Close To Me is composed of 20 amazing tracks figuring among some of the best artists (Minimal Man, Michael Mayer, Booka Shade, Rework, Jake Fairley, Falko Brocksieper, Misc) and label productions in Europe of the nowadays electronic minimal scene (Playhouse, Initial Cuts, Perlon, Treibstoff, Sender, Kompakt, Get Physical). The tracklisting reveals a certain accessibility, far from any usual and wrong prejudices classifying minimal sounds as too monotone and linear. "For this number 9 the French label Modelisme based in Marseille, releases the new Electronic Data Processing EP called So Close, So Far. For this time Sebastien Bromberger & Laurent Cristofol, after having explored the deepness of their music, have decided to change their uses and leave their minimal funky techouse style. They propose two orientated techno tracks containing two different feelings showing a darker or a more powerful side of their music. On A side, a light rock music fragrance flies on the title 'So Close, So Far' which mixes a progressive groove, electrotechno influences, a massive metallic sound with dark effects, suggesting an alternative, but still sexy attitude, ready to touch hearts and minds on the dancefloor. 'Dancing in the Woods', on B side, with its minimal mood, develops a combining between dark and warm textures, strange voices and dub effects. Built on a darkish and repetitive groove, it shows easily the perfect way for an hypnotic trip."

"After his release on labels like Karmarouge or Synerfy Network, Nico Purman, who's living in Argentina, proposes two long and very nice tracks of deep minimal techno. On the A side, 'Ciudad de Nubes' will surely seduce those who habitually like to listen to progressive, groovy but melodic and ecstatic atmospheres. A simple and punchy rhythmic, unleashed to an efficient sub bassline, accorded with really beautiful organic sonorities. On the B side, Nico shows another part of his music with 'Boske Encantado,' a dub/tech house track based on a funky and energetic groove. "The guys from 22 Crew (Nhar and Kevin Scherschel) strikes again on the label from Marseille. On the main side comes a long and lovely cut called 'Clarke,' which is a deep mix between harmonic layered chords, sub analog styled basslines and the classical 22 beautiful bleepy touch.
