STUMM 303LP
Deluxe 2009 remaster, originally released 1974. "Kraftwerk have digitally remastered their Kling Klang masters with the latest studio technology -- these magnificent recordings sound like nothing else in the history of music. Limited edition, European-pressed, heavyweight vinyl LPs featuring large format booklets. An epic ode to the joys of highway travel,
Autobahn
wraps a mesmerizing beat around a sampled collage of car horns, engine noise, whirring tires and radio crackle so infectious that US pop press at the time declared that Kraftwerk's music does for driving what the Beach Boys had done for surfing! The impact of this album is so strong that
Spin
magazine included it in their list of the 15 most influential albums not recorded by 'The Beatles, Bob Dylan, Elvis or the Rolling Stones.'" The deluxe packaging on these Kraftwerk reissues -- beautiful printed inner sleeves with alternate covers, immaculate large booklets of breathtaking photographs -- all of it will bring tears to your eyes.

STUMM 304LP
Deluxe 2009 remaster, originally released 1975. "An innovative, all-electronic communication concept album that surfs sine waves and scans the stratosphere for stray radio signals while broadcasting majestic music for a modern world where factories and power stations are the new cathedrals. At the time,
Trouser Press
magazine noted that the album marked an important step in Kraftwerk's artistic progress, converting the band into 'ultramodern sonic engineers.'"

STUMM 305LP
Dexlue 2009 remaster, originally released 1977. "On
Trans Europe Express
Kraftwerk celebrates a romantic, retro future of shimmering elegance and glistening decadence where travel and technology merge across infinite sonic vistas. This milestone in avant-pop modernism later became a crucial influence on the early pioneers of hip-hop & sampling, electro and industrial music.
'With
Trans Europe Express
, they set out to reinvent a different legend: that of Europa itself, in the process they changed pop music forever.'

Format:
LP
Price:
$21.00
Catalog #:
STUMM 306LP
2009 remaster, originally released 1978. "A bold new look, sound and concept as Kraftwerk fully realize their clever use of melody and technology over supple procesed rhythms predating the rise of European techno and trance.
Man Machine
is so stunningly ahead of its time that 'The model' became a surprise UK #1 chart-topper three years after the album's initial release.
'The album has 'classic' stamped all over it... in time it would acquire the same ageless quality as The Beatles'
Sgt. Pepper
or The Beach Boys'
Pet Sounds
...'

STUMM 310LP
Deluxe 2009 remaster, originally released 2003; double LP. "The centenary of the
Tour De France
marks the conceptual starting line for Kraftwerk's first album in over a decade. From the chunky cyber-funk of 'Vitamin' to the restless metallic shimmers of Aero Dynamik,' this is emphatically the sound of 21st century techno visionaries.
'Displays more intellectual rigor, subtle discipline and attention to detail than many of their younger contemporaries can ever dream of attaining.'

Expo Remix

Price:

EMI 8896122
Remixes of the acclaimed 1999 comeback single, "Expo 2000". Tracklisting: 1. Orbital Mix 2. Francois K & Rob Rives Mix 3. DJ Rolando Mix 4. Underground Resistance Mix 5. UR Infiltrated Mix 6. UR Thought 3 Mix. The Orbital mix is a functional track, but the most glossed over mix here. Kevorkian's mix is deep and electro-influenced. But having 4 UR remixes on a Kraftwerk single is what really puts this into the stratosphere. Adding "Jaguar" style splashes and a riveting new vocal line ("They Soul Electric: Detroit...They Soul Electric: Germany"), DJ Rolando's mix is flat out stunning and might take on "Jaguar"-like proportions itself in 2001. Thanks to Florian and Ralf for all the excitement.
