"With this remix project, Liebe*Detail starts its sub label Liebe*Detail Spezial. It will be a platform for both remixes from the back catalogue, as well as for proper EPs by single artists and projects. The debut comes in the form of part 1 of a series of remixes for Move D's stunning 'Anne Will.' A second part will be released in March 2007. Barcelona-based Vincenzo clearly is inspired by the original's simplicity. But instead of focusing on the laid back deepness, he strips down the track even more and stresses a challenging straightforwardness. He turns 'Anne Will' into a fully electronic house track whose sequences mill deep into the mix. Hypnotic! Lawrence has been, is and will always be a true house lover. Compared to a lot of his own productions, his remix is less contorted and introverted. He arranges his mix around a simple, driving house chord, giving it a wonderful old school vibe. When a subtle chime loop fades in, the track eventually starts to float in a very typical Lawrence way. London-based Argy surprises with disarming directness. His own productions often display an array of disparate rhythmic elements that mysteriously interlock and eventually create a groove. Here, he just keeps it simple and focuses on one chord that keeps looping all the way through his remix. By adding an organ theme, Argy turns this track into a modern piece of dance music, which at the same time is reminiscent of the good old days."

With remixes by My My, Jackmate & Denis Karimani. "The second installment of the Liebe*Detail Spezial series comes in the form of more remixes of one of their signature tracks, Move D's 'Anne Will.' After the first part with remixes by Lawrence, Argy and Vincenzo more or less focused on the house aspects of the original, this part emphasizes the techno side of things. Prolific producer Denis Karimani from Hamburg turns 'Anne Will' into a minimal, thumping bass affair, that just keeps building up and up until a soaring heavy synth riff lifts it even more up and takes the mix through the roof. This is clearly the most peaktime oriented mix. Jackmate: Michel Baumann (aka Soul Phiction aka part of Mandmade Science and owner of the Philpot label) from Stuttgart sticks to the loopy and hypnotic formula of Move D's original. But instead of keeping it house for late nights, he strips the track down to its rhythmic backbone, making it bump and grind reminiscent of the minimal grooves of Chicago House. Production team My My from Berlin tackle their remix a little differently. They heavily concentrate on syncopated rhythms, providing 'Anne Will' with sort of a Latin feel."

"After Liebe Detail Spezial has been launched very successfully with a series of Move D remixes, the label now presents its first proper artist EP. It is coming from Greek producer Argy, who already made himself known through various releases on Poker Flat. '1985' on the A side generously spreads an old school vibe by using massive organ stabs. At the same time it couldn't sound less modern. '1985' is a wonderfully driving, up to date house hit. On the flip Jerome Sydenham does what he does best with his remix. He manages to stay close to the original, yet streamlining it into one of his very hypnotic and powerful dubbed out jams. Argy then finishes the EP off with a track simply called 'Tool' where he focuses on a massive percussive groove floating through gloomy, spaced out atmospheres."

"Alexander Geiger, Cologne-based pop lover, Firm head honcho and most recently DJ T's new producer, is Nass. Under this moniker he explores a very reduced, track-y aesthetic, confining himself to the absolutely necessary and a layering technique derived from Wild Pitch. Accordingly, his remix starts with a spare thumping beat which slowly starts spinning towards a climax which adds a piercingly psychotic note to the dreamy chimes of the original, making for a light striking, frictional contrast heating up dancefloors all over. Leipzig-based Daniel Stefanik, best known for his work on labels such as Moon Harbour and Cargo Edition, seizes Lawrence's deep, atmospheric suggestion in a congenial way by transferring it into moody, dubby realms. He proceeds in such a wonderfully subtle manner, you hardly notice the almost 10 minutes of his remix passing by. It is most remarkable how he manages to pair a very serious psychedelic atmosphere with a soft airiness. This track is down-to-earth and reaches for the stars at the same time,"

"Tiger Stripes -- 'Hooked' (Guy Gerber Remix) Israel's finest export Mr. Gerber deals out a sharp techno weapon here with its FX-heavy booty-shaking remix. A heavy and infectious groove is at the center of this bizarre extra-terrestrial tale of jacking rhythms and night-time abandon, complete with ecstatic builds and tripped-out vocal FX. 'Bring the hook in!' Man of the deepest moment, Solomun has crafted a super deep version from Tiger Stripes' original hit. A bouncing, bassline-led groove leads an atmospheric string ensemble into a dramatic and yet casually swung out story. Solomun's trademark arrangement skills are on display and his careful and respectful use of the original parts is warming to say the least."

"Hamburg's beloved Liebe*Detail label has ushered some of today's most sought-after names into the spotlights of the world's best dancefloors. One such artist who is currently rising up the ranks is young Matthias Meyer. A strong member of the Liebe*Detail family and a regular on the German underground scene, his first two releases with the label explored extravagant and dramatic realms to great success. Now, following his recent hit
Tout Va Bien
, highly praised across the board for its warming, building sentiments, Matthias joins forces in the studio with compadre Patlac, another promising new producer also from his home town of Lüneburg. Free-flowing and full of endless atmosphere, 'Skipper' begins with warmth and rolling atmosphere, tracking over itself with texture and color. A complex undergrowth of static hisses and rich organic percussion build towards long and teasing breaks in the bass energy. The pair's use of deep house stabs and long, drifting ethnic string phrases lifts the track high into the rafters, creating the perfect late night trip into another place. Fluid and full of dynamics, musicality and love, 'Skipper' is already proving its worth. Mannheim's Cecille Record's boss Nick Curly has passionately raised the bar for the label's deep-house-come-minimal sound, and now proves his remixing skills here with solid functionality. Chunky, room-filling drums roll over and over while the key stabs from 'Salt City' are satisfyingly thrown to the floor."
