Artist: FRANCISCAN HOBBIES
Title: Walls are Stuck
Label: MUSIC FELLOWSHIP
Format: CD
Price: $13.00
Catalog #: MF 013CD
"San Francisco's The Franciscan Hobbies return with their fourth full-length album (& second proper CD) of cooperative folk-noise & abstract nature processionals. Based around Thuja-explorers Glenn Donaldson, Loren Chasse & Rob Reger, this free-form musical body also encompasses another half-dozen friends from likeminded bands such as The Muons, The Buried Civilizations, Leaf Yard & The Shitty Listeners. The title Walls are Stuck was inspired by a quote from Pandit Pran Nath: 'Inside, walls are stuck; outside, ideas fly in all directions.' The Hobbies have been known to put this into practice by taking their junk folk-instruments, boomboxes & mini-discs outside, gathering in canyons, creek beds, backyards, and on porches & beaches. The Franciscan Hobbies are part of the expansive Jewelled Antler forest of bands & projects." Last copies, deleted item.

Artist: TAMBURO, MIKE
Title: Beating of the Rewound Son
Label: MUSIC FELLOWSHIP
Format: CD
Price: $13.00
Catalog #: MF 016CD
"Mike Tamburo (6 string acoustic guitar, organ, keyboard, electronics, Tibetan bowl, alarm clock, accordion, piano, ebow, bowed guitar, mandolin, percussive guitar, electric piano, effects, engineering) has created a pristine document of new American ethnic guitar music channeling years of influence and energies similar to the likes of Fahey, Windy and Carl, Six Organs of Admittance, Gastr del Sol, Charlemagne Palestine, Loren Connors, and Tower Recordings. Tamburo approaches music with the constant joy of discovering new sounds and techniques for himself. As one of the main players behind Meisha and Arco Flute Foundation, Tamburo has dedicated himself to exploring the nuances of his instruments in a group setting. Beating of the Rewound Son at last allows us a glimpse into the sole vision of his exploratory, trance inducing ideas and sounds." Last copies, deleted item.
