"The Norwegian ethno-singer Mari Boine has been around for over 20 years, incl. 8 CD releases and already one remix album in 2001. She now got introduced to Henrik Schwarz at her recent gig in Berlin and it happened that he did a remix of one of her recent songs. An 11 min masterpiece featuring her fabulous, mysterious voice over his clever epic production. A percussive sequencing loop builds & builds with bass and synth dropping in unison, strings, breakdown, percussive synth interlude (yes it's all there!) and off we go into outer space. Big ups from Dixon, Ame, Dirk Rumpf/offtrack, Mixed Moods and many on this track already came in. Kohib on the flip is a Norwegian producer working the afterhour chillout field with great trumpet play like Nils Petter Molvaer. What a great combination for a record. Mastered & cut by Dubplates & Mastering Berlin, this 12" sounds brilliant evan on shitty systems."
