"Tenth release for Num records, the anniversary release features the founders on either side! Moving away from the cold universe of deep bleeps after a couple of minutes, Lee Van Dowski's 'The Last Bounce' brings a sweet darkness into play, made of dreamlike, plaintive echoes and reverb-soaked, cascading strings in a perfect afterhours mood. Quirky touches are hidden all over like micro-easter eggs. Adding soft, detailed percussion work over the top in the last quarter might help launch another mix or the next DJ but this one is beautiful enough to end the night! Or day. What time is it? Wow. Quenum's remix is based on a short, funky loop rhythm from which sounds and further grooves extend into the air like so many lizard's tongues, darting out with a pop of the synth or a slap of the snare. "Ralph Sliwinski has been producing electronic music since he first got his hands on a Commodore 64 in 1990. "This is probably from Switzerland, actually we don't know who this is: a link to the master recordings was sent to us by email, from 'Nope.' So what? Apparently, there are three different versions of the same track (for all we know, it could be three different producers!) and it's pretty good, so we made a special limited label just for those good surprises. The elements: short, industrial-like percussive loops and a plaintive whistle sounding off in the background, seemingly out of tune with everything, like an alien melody. The first version has a shifting beat, as if two loops slowly got out of sync and ended up bouncing off each other somewhere in the middle and meeting again at the end, but in an inverted world, everything turned upside-down. The second is a reduced jam with subtle micro-arrangements that's deep and straight as an arrow, with a beat you can trust. The third version is a totally sexy finger-snapping hipshaker of a groove that will have dancers moonwalk right across the floor faster than you can pronounce its bizarre title."

"Halland is a collaborative project between Stockholm's Elias Landberg and Martin Skogenhall. Their first release together gathers the best ingredients of their solo work to make an entirely different cake, producing lively and deep electronic techno.
