Artist: BURTON, LEE
Title: Busy Days For Fools
Label: KLIK RECORDS (GREECE)
Format: LP
Price: $16.50
Catalog #: KL 009LP
LP version. Lee Burton aka Liberto released his debut album Lullaby for Klik Records in 2006. His warm, deep tech-house sound received high praise in the Greek and international music press alongside the interest of some of the most important names in the electronic music scene. As a result, the following years were productive for Liberto, with releases, remixes and collaborations with labels such as Trapez, Plastic City, Material, Playmobil, Syndikaat and the co-foundation of the record label Material with Michael Safras. In 2009 he started releasing music under the name Lee Burton, making recordings for labels such as Orpheas, Material and Plastic City in addition to making appearances in festivals and clubs. In 2012, Lee Burton returns with his second album project, Busy Days For Fools. Burton manages to escape from the sound of Lullaby, creating a unique output that combines the sound of German electronica with a Greek temperament and a South American laid-back feeling. Busy Days For Fools is the stoner side of electronica. Lee Burton produced the album himself, spending a whole year in his personal studio using new production techniques and recordings such as various kinds of microphones, ranging from the classic condenser microphone, cell phone microphone and even the microphone from a VHS camera. Electronic sounds were created with vintage analog equipment but also with live recordings of noises using various objects as well as music instruments. The result is a warm, natural and analog-sounding album, drawing from influences from across the electronic scene and also pulling ideas from lo-fi rock, blues, folk, jazz and everyday life.

Artist: SCSI-9
Title: Metamorphosis
Label: KLIK RECORDS (GREECE)
Format: 2LP+CD
Price: $25.00
Catalog #: KL 010LP
Gatefold double LP version with free CD. SCSI-9 (Anton Kubikov and Maxim Miluytenko) present their fifth full-length release. SCSI-9 are by far the most recognizable and booked house/techno duo from Russia. With a total of more than 50 releases and 120 tracks so far on labels such as Traum/Trapez, Salo, Freizeitglauben, Morris Audio, Highgrade, Force Tracks, Tyrant and Kompakt, they have earned great respect worldwide and are famous for their eclectic and crystal-clear tech sound. Their "Mediterranean" touch made them stand out among the Russian electronic music community and gave them the role of the "New romantics" and the "Originators of the Russian Deep" according to worldwide press. Their Line Of Nine (KOMP 051CD/ KOM 138LP) album showed their pop touch in the new Russian deep house movement -- laidback, cheerful, melodic arrangements growing slowly into a groove. SCSI-9 continue their odyssey through the oceans of electronica, this time together with long-time friends at Klik Records. Inspired by the works of Jean-Luc Godard and Arthur Rimbaud, Anton and Maxim now steer their boat over deep and slow waters. Focusing on the sound that made them famous in the beginning, they experiment a lot with dub and dark ambient and step away from the pop-forms of their recent past. "Schaukel Duo" marks their new dubby statement, slowly evolving into the perfect companion for an early-morning drive. "Nostalgia" keeps a similar dubby tone, using a guitar to get you in summertime mood. "Song From The High Tower" and "I'm Lost" include vocals from singer Gregor Ladenhauf (Zanshin, Ogris Debris). "Alphaville" is deep house par excellence which includes vocal bits from Stylish Murphn morphed beyond recognition and samples of a duduk (a traditional Armenian pipe). The cover photos were contributed by Russian photographer Mikhail Rosanov, who shot them during a recent expedition to Antarctica. With Metamorphosis, SCSI-9 show a musical snapshot of today's reality and transmute real life with a totally new overall sound.

Artist: ION
Title: You & Me
Label: KLIK RECORDS (GREECE)
Format: CD
Price: $17.00
Catalog #: KL 052CD
Following his Klik Records No Camera album in 2005, Giannis Papaioannou aka ION is back with his new album You & Me. This album begins exactly where Papaioannou's previous project left things. And if No Camera was described by national and international press as "that kind of deep electronica no one expected to be born in Greece," then You & Me can only be referred to as the perfect sequel to a vision without frontiers. Giannis Papaioannou took the first steps of his lonesome endeavor back in the mid-'80s, already an electronica pioneer at a time when electro music was still misidentified with disco and few were the ones bold enough to listen to it, let alone create it. Papaioannou started off solely with his reel-to-reel recorder, his analog synthesizers and Brian Eno by his side, and soon enough, his sound became in full accord with anything significant that took place in the respective scenes of Berlin and Detroit. ION's electronica is the sort of music you may hear (and see!) when you close your eyes while being amidst the noisy downtown center of a metropolis; it's also the sound of a never-ending summer -- a grand sound-and-vision spectacle having no need for cinemascopic views or clearly distinguishable musical instruments in order to be released as an entirely different type of movie in the private theater of your own mind. ION's music has no trace of attitude, and his music excels most at soulful sentiments and soulful sounds.

Artist: DELTA, MIKAEL
Title: Tech Me Away
Label: KLIK RECORDS (GREECE)
Format: CD
Price: $17.00
Catalog #: KL 062CD
Greece's Mikaël Delta returns with a fourth project for Klik Records entitled Tech Me Away, focusing once more on his own unique electronica tech-house and techno paths with the sound of strings and wind instruments in groovy rhythms and atmospheres -- a journey filled with feelings and dreams merging into an industrial city landscape. It took him more than 3 years to complete this one and decide on its final musical genre. Mikaël feels very lucky that he had the chance to work with artists whom he admires and trusts. Etten is the voice of this project; however, in a mysterious way, her voice sounds like the listener's inner voice. Tech Me Away is an album made of sounds and references to good old techno. Mikaël didn't follow what's in fashion in music at all, he only followed his instinct. And as a creator, he never declined his share of responsibility to transform heartaches into a soft light sent from above.

Artist: NEMMO, CHRIS
Title: The Nautilus Project
Label: KLIK RECORDS (GREECE)
Format: CD
Price: $17.00
Catalog #: KL 063CD
After experimenting with different electronic dance genres and releasing material on several record labels worldwide, Greece's Chris Nemmo (aka Christos Panagiotopoulos) presents his second personal album, this time creating a nu-disco/funk amalgamation. The album consists of several different aspects of the scene, employing dirty, funky bass lines, nostalgic, vintage melodies and atmospheric vocals in an effort to simulate a warm analog perception of the disco groove and aesthetics. The Nautilus Project features 11 unreleased tracks of cosmic house, nu disco, funk and pop. Once more, the production quality is massive, providing great musical soundscapes, beautiful for the head and feet as well as plenty of solid grooves to offer DJs, and enough personality to make for a completely satisfying home listen. Featuring appearances by Etten, Thalia P., Ares Duke & Helena K. and Thommy Apergi.

Artist: CAYETANO
Title: Back Home
Label: KLIK RECORDS (GREECE)
Format: CD
Price: $17.00
Catalog #: KL 067CD
Klik Records welcomes a new artist to its roster -- a familiar music personality to the Greek and international electronic scene, Cayetano, with his third full-length album Back Home. After two releases on the Etage Noir label, one in collaboration with Loopa Scava, Cayetano is now recognized in the world of electronic music, standing shoulder-to-shoulder with his artist influences such as Bonobo, Peder and Quantic. Once more, Cayetano continues creating music in his own unique way, a blend of dubby, jazzy, Latin and trip-hop sounds which sees our protagonist surrounded once again by his long-time associates George Haritos playing trombone, Renos Psarras on trumpets, Jimmy Joanne on bass, Stephan Knuf on drums, DJ Booker on turntables, Akis Katsoupakis on Rhodes keyboards and finally the voice of Valia Athanasiadou. An academic musician but most of all a modern and conscious artist, Cayetano is not afraid to use the latest technology in order to create musical compositions based on his influences and life experiences. Today, sampling faces glorious days, so the proper use of it can be a great proof of the value and respect an artist pays towards the art he serves -- it's a way to bring together sounds from different backgrounds and cultures, creating a landmark musical result in today's world. Back Home provides ten different musical stories that Cayetano brings together as one unique whole. From the sparkling shimmer of "Glassleaves" to the scratched up funk of "K Blues" and the dub-inflected "Day After Day," to the otherworldly waltz of the closing "Left My Girl For A Bizarre Sextet," Cayetano's new musical journey is full of subtle twists and turns.

Artist: TSOTSONIS, SERAFIM
Title: Beautiful People
Label: KLIK RECORDS (GREECE)
Format: CD
Price: $17.00
Catalog #: KL 071CD
Since his first two personal album releases on Kilk Records, Serafim Tsotsonis has been developing into a talented musician. With the release of his brand-new album Beautiful People, the Greek artist takes a step further, presenting even more facets of his diverse talent with a work of exceptional polyphonic delights. Opening track "Red, Green, Blue," is a unique postmodern lullaby, where the serene atmosphere of a child's room is pierced with the sounds of an urban environment. An imposing performance by Zach soars together with a chorus comprised of Mikael Delta, Kid Moxie, Kiki, Antoneta Kotsi, Fay Depasta and Serafim himself. At the same time, Dimitri Vassilakis, one of the foremost recognized Greek wind musicians, adds further brushstrokes of sensitivity with his saxophone. The dubstep references in the intro of "So Good" are intertwined with the modern electronic sounds of Berlin and the saxophone of Dimitri Vassilakis comes in at the end, marking a shift that leads to an exploration of new sound structures, in which European metronomy meets neo-jazz. The most radio-friendly track of the album is "Far Away," a mutated Balearic rhythm interpreted unpredictably by the rock-tinged voice of Norwegian Sverre Olav Rødseth. "Catch The Cloud" is where the album really takes off -- a deep tech anthem for clubbers around the world. Zach's almost blues interpretation in "Alone In The Stars" proves the rare quality of his voice and ties harmoniously with the delicate sound of the musicians. Serafim and Kid Moxie follow with a relaxing, almost nonchalant folktronica track "Whistles In My Head" and as a natural succession, Jan Felipe's gentle voice on "Phantoms" dissolves into the ether as if it was created for those springtime mornings you wish would never end. On "Trees And Flowers," Zach and Kiki return for some additional intimate moments and then the deep techno infusion of "I Feel Home" jumps out of a Berlin sound studio infused by the creative spirit that prevails there day and night. With "Omnipresent," Serafim goes back to the dark nightclub, offering up a track for the hours where night gives way to the first light of day so that "Hunter" can follow next -- a cosmic, neopsychedelic storm for sci-fi journeys! The cosmic trip continues with "Memorial," which starts with sounds and voices to evolve into a virtual soundtrack of a lost-in-space road movie, strewn with galactic dust. "Sober" is as if a string quartet invaded the studio for an impromptu jam session, and is a true exhibition of the artist's rare talents in composition and instrumentation. Beautiful People has the potential to become a reference point in the development of Greek electronic music, as well as to establish the musician as a leader and innovator among his peers.

Artist: PADILLA, JOSE

Artist: MYERZ, RALPH
Title: Outrun
Label: KLIK RECORDS (GREECE)
Format: CD
Price: $17.00
Catalog #: KL 074CD
Ralph Myerz is one of the most active music personas of the Norwegian music scene. It was the year 1997 when Ralph asked people to play percussion with him during a party in Bergen, Norway. The Jack Herren Band showed up through a combination of mutual contacts and high-school friendship. Supposedly a one-time-event, they had so much fun playing together that they decided to form a band, and Ralph Myerz & The Jack Herren Band was formed. The band released a 7" and a 12" on Telle Records which was followed by great reviews from magazines and DJs around Europe, including Dimitri From Paris, who included the track "Nikita" on one of his Playboy Mansion compilations. In 2002, they were signed by the U.S. label Emperor Norton Records, and they released A Special EP. The album A Special Album followed one-year later, featuring the tracks "Casino" and "Think Twice," which both became hits in clubs across Europe, and commercial hits in Norway. Gold records & Norwegian Grammy nominations were happily celebrated. In 2005, the album Your New Best Friends followed, which received massive reviews in Europe. His third album Sharp Knives & Loaded Guns came out on EMI in 2007 followed by touring all over Europe playing festivals such as Glastonbury, Montreal Jazz festival and many more. So after this album and especially this tour, Ralph Myerz decided to focus more on production and studio work. In 2009, Ralph dropped his first solo album with guests like Devin The Dude, Kurupt, Talib Kweli and Christine Sandtorv named Ralphorama! Staying in Los Angeles for many months and working closely with people like Dogg Pound led to many connections in the U.S. hip-hop world, including collaborations with legends such as Snoop Dogg and George Clinton, amongst many others. Meanwhile, during his stay there, he started working on a new album called Outrun. Armed with synthesizers and wine, he worked for a year on it and then he moved to the Bay Area in order to finish the recordings. Somehow the cosmic winds took him to Klik Records of Athens, Greece. Sharing a true passion for good space music, they decided to work together. Driving around in California inspired Outrun to be an album for those late-night rides while listening to music. Sixteen new tracks of good-vibed, spaced-out, phased-out, dub-disco, late-nite muzik with that special Ralph Myerz sound.

Artist: SIOPIS
Title: Ausländer
Label: KLIK RECORDS (GREECE)
Format: CD
Price: $17.00
Catalog #: KL 076CD
"We Are All Children Of The Earth And Immigrants -- Ausländer" -- this was one of the concepts Siopis had in mind at the beginning of his new project Ausländer, a mix compilation for Klik Records. Officially an immigrant himself, he is the person behind the Silversurfer alliance that conquered the dancefloors with his raw and dark tunes. Leaving Greece and settling into the electronic music metropolis (Berlin, of course), Siopis showed his great skills from the very first moment. Being the producer behind the anthem "Welcome To Berlin," besides stating a real situation that actually happened (becoming an immigrant, that is) also showed him the path to success. Artist and label co-operations with Kiki, BPitch Control and Playhouse followed. International club icons from the likes of The End, Souvenir, The Firm, and many more established Siopis as one of the most wanted underground DJs, live acts and producers worldwide. His "childish" dream of evaporating borders and uniting the world through music started looking possible each time he conquered the dancefloors. Siopis is signed and successfully releasing music on Get Physical Records. His new sound and image make-over keeps him at the decks, busy with remix requests from Jessie Rose to Chris Duckenfield. His Greek touch on the German-oriented electronic music tracks creates a unique and warm atmosphere, making everyone feel right at home. Thirteen hand-picked tracks, including the exclusive, unreleased tracks by David Kassi, Alex Dimou (Siopis Remix) and Siopis' "You Are So Kool." A guaranteed hourly trip around the globe with no borders. Other artists include: Atavism, Creg Paulus, Pillowtalk, Crazy P, Life And Death, Delete, Fur Coat, Derek Martin, Tanner Ross & Soul Clap, Deniz Kurtel, Kid Bliss, Iz & Diz, Justin Martin and Toby Tobias.

Artist: DIMOU, ALEX
Title: Halemweg
Label: KLIK RECORDS (GREECE)
Format: CD
Price: $17.00
Catalog #: KL 080CD
Back in 2007, a track titled "Mini Man" was released by an 18 year-old artist named Alex Dimou. The title might have been the best one to describe the person behind the track -- the mini-man, a kid with a passion and will to demand a place in the grown-up's world. And he made it. In 2009 his first full-length album was released through Klik Records -- One of Us, One of Them was the complete package for lovers of electronic music. From its clubby moments, cinematic trips and indie aesthetics, everything told a story in the most beautiful and tidy way, especially considering his young age. His career from then on could be nothing less than upward. Having a total feel for electronic music's trends, his remixes and edits always manage to be up-to-date and always place in the playlists of the world's best DJs. With appearances from Berlin to Cairo to the Ministry of Sound's main room and WMC's closing party in Miami on a weekly schedule, to releases on Plastic City, Parquet Recordings, Mangali, Funk Farm, Rhythmetic, Kitsuné, Quantized Music, and Elite Records establish Alex Dimou among the world's best producers. Influenced by his Berlin days and from everything that happened after his first release, Halemweg carries the air and rhythm of the cities where it was written, the energy of those that he worked with, the intensity of the parties and the loneliness of travel. Halemweg has clear house roots. Alex Dimou alternates the sound of Chicago and Detroit, offering a European touch and evoking a dark, awe-inspiring atmosphere. He brings back nu disco's lost glamour in a new form that will sneak into the club's speakers not just for a night, but for years. Features an appearance on two tracks from Lee Burton.
