additional over-dubs recorded at various other spectacular locations such as St. Clara Church in Berlin-Neukoelln. Weirdly swank, electro-tinged, and decidedly energetic odes to loving life.

I'm Single presents a single by the disco troubadour Khan. "Candygirl" is Adam and Eve, Joseph Fritzl and Angela Merkel. She is German schlager-kitsch but epic, deep-disco-house. Zeki Muren meets David Hockney. DJ Kaos delivers a straight pumping, Chicago jacking-house mix and Japan's Ikuo digs deep into his '80s neon-frosted cookie box. Both sweet and driving. This spinning lollipop is accompanied by cover art from Italian artists Miro Mastropasqua and Onze.

Cosmic experimental music collective Big Robot released two albums with electronic pioneer Conrad Schnitzler (Tangerine Dream, Kluster). The group consists of Ollis Christensen, Per Sjøberg, Joakim Langeland and drummer Kjetil Manheim (original member of Mayhem). Reworked by Norwegian disco legend Björn Torske, "Coka Kohle" turned into a 13-minute space-dub orgy. Lovísa Elísabet Sigrúnardóttir aka Lay Low hooked up with Gluteus Maximus aka President Bongo and mixmaster extraordinaire Jack Schidt. Originally recorded and produced by Liam Watson, this is a psychedelic stomper.
