"Raum..Musik was founded more than five years ago. The first release of the label was a compilation called Raum...Musik Präsentiert #1 to define the label's taste and style. Based somewhere between minimal, house, techno and dub and always open for surprises. The compilation featured tracks by well known artists like for example Rhythm & Sound or Beanfield among new artists based around the owners of the label. One of these artists was D.Diggler with his legendary tune 'Boogie Monster'. His first single 'Love Motel' followed shortly after that. "Patrick Chardronnet lives close to Stuttgart, Germany and this single is his first release ever. He presents three tracks, which are all very different from each other, which also indicates his large musical capability and variety. the a-side 'Ledge' is a more old school sounding techno tune with slight house references. B1 ;Knisterboogie' is sound wise based on more recent minimal techno, but the very pumping kick and the unbelievable dryness give it also a very special note, if compared to others. B2 'Digit' is a more experimental based track without using any kick drum."

"Dominik Eulberg was already featured with his track 'Marylin' on our last split EP (musik038). Since then he left his fingerprints on many other labels and we are happy to release his first own single on our label. 'Basstölpel' is not only the driving technotune on the a-side of this record, it is also a native German bird, as we learned from Dominik. If you would try to translate the meaning of 'Basstölpel', it'll be something like 'bassfool'. Dominik is studying biology and is also a big friend of all kinds of animals. On the b-side he gets remix support from no one else than MusikKrause's own Robag Wruhme who doesn't need to be introduced here any further. He creates a more deeper, majestic mix who seems to be determined for the late morning hours and also fits perfectly to our label profile. We wish you a pleasant flight with the 'Basstölpel'."

"The second single from Berlin based Rico Henschel. His first release was played by DJ's from all kinds of genres and so again he presents four tracks where he doesn't seem to care too much about being suitable to a certain style. Furthermore he is walking on that narrow path between house and techno, blending the styles. Sometimes shuffled, sometimes a bit trancy without becoming too cheesy and sometimes in his typical more minimal orientated manner. You can hear that his tracks are more elaborate and no matter in which genre, he is always capable of giving each single track his own personal note."

"During the last two years a new generation of artists which are releasing on raum...musik was born. The time is up now to unite all of them on one compilation. Raum...Musik Präsentiert Vol. 6 features five exclusive tracks, that only will be released like this on vinyl. The A-side comes from London's Neilon Pitamber better known as Dub Kult, his first release for us, titled 'On and On' even appeared in the charts of Ricardo Villalobos and Mathew Jonson. B1 is from Patrick Chardronnet from Pforzheim (close to Stuttgart) and his last years debut 'Ledge' was licensed as the opener for Steve Bug's 'Bugnology' CD. Side C is shared by Berlin youngster Rico Henschel aka Sweet n Candy, who apart from his two releases for us appeared on the 'Lebensfreude' label from Berlin and his own freshly founded imprint called 'Oppsum' and the man that shouldn't be mentioned any more at the moment Dominik Eulberg. Side D features a collaboration from moodmusic mastermind Sasse Lindblad also known as freestyle man and the Frankfurt based DJ Dorian Paic. The featured tracks are all quite different of course, it is more the mood of each single tune that manifests the concept for this compilation."

"While a lot of his tracks show his big passion for massive sounds and melodies, his records for us are pointing out another facet of his music. The sounds are more reduced, but always combined with just the right amount of 'rave.' Choosing the titles for his music is another big passion of Dominik and names like 'Die Wildschweinsuhle' (which actually is the place where wild boars come to drink) and 'Mit Wurzelhaar und Tiergesicht,' named after a quotation from famous German actor Klaus Kinski promise quite a lot."

"Guillaume Coutu and Ernesto Ferreyra provide another debut on Raum...Musik. Guillaume lives in Canada and has released under various other projects like Luci (Mutek) or Egg (Karat). His partner Ernesto comes from Argentina originally and together they form the duo Chic Miniature. Their EP includes three tracks which highlight the musical versatility between them. 'Whiskey Nene' on the A-side is a progressively building minimal track that originated during one of their live sets. 'Kamikaze Video Game' on the B-side is a massive psychedelic monster, with its distorted sitar sounds that will delight the listener especially in the late, late hours of the night. Closing this impressive debut we have the melancholic 'Ruta 36,' which also has an interesting trance-inducing vibe."

"Volker Dornhagen hails from Hamburg, Germany and has released some music on Kompakt sublabel Auftrieb. "Maayan Nidam, also known as Miss Fitz was born in Tel Aviv. After having lived in Amsterdam for a while, she moved to Berlin three years ago. His musical influences can be generally related to minimal house and techno, but he is always keen on picking up on trends and new influences, which is also the reason why he manages to stand out between the uncountable amount of records that are being released in this genre. Rico often seems to be one step ahead of other producers that are making similar music, just see how many 'tackywakeup' imitations came out after the record was first released. This album is aimed primarily for clubs, because that is also his favorite playground. 'Yard' is a peaktime bomb that will surely blow you away with its amazing and powerful sound. 'Suit' on the B side is for the late moments, or some serious afterhour business better to say. B2 is called 'Dragee' and definitely is the most tool based tune of this EP but it is also quite good to use, as one might also play in a more house related context. "Time is up for the last Raum release in 2007 and once again it is a debut on our label. Agaric also known as Patrik Skoog originally hails from Sweden. Currently he is residing in Berlin from where he is also running his label called We Are. Before that Patrik also has released some music on such labels as Drumcode or Nummer for example. The two featured tracks on his Raum release are also a bit more techno related and definitely show his production skills as their sound is very good. 'Goose Step,' as one can tell quite easily from it's name, salutes all the goosestep ravers in this world. It is a peaktime bomb that will definitely cause some serious trouble if being played on a bigger floor. The B side track 'C'est What' is a bit more subtle and can be used in far more different situations. In clubs of different sizes as well as for the late shift this track is guaranteed to rock da house."

The A-side is a cooperation between Seth Troxler and Shaun Reeves under their new project name, Hot. Both of them are hailing from Detroit originally but have moved to Berlin some time ago. Shaun already released a record on Raum in 2006 together with Miss Fitz. The B-side is also from Seth, but this time he is teaming up with Gadi Mizrahi, who is a friend of Seth and Shaun, based in New York. Both tracks on the A-side create a perfect combination between old school influences, that can almost be related to 'disco' and a more modern sound.
