Title: Catch A Singing Bird On The Road
Label: LONG HAIR (GERMANY)
Format: CD
Price: $18.00
Catalog #: LHC 009CD
"The second album recorded in 1973 by this great German band contains a very cool laid back sound with complex arrangements. The style of the compositions is leaned towards Country Westcoast Rock. The home recorded version 'The Dark Lord' (bonus track) recited by the famous Austrian poet wordsmith H. C. Artman, (Lord of the Rings poet), sophisticated compositions with intelligent lyrics, great mellotron on 'Humphrey Bogart', and fine guitar work (acoustic and electric)."

Artist: BLAST FURNACE
Title: Blast Furnace
Label: LONG HAIR (GERMANY)
Format: CD
Price: $18.00
Catalog #: LHC 010CD
"Danish heavy progressive rock masterpiece recorded in 1971 and released on Polydor -- for the first time reissued on CD. Recordings were taken from the original mastertapes (perfect sound)! Brilliant songwriting in the tradition of Jethro Tull, Pretty Things and The Beatles (during their fertile period from 1968-70). But more uncommercial for the bride public, because of very intense instrumental breaks, heavy acid guitar flashes, hammond organ, flute, wild and tough vocals. Later almost the complete band joined Culpeppers Orchard. Contains one bonus track and a detailed bio. One of the best European heavy progressive albums."

Artist: MY SOLID GROUND

Bonus: A complete album recorded in 2001 by bandleader and guitar player Bernhard Rendel with a scope reaching from space rock and lyrical elements to floating psychedelic sounds. Resourceful and innovative: My Solid Ground 2001. Informative 12 page booklet cool photos -- 66 minutes."

Title: Rathbone Hotel
Label: LONG HAIR (GERMANY)
Format: CD
Price: $18.00
Catalog #: LHC 012CD
"Third album from 1976 of brilliant German band in the tradion of Beatles, Byrds and Eagles. 12 catchy songs with remarkable hook lines produced by David Hitchcock (early Genesis, Caravan etc.) and recorded in London CBS-Studio. 'Suicide Road' in a vocal version of the main theme from Wim Wenders movie In the Course of time of which the Soundtrack was composed by Improved Sound Limited. 'If I could read her Mind' is definitely one of the best ballads we ever heard. Great informative booklet with support of the band."

Artist: MADE IN GERMANY
Title: Made In Germany
Label: LONG HAIR (GERMANY)
Format: CD
Price: $18.00
Catalog #: LHC 013CD
"First Reissue of amazing German Band who released one totally underrated album in 1971 on Metronome (same series as: Birthcontrol, Zarathustra, I Drive, Professor Wolff...) and one 45 record on BASF. This is one of the Top 5 Krautrock releases -- sometimes in the veins of heavy American Psychedelic Rock with killer fuzz leads and otherwise progressive, organ driven typical Krautrock with classical touch, acidy flute, crazy and creative long cuts, by well educated musicians. 7 of the 9 album tracks are outstanding -- a kind of Progressive Hard Rock/Psychedelic version of Shocking Blue -- the German 'Music Emporium'! Highly recommended not just for Krautrock freaks -- really a big surprise. Bonus tracks from 73/74 go into mellow pop-rock. Detailed bio + photos."

Artist: ALCATRAZZ
Title: Vampire State Building
Label: LONG HAIR (GERMANY)
Format: CD
Price: $18.00
Catalog #: LHC 014CD
"First CD reissue of progressive Krautrock album originally released on Phillips, titled Vampire State Building the quintet Alcatraz from Hamburg presented a pleasant and mainly instrumental progressive and experimental jazz-rock sound, with instant recognisable elements from Miles Davis' In A Silent Way and early King Crimson albums. Most successful was the 12 minute track 'Simple Headphone Mind'. The 13 minute title track was a long improvisation. The album was recorded in Tonstudio Wumme, where Faust and Slapp Happy also recorded albums, all engineered by Kurt Graupner. From the master tapes with bio and photos."

Artist: SITTING BULL
Title: Trip Away
Label: LONG HAIR (GERMANY)
Format: CD
Price: $18.00
Catalog #: LHC 015CD
"Originally released on CBS in 1971, and now for the first time on CD. These 4 guys from Bremen (Northern Germany) played with US West coast feel in some ways comparable to Quicksilver, but with the unique Kraut flavour. Electric and acoustic guitars with occasional keyboards dominate the jamming sound. Outstanding is the title track Trip Away -- really a good commitment, that will be hold within the 11 mins! From the masters and informative booklet."

Artist: LIFE
Title: Spring
Label: LONG HAIR (GERMANY)
Format: CD
Price: $18.00
Catalog #: LHC 016CD
"Original album was released on German CBS 1971, produced by Julius Schittenhelm (worked also for OHR Records). Two of the musicians were American Germans, the other 2 guys came from Munich. They sound between jamming West coast and raw Krautrock, with a bit of Edgar Boughton. Spacey flute, trippy guitars and very mystical long tracks -- a great experience with an unknown album on a high level of proficiency. Informative booklet and 3 bonus tracks (59 mins)."

Artist: IMPROVED SOUND LIMITED
Title: Road Trax
Label: LONG HAIR (GERMANY)
Format: CD
Price: $18.00
Catalog #: LHC 017CD
"The previous three Improved Sound Limited CDs (LHC 7, 9 and 12) were re-releases of vinyl albums, Road Trax is a genuine first release of Improved Sound Limited music from three films. While the previous CDs contained predominantly songs of the band, 39 of them, here we find different musical forms: mostly instrumentals, fragments and 'songs without words'. Why is this album called Road Trax? Simply because the music is about being on the road, or at least it conveys a very mobile feeling. Acoustically, the music reflects the feeling of being on the move. It is a companion for long journeys, whether with the film camera or in a car. Moving at a slow pace, it portrays long and wide spaces, breathes melancholy, distance and boundlessness."

Artist: COUPLA PROG
Title: Death Is A Great Gambler...
Label: LONG HAIR (GERMANY)
Format: CD
Price: $18.00
Catalog #: LHC 019CD
"This CD rounds off the SWF produced Coupla Prog trilogy. With the new line-up, Coupla Prog recorded four outstanding tracks -- extreme professional and intelligent arrangements. The wide spectrum goes from slow, melancholic over trippy, experimental instrumental parts to marching drums with heavy wah-wah guitars and pounding organ. An outstanding track on the CD is the 18 minute title track 'Death Is A Great Gambler ...', a true emotive and hypnotic masterpiece of German psychedelic underground rock dedicated to Rolf Peters. Also included a highly individual interpretation of Donovan's 'Season Of The Witch' and 'Your Time Has Come', an early version of 'Pamphlet To Mr. M. Thompson' which appears on Coupla Prog's rock opera Edmundo Lopez. They combined virtuosity and creativity in a unique way -- sometimes reminding to other German likes as Gila, Amon Duul and Eloy´s 'Inside', a must not just for Krautrock fans."

Artist: MR ALBERT SHOW
Title: Mr Albert Show
Label: LONG HAIR (GERMANY)
Format: CD
Price: $18.00
Catalog #: LHC 021CD
"First album (1970) of underrated Dutch band. A powerful collection of freaky, powerful progressive rock tracks with psychedelic leanings, dominated by composer, vocalist flute and sax player Bertus Borgers. Their music style was quite original and reminds sometimes to early Colosseum with frenetic sax and fuzz guitar riffing; also good use of organ and electric piano. A well done album which should have a wider audience. Informative booklet with band history by Bertus Borgers. From the masters."

Artist: MR ALBERT SHOW
Title: Warm Motor
Label: LONG HAIR (GERMANY)
Format: CD
Price: $18.00
Catalog #: LHC 022CD
"The second album of the Dutch band Mr. Albert Show from 1971 Warm Motor was a worldwide release. The US-Version had a different cover and was named Dutch Treat. This album is more on the trippy side than the first one, spheric organ, flute/sax, and great guitar work . The 6 tracks show the bands outstanding talent for progressive rock music with trippy jazz elements but also straight Hardrock. Music ranges from Golden Earring, King Crimson, Colosseum style over to several Krautrock bands. Also included 5 great non-album 45´ tracks and outtakes + photos."

Price: $20.00
Catalog #: LHC 026CD
"Originally released in 1971 on Philips. This solely album of Hamburg's six piece is a crossover of progressive- and jazz rock, notably with influences as wide-ranging as Blodwyn Pig (two covers as bonus tracks) and Curved Air. Long jammings by highly talented musicians, all blending into an unique sound with the distinct spirit of krautrock. Artist: MAXWELLS
Title: Maxwells Street
Label: LONG HAIR (GERMANY)
Format: CD
Price: $20.00
Catalog #: LHC 028CD
"Originally released 1969 on MPS Records Germany -- which became world famous for Dave Pike´s Noisy Silence Gentle Noise released in the same era. This is a true jewel for all progressive music enthusiasts. Ahead of its time the album is an eclectic mixture of Beat, Psychedelia and lysergic Trip Jazz. The album is compared with the similarly styled debut of Burnin' Red Ivanhoe. 14 Minutes title song 'Maxwells Street' sounds like a continuation of the Rolling Stones' 'Their Satanic Majesty's Requests'. Lars Bisgaard and Bent Hesselmann later played with Rainbow Band. Comes with bonus tracks, digitally remastered from the original tapes and with informative booklet."

Artist: RUFUS ZUPHALL
Title: Weiss der Teufel
Label: LONG HAIR (GERMANY)
Format: CD
Price: $24.00
Catalog #: LHC 029CD
Repressed! "The first album Weiss der Teufel (1971) has gradually gained legendary status and is definitely one of the best early 70´s album from Germany. All tracks were recorded live in the studio, resulting in a raw and unpolished sound. The side-long title track developed into a twisted and frenetic flute solo guiding the way on this trip. Some people regard this track as one of the finest moments of German rock. Weiss der Teufel sung in English, is typifying the raw-edged, largely instrumental early progressive hardrock. Here it comes with original album sleeve cover art, informative booklet in known Long Hair-tradition and with lots of bonus tracks (over 70 minutes ). A must, not just for Krautrock freaks."

Artist: RUFUS ZUPHALL

Title: Avalon And On
Label: LONG HAIR (GERMANY)
Format: CD
Price: $19.00
Catalog #: LHC 031CD
"This is 3rd Rufus Zuphall album, previously unreleased on CD. It contains material from the 3rd album, planned in 1972 to be released. But before a record deal took place the band disbanded. The tracks were released as a part of a 4 LP box by Little Wing in 1989. The music is more in the vein of 'Phallobst'. Two long tracks (over 12 minutes) and some more song oriented stuff show once more the great talent of Rufus Zuphall. Also this CD has lots of bonus tracks and an informative booklet." 'All experienced progressive rock collectors will know about this excellent group from Aachen, which can arguably be dubbed the German Jethro Tull.' (Dag Erik Asbjornsen).

Artist: THE BLACKBIRDS
Title: No Destination
Label: LONG HAIR (GERMANY)
Format: CD
Price: $21.00
Catalog #: LHC 038CD
"Originally released on UK-label Saga in 1968 this first album of southwest German band The Blackbirds consists of psychedelic beat/pop music with a touch of the Mothers of Invention-type satire and some progressive touches. Strong vocals by singer and guitar player Werner Breinig and some interesting Hammond organ work by Hubert Koop are characteristic of the group's music which proves a great talent of specific song writing. Comes with two bonus tracks ('Lead in Light'/'Sherry Baby') and extensive booklet."

Artist: THE BLACKBIRDS
Title: A Touch of Music
Label: LONG HAIR (GERMANY)
Format: CD
Price: $21.00
Catalog #: LHC 039CD
"Second album, originally released in 1971 with a complete new line-up -- with the exception of singer and guitar player Werner Breinig who now played violin and flute as well -- and a complete new style of music. They adopted a nice, poetic and classical (not symphonic) influenced progressive style with long tracks. There was also room for some more powerful passages in between, characteristic of the early seventies progressive music we all have learned to love. Both The Blackbirds albums are very rare. So take the chance to enjoy two extraordinary albums for the first on CD, and the detailed booklet plus two bonus tracks. A Krautrock classic."

Artist: KOLLEKTIV
Title: Live 1973
Label: LONG HAIR (GERMANY)
Format: CD
Price: $21.00
Catalog #: LHC 040CD
"Extraordinary German band well known because of their legendary album on famous special Krautrock label 'Brain' in the early '70s. The CD features five long tracks in excellent sound quality directly taken from the soundboard and digitally remastered. 'Rapunzel' a previously unreleased track, fifteen hypnotic minutes of 'Subo,' a 24- minute adrenalin-driven version of 'Rambo Zambo,' 'Försterlied' and 'Gageg' (excerpt) show one more time the great talent of this unique band. Besides their great music comprehensive liner notes by founder member Klaus Dapper and a lot of photos make this CD a must for all Krautrock addicts -- this is probably 'the' early '70s Krautrock release of the year -- first time released."

Artist: SINGING END, THE
Title: Listen To the Music!
Label: LONG HAIR (GERMANY)
Format: CD
Price: $19.00
Catalog #: LHC 041CD
"Originally released in the beginning of 1971 this extremely rare and terrific album is now available for the first time on CD. The six lads from Cologne/Germany played a fine sort of pop music with psychedelic freak-beat influences similar to the groups on the Great British Psychedelic Trip, Vol. 1-3 Compilations. Gentle melodies, excellent harmony vocals and rich instrumentation (including fuzz-guitar, flute, organ and occasionally orchestrations) show the musicians great talent and remind to the wonderful late sixties. After The Singing End called it a day, a few members founded Tanned Leather and recorded two albums and a few 7" on the famous Harvest Label. In the late seventies bandleader and composer Rainer Pietsch did arrangements for Queen and ELO. The CD contains the first non-LP 7" as bonus tracks and comes with comprehensive booklet. A very interesting album with sounds from the pre-Krautrock era drifting partly into it."

Artist: AERA
Title: Humanum Est
Label: LONG HAIR (GERMANY)
Format: LP
Price: $31.00
Catalog #: LHC 043LP
"Great first album of near Nuremberg (Bavaria, Germany) based band re-released on vinyl for the first time. After he left famous 'Ihre Kinder,' guitarist Muck Groh looked for new musicians to play his idea of German progressive rock. With sax- and flute player Klaus Kreuzeder he found, after a lot of changing line-ups, a congenial partner to create a sound not only in the tradition of Bavaria jazz-rock oriented bands like Embryo, Out of Focus, Missus Beastly etc. but also with that certain Krautrock feel, that led the music to an unique style, originating as a highly inventive fusion band with strong percussion, driving rhythms and lots of space for solos from guitar, sax and flute ('Crack in the cosmic egg'). Humanum Est presented a most proficient instrumental band with a strong identity with multi-tracked guitar-riffing and near ever-present wind solos, a real classic of the genre. Long tracks like 'Papa Doing,' 'Demmerawang,' 'Hodibbel,' or 'Sechs-Achtel' give an idea what the musicians were able to do. While their live-performances -- they toured nearly all the time -- they often played hour long versions of their classics to their enthusiastic affiliates (comparable to KRAAN). Remastered from original tape, comes with insert (bandstory/photos). A must have. Limited 500 copies."

Artist: AERA
Title: Hand Und Fuss
Label: LONG HAIR (GERMANY)
Format: LP
Price: $31.00
Catalog #: LHC 044LP
"Second album of this great German band for the first time re-released on vinyl. The line-up had a little bit changed. Drummer Wolfgang Teske was replaced by Lucky Schmidt (of Wind fame) and due to the addition of violin player Christoph Krieger the sound was a touch more varied but mostly in the vein of Humanum Est. Again great melodies, driving rhythms and lots of space for solos from guitar, sax and flute and in addition from violin. Long tracks like their classics 'Mechelwind' and 'Elephen Elephants' show the bands' impressive ability to create atmosphere, passion and force. Absolutely great stuff. Remastered from the original tape, Comes with 4 page insert. A must have. Limited 500 copies."

Artist: FASHION PINK
Title: Encore SWR Vol. 8
Label: LONG HAIR (GERMANY)
Format: CD
Price: $20.00
Catalog #: LHC 045CD
"This second Long Hair release by Fashion Pink contains previously unreleased studio recordings made between 1969-1971 + 2 live tracks. First part of this release (6 cuts) continues the SWR-Radio Sessions, truly reflecting the Krautrock jam-characteristics, second part (9 cuts) is the lost studio album from 1971 (never officially released). The group was formed in 1968 by Roland Schaeffer (sax., guit., bass, vibes and voc.) who today he plays with Guru Guru. Music presents a large variety of styles combined with each other, mainly freaked-out rock with several atmospheric progressive elements and classical, jazzy themes. These five music enthusiasts are well trained on their instruments and developed with the typical Krautrock vocals a heavy, complex organ and guitar driven sound, sometimes very psychedelic like Pink Floyd as in the tune 'Peeling Beans' and remind also of bands as Embryo, Mothers of Invention, Soft Machine, Caravan.... Contains some fine cover versions amongst others 'Dharma For One' (11:00 minutes), 'I'm a Man'. Another chapter with unreleased original Krautrock (total playing time 75 minutes, 12 p. booklet) -- it continues the sound by the legendary German labels, such as Brain, Pilz and Ohr!"

Artist: B.B. BLUNDER
Title: Worker's Playtime
Label: LONG HAIR (GERMANY)
Format: CD
Price: $21.00
Catalog #: LHC 046CD
"Often regarded as Blossom Toes 3rd LP, this is the most underrated album of the early '70s (1971). So, it was not really a surprise, that the first re-release of the album on vinyl (on Decal) in 1989 was credited to Blossom Toes '70. Brian Godding, Brian Belshaw and Kevin Westlake showed again their great talent to create songs beside the mainstream but always melodious and with clever lyrics. Great guitar work by Brian Godding and impressive vocals dominate the music. A lot of guest musicians supported the band, among others: Julie Driscoll, Mick Taylor. Released for the first time on CD, the album was digitally remastered and appears in a brilliant sound. It also comes with a comprehensive booklet including full band story, lyrics and photos never seen before, plus two bonus tracks."

Artist: BECK, JOE
Title: Nature Boy
Label: LONG HAIR (GERMANY)
Format: CD
Price: $20.00
Catalog #: LHC 047CD
"Originally released in 1969 on Verve, this is a truly lost jewel, released for the first time on CD. Joe Beck, one of the most famous jazz guitar players, recorded this album with fellow Donald MacDonald on drums and among guest musicians is Danny Whitten, guitar player of Crazy Horse before they worked together with Neil Young. On this album Beck, influenced by Eric Clapton and Jimi Hendrix, created a song-oriented psychedelic rock style with slight jazz influences showing his remarkable guitar skills, including some fine wah-wah treatments."

Artist: SABICAS
Title: Rock Encounter With Joe Beck
Label: LONG HAIR (GERMANY)
Format: CD
Price: $20.00
Catalog #: LHC 048CD
"This album shows a fantastic mixture of authentic traditional flamenco, progressive and psychedelic rock by Spanish legend Sabicas and extraordinary electric jazzrock guitar by Joe Beck with congenial backing band among others Donald MacDonald on drums, Warren Bernhardt organ and Tony Levin on bass. This is an album for those who are willing to look over the edges of their progressive and psychedelic horizon. Great guitar playing (lots of electric and acoustic guitars) all over. Unique and hypnotizing! Originally released in 1970 and for the first time on CD. Digitally remastered from the mastertape. One of the best Longhair-releases."

Artist: RUFUS ZUPHALL

Catalog #: LHC 049LP
Previously reissued on CD, now available on LP. "The first album Weiss der Teufel (1971) has gradually gained legendary status and is definitely one of the best early '70s albums from Germany. Some people regard this track as one of the finest moments of German rock. Weiss der Teufel sung in English, typifies the raw-edged, largely instrumental early progressive hardrock. Artist: DAVISON, BRIAN
Title: Every Which Way
Label: LONG HAIR (GERMANY)
Format: CD
Price: $21.00
Catalog #: LHC 051CD
"After The Nice Hat split at the end of 1969, drummer Brian Davison founded his own band, Every Which Way in spring 1970. Beside Brian Davison, singer Graham Bell (Skip Bifferty, Ball & Arc) mainly characterized the band's music. They played a rather meditative and hypnotized sound with strong vocals and fine guitar and sax playing. The one and only album of the band, originally released in Autumn 1970, is a very fascinating affair to relax by as well as to feel thrilled. Comes with comprehensive booklet including liner notes by Brian Davison."

Artist: THIRSTY MOON
Title: Thirsty Moon
Label: LONG HAIR (GERMANY)
Format: CD
Price: $21.00
Catalog #: LHC 052CD
"Originally released in 1972 on famous German label Brain, this is truly a jewel of German progressive rock. The seven band members use elements of jazz as a means of spontaneous expression and melt them together with the aggressiveness and rhythm of rock! Comparisons with Kollektiv and Xhol were made, but doesn't really do justice to the band's music. The sound is unique. Among Thirsty Moon's characteristics were massive use of percussion and electric piano in dynamic arrangements, heavy guitar riffs, ranging from soft, mellow atmospheres to psychedelic outbursts with reversed tapes and phasing effects. Comes with one never-released before bonus track and comprehensive booklet including liner notes by member Jürgen Drogies. Digitally remastered from the original mastertape. A true prog-Krautrock masterpiece."

Artist: THIRSTY MOON
Title: You'll Never Come Back
Label: LONG HAIR (GERMANY)
Format: CD
Price: $21.00
Catalog #: LHC 053CD
"This is Thirsty Moon's second album on famous German label, Brain. Originally released in 1973. Despite the fact that their first album is accepted as a classic one, many progressive rock music lovers appreciate You'll Never Come Back as the the band's best effort. On this album, Thirsty Moon developed their unique sound. No other band has so completely captured the elusive phenomena inherent in acid-rock and placed it so effectively in a jazz-rock format. Thirsty Moon's sound is a mirror ball of images surrounding the listener. This is one of the best albums of that time. Comes with one never-released before bonus track and comprehensive booklet including liner notes by member Jürgen Drogies. Digitally remastered from mastertapes."

Artist: THIRSTY MOON
Title: Blitz
Label: LONG HAIR (GERMANY)
Format: CD
Price: $21.00
Catalog #: LHC 054CD
"This is Thirsty Moon' s 3rd album, originally recorded in 1974, released early 1975 on famous German label Brain. All instruments were played by band founders Jürgen and Norbert Drogies. The album is far away considered as a solo album, the Drogies brothers created a true 'band-sound' following the traces of the first two albums but without the jazz influence. The sound on Blitz is more rock-oriented added with electronic loops and synthesizer playing, still based on great guitar playing and varied drum playing. Blitz still contained many unmistakable elements typical of Thirsty Moon. For the first time released a CD remastered from master tape, it comes with three bonus tracks including one Blitz recording session outtake and both titles of 1977 released 7" 'I'll Sing Your Song' / 'Caught.' With a 12-page booklet, never seen before photos and liner notes by band leader Jürgen Drogies. A must for all lovers of Thirsty Moon and Krautrock."

Format: CD
Price: $21.00
Catalog #: LHC 055CD
"Released for the first time, this is a recording of a concert Thirsty Moon gave on 29th May 1975 in their hometown of Bremen, Germany. The program shows titles from the beginning of the band and new tracks neither released on an album before nor after the concert. The band, now as a four piece, played for their life dominated by guitar and keyboard playing. Improvisation on old titles and new songs show the band at its best. The original tape was restored and the sound is surprisingly good. Comes with fully colored 12-page booklet, never-seen-before photos and liner notes by Jürgen Drogies."

Artist: ODIN
Title: SWF Session 1973
Label: LONG HAIR (GERMANY)
Format: CD
Price: $21.00
Catalog #: LHC 056CD
"Founded in summer 1971 in Germany by German organ player Jeff Beer, Dutch guitarist Rob Terstall and English bass player Ray Brown and drummer Stuart Fordham, ODIN is one of German rock music history's greatest mysteries. Information about the band is rather rare and with this CD all lovers of progressive rock music of the early '70s will be excellently informed about this great band. The music is played by well educated musicians who play a high level guitar- and organ-dominated progressive rock. After the release of their one and only album on the famous Vertigo label in 1972, ODIN were invited by German radio SWF to produce 4 titles for a radio show in February 1973. A 12-minute version of 'Life is Only' and a 11-minutes version of the Zappa composition 'King Kong' are fine examples of ODIN's terrific musicianship. 'Oh No' (6:30) and the Terstall composition 'Turnpike Lane' make the radio recording session complete. In addition to the radio recordings there is a bonus track from a concert in autumn 1971 titled 'Make Up Your Mind' (13:10) which is an impressive example of the band's early works. All titles are digitally remastered. The booklet contains a comprehensive band history with a lot of rare photos. Don't miss this true gem."

Label: LONG HAIR (GERMANY)
Format: CD
Price: $21.00
Catalog #: LHC 057CD
"This live concert from September 1971 is an impressive documentation of Odin during the band's identification process. Odin, well-known because of their album on the famous Vertigo label (1972), did a lot of concerts during their lifetime. Founded in summer 1971, Odin played, besides their own material, songs by their favorites, for example, Frank Zappa, King Crimson, Neil Young and others. Digitally remastered from the original tapes. The booklet comes with personal liner notes by bandleader Jeff Beer and a lot of rare and previous unseen photos. With a total playing time of 70 minutes, this is recommended to all fans of the genre!"

Label: LONG HAIR (GERMANY)
Format: CD
Price: $21.00
Catalog #: LHC 058CD
"Following a release of excellent live material, here comes a CD reissue of German/English/Dutch outfit Odin's one and only album on Vertigo, originally dating from 1972. This is a true gem from the golden age of progressive rock. Among the album's highlights is the opening track 'Life Is Only,' an absolutely great 12-minute composition with raging, dissonant Hammond B-3 work, refined song structures and ravishing guitars and vocals. Other notable tracks are a version of the Quartermass-classic 'Gemini' and 'Clown,' which closes the original album with some heavy instrumental firepower. The bonus cut is a 14-minute live version of Frank Zappa's 'Oh No,' with an impressive drum-solo by Stuart Fordham. This CD comes with a comprehensive booklet, including personal liner notes by Ray Brown, press reviews and lots of rare photos. A highlight!"

Title: The Oimels
Label: LONG HAIR (GERMANY)
Format: CD
Price: $21.00
Catalog #: LHC 059CD
"Originally released in 1969 on the famous German MPS label The Oimels presented Dauner & co. in a very different setting, namely as a psychedelic pop band. Full of surprises, this collection even included a version of The Beatles' 'A Day In The Life' alongside twisted pop, beat and ethnic music. Over-the-top fuzz guitars, one primal punky stomper and sitar-drenched lounge freakouts are the order of the day. Truly superior stuff, especially the great guitar work from Siggi Schwab, who appears on Vampyros Lesbos, Roland Kovac Set and numerous MPS label releases. An outstanding album!"

Artist: MURDER IN THE CATHEDRAL
Title: Afraid Of
Label: LONG HAIR (GERMANY)
Format: CD
Price: $21.00
Catalog #: LHC 060CD
"Amazingly underrated French neo-psychedelic band. Arisen from the ashes of The Heretic Dreams, Murder in the Cathedral was founded in the beginning of the '90s by brothers Stephane (guitar, keyboards, vocals) and Pascal Moru (bass, keyboards) and drummer Gilles Lepron. Influenced by new groups like Plasticland, Prisoners, and in the tradition of 13th Floor Elevators, Chocolate Watchband or Plastic Cloud, the boys tried to create their own sound. Their first eponymous album (included as a bonus album on this CD), released in 1996, shows a mixture of guitar-oriented neo-psych in the vein of Plastic Cloud, Morgen and Grateful Dead. It consists of 8 titles, instrumental pieces alternating with vocal ones (sung in English). It was very positively received in the neo-psychedelic underground and the limited edition of 500 was sold out within a few months. 2nd album Afraid Of... saw the light of day in 1999. Now the music is much more structured and contains less jam-like passages. According to the reviewers, the crucial sound influences range from The Byrds to Bevis Frond, combining the San Francisco acid sound of the '60s with Oriental sounds. Again the album (limited edition of 500) was sold out within a few months. Although Long Hair is specialized in psychedelic/progressive music of the '60s and early '70s, we would like to present all lovers of psychedelic music this outstanding band. All titles are digitally remastered from original tapes. Booklet comes with extensive personal liner notes by guitar player and singer Stephane Moru including rare and unseen photos."

New version of this archival CD, originally released as the first CD on Long Hair back in 2001. "Vol. 1 presents the band Jud's Gallery from Offenburg (Southwest Germany). In two sessions they recorded 9 songs 1972/74 in perfect studio quality. Intelligent Kraut-progressive-rock, self-composed long tracks with heavy-blues-rock and classical influence. A new chapter with unreleased original Krautrock. Continues the sound by those legendary labels as Brain, Pilz and Ohr."

Title: Outside The Gates of Eden
Label: LONG HAIR (GERMANY)
Format: 2CD
Price: $29.00
Catalog #: LHC 062/3CD
"German rock legends Rufus Zuphall feat. original band members Günter Krause (gt, voc, bandleader), Klaus Gülden (flute), Helmut Lieblang (bass, lyrics) are still on the live-circuit. In summer 2006, they performed at the famous Belgian rock underground club Spirit of 66. This show was broadcast by German radio station Deutschlandfunk. Over more than 120 minutes Rufus Zuphall played a hand-picked show including all their classic titles like 'Weiß der Teufel,' 'Avalon,' 'Spanferkel,' 'Portland Town,' 'Knight of 3rd degree' et.al. But also new songs like the title track of this double album 'Outside the Gates of Eden,' a superb work, which is reminiscent of the best moments of their classic 2nd album Phallobst are included. Further new titles like 'Blue Zone,' 'Lover Mine' or 'Sixpack' are examples of the excellent songwriting band leader Günter Krause is still capable of. This great concert shows the tremendous passion of Rufus Zuphall's performing abilities. Digitally remastered from the original broadcast tape. Highly recommended."

Title: Kollektiv
Label: LONG HAIR (GERMANY)
Format: CD
Price: $24.00
Catalog #: LHC 064CD
"This legendary eponymous album, originally released on famous label Brain in 1973, is a fine example of the various styles German rock of the early '70s (Krautrock) represented. On their first album, Kollektiv produced an incomparable, unmistakable sound with echoes of Organisation and early Kraftwerk. Spacey but melodic, elevated yet rocking. Innovativ, progressive in the best sense. This is a true German rock classic. Comes with 4 bonus tracks (28 minutes) with a different line-up which was influenced by King Crimson's Red album phase of the mid-'70s. Superb guitar work over hypnotizing rhythms. A must."

Title: Invasion
Label: LONG HAIR (GERMANY)
Format: CD
Price: $24.00
Catalog #: LHC 065CD
"Originally released 1979 on Reveal, Concept's 1st album Invasion is truly a highlight of Canadian psychedelic and acid rock. Its undoubted relevance to connoisseurs of psychedelic and acid rock finds valid in the group's multiple talents playing music of the late sixties /early seventies in the late '70s and early '80s. Maybe a little bit anachronistic then, but today a real killer for all lovers of the genre. Musically Concept's Invasion reminds sometimes of the early recordings of Amon Düül II with flaming guitar extensions, occasionally strange sound effects and surprising hooks. Guitar player Peter Riden was the main creative force in the band, although on both albums the songwriting and music credits are shared around the band. Bonus tracks are very rare 7" 'Eliminate the Bill/Pour une Faveur.' CD comes with comprehensive fully-colored booklet with liner notes and lyrics. Don't miss this very rare nugget. Original album is very expensive, This is a must-have for all lovers of psychedelic/acid rock."

Title: Supra Surge
Label: LONG HAIR (GERMANY)
Format: CD
Price: $24.00
Catalog #: LHC 066CD
"Originally released 1980 on Reveal, Concept's 2nd album Supra Surge is not only the band's masterpiece but generally a masterpiece of psychedelic and acid rock. Hard to believe, but the recording date was in 1980. This could be a lost Amon Düül II album of their early period up to 1972. Unbelievable and amazing! The band had refined their musical abilities and created a monster. Great melodies, flaming guitar tunes, excellent organ and keyboard work and absolutely great vocals all over show Concept at its best. Don't miss this album. You'll want to hear it again and again. 10 titles digitally remastered. Comprehensive booklet with all lyrics. Absolutely highly recommended!"

Catalog #: LHC 067CD
"Originally released as a private pressing and on label Contraband, Orange Wedge's first album Wedge features seven songs full of driving guitars and strong vocals. Orange Wedge hailed from Baltimore, Maryland, where they formed in 1968. They released two albums (CD release second album No One Left But Me, Long Hair LHC 068CD). Both albums show a mix of long and short songs and lots of loud guitars. Excellent songwriting and remarkable hooks, too. Highlights of the album are 11-minute track 'Death Comes Slowly' and final song 'Revenge', which features some superb Neil Young-influenced guitar playing. CD comes with comprehensive booklet, liner notes by guitar player and composer Joe Farace, and a lot of unseen photos. Digitally remastered. Highly recommended."

Title: No One Left But Me
Label: LONG HAIR (GERMANY)
Format: CD
Price: $24.00
Catalog #: LHC 068CD
"Second album from 1974 is more of the same but slightly more aggressive vocally, particularly on tile track 'No One Left But Me' and with more guitar exhibitionism on 'Hungary Man'. 'Dream' is a pleasant instrumental. 'The Gates' provides a 10-minute stunning finale much in the West Coast-style. Excellent guitar-driven sound all over the album with a melodic psych/prog/rock feel. Occasional use of piano and acoustic guitars make for a varied sound. Lots of loud guitars with great solos. Comprehensive booklet with unseen photos. Digitally remastered. Highly recommended."

Artist: THORUP WITH FRIENDS, PETER
Title: Wake Up Your Mind
Label: LONG HAIR (GERMANY)
Format: CD
Price: $24.00
Catalog #: LHC 069CD
"Peter Thorup, a well-known Danish blues-rock musician, gained an international reputation because of his cooperation with blues icon Alexis Korner in New Church, CCS and Snape in the early '70s. After he dispended his first band The Beefeaters in 1969, Thorup was helped by some old friends from famous Danish groups Young Flowers, Burning Red Ivanhoe, The Beefeaters, and Rainbow Band to record Wake Up Your Mind in February and March 1970. Thirteen titles were recorded of which 7 found its way in 1970 on the Philips-released album Wake Up Your Mind. The music was not restricted to just blues-rock and consequently this release had a much wider appeal, as the rest of Peter Thorup's efforts. The album reflects the musicians' good reputation and it is rather a band project than a solo effort. Fantastic guitar playing by Peter Thorup and Peer Frost (Young Flowers), gorgeous vocals by P.T. and Ole Fick (Burning Red Ivanhoe), excellent organ work by Morten Kjaerumgard and impressive flute and sax playing by Bent Hesselmann (Maxwells, Rainbow Band/Midnight Sun) define this real killer. Beside the original album tracks, there are 6 bonus tracks featuring, among others, Hendrix's 'If 6 Was 9' in a real killer 8-minute version and the 11-minute opus 'I Dreamed I Was A Dog Last Night,' by Ole Fick -- all-in-all, about 40 minutes of bonus material. Comes with a comprehensive booklet, band history, photos, digitally-remastered. A must-have."

Artist: MAMMUT
Title: Mammut
Label: LONG HAIR (GERMANY)
Format: CD
Price: $24.00
Catalog #: LHC 070CD
"First official CD release of one of the most legendary German small label pressed albums. Originally released in 1971, this album is an intense and bombastic hybrid between heavy fuzz acid guitar, instinctive free rock improvisations and some lyrical, classical influenced interludes/fragments. Mammut played in an impressive and convincing manner their conception of an psychedelic rock opera. For that each title includes the name Mammut. The opening track 'Bird Mammut' is a groovy, percussive, crazy psychedelic affair featuring an avalanche of drums, trippy organs, bluesy e-guitar and wistfull flute passages. 'Classical Mammut' delivers a short piano interlude, a pleasant melodic moment. 'Mammut Ecstasy' is a fuzzy heavy psychedelic composition with furious rhythms, an efficient bass guitar leading theme and some nice keyboard moves. 'Foot Machine Mammut' alternates a bluesy pop song with free guitar jams accompanied by Hammond organ. Perhaps parts of the first Embryo album are comparable to this. 'Nähgarn Mammut" is their attempt to be more lyrical and melodic, while the album closes with 14 minutes of 'Mammut Opera,' which show Mammut at their best. Dark sounds with hints of Amon Düül II, heavy blues rock with all sorts of strange, ethnic and gothic touches combined in their music. Altough the band themselves quoted Deep Purple in rock as a major influence, their spirit was purely Krautrock. Their sole album is a legendary rarity. CD comes with 1 bonus track, comprehensive booklet, digitally remastered. A classic! Don´t miss it!"

Artist: ET CETERA
Title: Et Cetera
Label: LONG HAIR (GERMANY)
Format: CD
Price: $24.00
Catalog #: LHC 071CD
Heavy, crazy and amazing Wolfgang Dauner album, reissued for the first time ever. "First ever released on CD, Et Cetera's eponymous album (1980 reissue on Brain titled Lady Blue), originally released in 1971 on Global is an extraordinary album of weirdly trippy fusion that rides somewhere between instrumental Amon Düül II, Embryo and Dauner's own earlier classic Output. Full of ethnic (Arabic and Indian) spice with lots of the ethnic color added by legendary guitar and sitar (et. al.) player Sigi Schwab (Embryo), odd keyboard sounds by Wolfgang Dauner, dreamy bass patterns by Eberhard Weber and driving percussions by Fred Braceful and Roland Wittich, this is spacy, crazy, Krautrock and -- a bit jazzy. Alan and Steven Freeman (The Crack In The Cosmic Egg) present this album in their The Krautrock Top 100. Maybe the album was originally planned as a double-LP because there are three more titles from the same recording session, which really knock you out. 'Kabul' is a killer, especially because of Schwab's exploding electric guitar and Weber's driving bass. 'Tau Ceti' is a wonderfully dreamy delight presenting Schwab's gorgeous acoustic guitar playing. Last but not least, the bonus track 'Behind The Stage' connects Schwab's special electric guitar with the band's atmospheric but rhythmic fundamental playing. This album will be a masterpiece for all time. It's unique. Digitally remastered from the original master tapes. The sound is brilliant. CD comes with informative booklet." Includes 3 bonus tracks.

Artist: NOWY, RALF
Title: Lucifer's Dream
Label: LONG HAIR (GERMANY)
Format: CD
Price: $24.00
Catalog #: LHC 072CD
"For the first time on CD, this album of German flute and sax player Ralf Nowy, originally released in 1973 on Global, is a quiet tip for all lovers of the genre. Inspired by the burgeoning Krautrock scene, Nowy found his own supergroup with top musicians Paul Vincent and Keith Forsey and others from the Munich scene. Lothar Meid, bass (Amon Düül II) contributes as a guest on one title as well as Al Gromer, sitar (Amon Düül II). Lucifer´s Dream was therefore a melting pot of almost everything from psychedelic pop onto slight jazz influences, with experimental and ethnic diversions, a complex musical suite with a great deal of invention. Indeed, Paul Vincent and Keith Forsey are responsible for a great psychedelic rock feeling. Nowy himself and Al Gromer give the album an ethnic message. Outstanding titles are 'Shiwa's Dance' with a great Al Gromer on sitar and 'Tschad' with a catchy melody, played by Nowy on flute and a percussive background you will never forget. Digitally remastered from the original master tape, CD has a brilliant sound. It comes with band story, photos, etc. Highly recommended."

Gatefold sleeve. "Legendary Swiss heavy psychedelic/progressive band with their sole album originally released in 1972 on Splendid Records. First official reissue on Long Hair limited to 500 units. Touches of Procol Harum and obviously inspired by the U.S. West Coast sound, this album is a real killer. Organ and guitar dominate the melodic but heavy psychedelic sound. Strong vocals, too. Having its roots in the late sixties music, the songs are well composed and played by excellent musicians. 3 bonus tracks. Digitally remastered. Informative insert. Highly recommended."

Artist: CANNABIS INDIA
Title: SWF Session 1973
Label: LONG HAIR (GERMANY)
Format: CD
Price: $24.00
Catalog #: LHC 074CD
"Another forgotten pearl from the vaults of radio station SWF, Germany. Like Coupla Prog or other delights from the early '70s who never made an album, Cannabis India, founded 1971 in the region of Düsseldorf, show their great talent playing their own compositions influenced by groups like The Nice or ELP. Bandleader and organ-player Oliver Petry studied piano from the early age of seven. When he heard Keith Emerson for the first time he changed his instrument and played organ with great enthusiasm. Together with drummer Rüdiger Braune (in the '80s with Gianna Nannini) and furious bass-player Dirk Fleck, Cannabis India run through their pieces with infernal speed but also with a sense of drama. The nearly 12 minute epic 'Lapis' and 11 minutes adaption of Beethoven's 9th show what Cannabis India music was all about. CD comes with 2 bonus tracks from follow-up band Universe. Digitally remastered from original master tapes and bandstory. Don't miss it!"

Artist: HABOOB
Title: Haboob
Label: LONG HAIR (GERMANY)
Format: CD
Price: $24.00
Catalog #: LHC 075CD
"First official CD-release of mysterious one-off project, co-led by 3 US expatriots living in Munich, Germany: Keyboardist Jimmy Jackson, drummer George Green and Guitarist William Powell. Major point of interest for most progressive and psychedelic rockfans is Haboobs very significant connection with Amon Düül II. Bandleader Jimmy Jackson plays organ on Amon Düül's albums Dance of The Lemmings and Wolf City. He also played organ on many LPs of Embryo (Embryos Rache, Steig aus, Rock Session) and has further numerous studio credits (for example: Doldinger's Passport, Tangerine Dream Electronic Meditation). On Haboob, Jackson's effects-laden organ and mellotron (here called 'choir-organ') are quite prominent. LP is comprised of a free improvisation, a very Hendrix-inspired blues and some pretty straight forward funk-rock pieces. The end result is a collaboration between Amon Düül II and early Funkedelic. The music has a lot of appeal and those who are interested in a fusion of Euro-psychedelic rock with hints of funk should definitely seek this one out. Digitally remastered from original mastertapes and with bandstory. Great stuff!"

Title: Jazz Macht Spazz
Label: LONG HAIR (GERMANY)
Format: CD
Price: $24.00
Catalog #: LHC 076CD
"No progressive rock music fan should be misled by the album title Jazz macht Spazz, a bowdlerization of 'jazz makes fun,' this is progressive jazz-rock at its best. Büdi Siebert (flutes and saxes), Herbert Binder (gt), Frank Fischer (bass), later with Release Music Orchestra, Thomas Rabenschlag (keys) and drummer Bea Maier (later with Zomby Woof and Moira), all well trained on the instruments, played a varied, inventive, melodic and often furious kind of music with lots of Krautrock magic influenced by Frank Zappa, King Crimson, Soft Machine and Weather Report. 5 titles on this CD were recorded at German radio station SWF, 2 titles are live recordings (taped from the soundboard), all in all 77 minutes of great flute and sax playing, furious and lyrical guitar and bass work, hypnotic rhythm patterns and perfect keyboard sounds. Hard to believe that Puppenhaus never recorded an album. Digitally remastered from original master tapes. CD comes with comprehensive booklet, band story by the musicians, many photos and especially with a wonderful cover based on a painting by drummer Bea Maier. Highly recommended."

Artist: PAPA ZOOT BAND
Title: Last Concert
Label: LONG HAIR (GERMANY)
Format: CD
Price: $24.00
Catalog #: LHC 078CD
"Great lost band from Frankfurt, Germany. In 1973/1974, Papa Zoot Band played all over Germany, mainly in clubs but also on festivals (German Pop Meeting 1st and 2nd February 1974 in Essen, Grugahalle). Lutz Sommer guitar, Robby Matthes bass, voc, Reinhard 'Tammy' Grohe organ(Ex-Nosferatu !) and Christian Engel drums, voc. played mainly long tracks, very melodic but also with a sense of drama comparable to Nektar, Eloy, Jane or Pink Floyd. Outstanding 20 minutes title 'Fly away' could be a long track by Pink Floyd of the Meddle/Wish You Were Here/Animals-era without being an imitation. The other two long tracks 'I Wish' (9 minutes) and 'Friendship or Love' (11 minutes) also show throughout fantastic guitar and organ work (as you know it from Nosferatu album). Unbelievable that Papa Zoot Band never made an album. 4 years after they called it a day, Papa Zoot Band played in early 1978 a sole reunion concert at there basic venue 'Sinkkasten' in Frankfurt. This concert, which had the same playlist as their performance on German Pop Meeting 1974, proved again, that their music never lost its magic. This great performance was taped from the soundboard and has a superb sound quality. As bonus tracks there are two cover versions of a great Eric Burdon song 'When I was Young' in a 9 minutes psychedelic version and the classic 'Tobacco Road' with former bandleader and great singer Ernst Nadler (nickname: Papa Zoot) who left Papa Zoot Band in early 1973. CD comes with comprehensive booklet, photos from their performance at the German Pop Meeting, 1974 (a. o. with Guru Guru, Kraan, Nektar, Eloy). Digitally remastered. Secret tip and a must have for all lovers of the genre."

Artist: DIETER BIHLMAIER SELECTION
Title: The SWF-Session 1973
Label: LONG HAIR (GERMANY)
Format: CD
Price: $24.00
Catalog #: LHC 079CD
"From the vaults of radio station SWF (today SWR) and previously unreleased, this fantastic group with a rather unusual instrumentation (flutes, bass, drums) blow your ears away. They played music you probably haven't heard before. Call it free rock, living new jazz or just extremely good music, this trio is far out of any limitations. The music of the Dieter Bihlmaier Selection possesses genuine power, where explosive eruptions alternate with lyric moments. On repeated listening the music develops an irresistible pull that we wish to share with all lovers of 'good music.' These recordings are without any doubt not only of high musical value, they are also an absolute rarity, since unlike the two albums of the Dieter Bihlmaier Selection, they were recorded just in the trio formation flute, bass and drums and without the participation of the vibraphone player. The SWF-Recordings 1973 of Dieter Bihlmaier Selection are an outstanding musical achievement. CD comes with full coloured 20-page booklet including band history and a lot of photos. Digitally remastered from the original master tape. If you want to listen to more... listen to Dieter Bihlmaier Selection The SWF-Recordings 1973."

Title: The SWF Session 1972
Label: LONG HAIR (GERMANY)
Format: CD
Price: $24.00
Catalog #: LHC 081CD
"Another true classic from the SWF (German Radio Station) vaults comes with the STUD recordings from summer 1972. At that time the STUD members had said 'farewell' to their English record label Decca and spent most of their time on the Continent, mainly in Germany where they were rather successful. With John Weider on violin and guitar they had just an album (September) out on BASF and played a lot of Club gigs and festivals. During their 1972 tour they were invited by radio station SWF to play a recording session at radio stations main studio U1 in Baden-Baden. There were two sessions that took place in April and Mai 1972. STUD recorded titles from their first and second album but varied the material to give the recordings a special claim. From hard rocking 'Good Things', to fourteen minutes epic title 'Horizon' and shining ballad 'Make Me High' these recordings are an impressive prove of the bands musical bandwidth and the band members' excellent technical skills. CD comes with band story. Digitally remastered from the original tape. For the first time on CD. Don't miss it."

Title: Mechelwind
Label: LONG HAIR (GERMANY)
Format: 2CD
Price: $29.00
Catalog #: LHC 083/84CD
"This double CD (CD1: 44:15/CD2: 41:41) unites absolute rarities of famous German band Aera. Aera, founded in 1972 by 'Ihre Kinder' guitarist Muck Groh and 2066 & Then keyboard player Steve Robinson, were in their very beginnings when they recorded their special extended version (26 minutes) 'Mechelwind Suite' from their later classic title 'Mechelwind' (on album Hand und Fuss, LHC 44, vinyl-edition). The 'Mechelwind Suite' is divided into 5 parts and is rather different from the later album-version, not only because of Steve Robinson's excellent keyboard playing but also because of Muck Groh's fine guitar playing and Klaus Kreuzeder's pleasant sax tunes. CD 1 finishes with two SWF-recordings, 'Hodibbel' and 'Mechelwind,' from Oktober 1973 again with 2066 & Then keyboarder Steve Robinson. CD 2 contains a live performance of Aera from 23.12.1973 with the same line up as on CD 1. Highlights are the 15-minute version of 'Hodibbel' and 12-minute version of 'Papa Doing.' The recordings show Aera at their very best during their first decade. Both CDs are digitally remastered from the original tapes. Double CD comes with a 20-page comprehensive booklet with a lot of unseen photos and band history told by founding-member Steve Robinson. A must have."

Artist: VOID'S LAST STAND, THE
Title: A Sun By Rising Set
Label: LONG HAIR (GERMANY)
Format: CD
Price: $24.00
Catalog #: LHC 085CD
"Besides the releases of recordings of the golden age of progressive-, Kraut- and psychedelic rock from the end of '60s to the end of the '70s, Long Hair also decides to release recordings of young bands creating corresponding sounds of today. First release comes from Aachen's young and extraordinary The Void's Last Stand. A Sun By Rising Set is their ambitious debut album. The four members, all in their mid-twenties, are Jonas Wingens (vocals, guitar), Geoffrey Blaeske (guitar), Raschid Touzani (bass) and Ray Dratwa (drums). The album was recorded during the summer of 2009. The four young musicians' complex and demanding work consists of only two compositions while coming up with more than 45 minutes of material. The listener will get confronted with quite a depth of ideas, with dynamics ranging from clear and catchy parts as well as others appearing almost intangible. Once engaged with lunatic and floating changes in harmony, rhythm and time signature you'll find yourself recompensed with an exciting journey to a wondrous place where forgotten myths and alchemical chants mix up with surreal worlds between dream and nightmare which are barely escapable -- a subconsciously existent land where the sun rises with its own set and where time has seemingly halted. TVLS sees themselves in the tradition of classic progressive bands like Van Der Graaf Generator, Nektar, Yes, ELP. Rush, Gentle Giant, Magma as well as more contemporary prog bands like The Mars Volta, Sieges Even, Spastic Ink, Birds and Buildings, Hella, Ungdomskulen, High Wheel, Frost, The Tangent etc, yet they are most of all seeking to create something fresh, original and truly progressive. These two long tracks are really outstanding. This is music you've hardly heard before. The musicians play perfect and the production is brilliant. Booklet contains lyrics worth reading. Long Hair is very proud to present this young band and their great first album. Missing this album is outrageous."
