"The meeting between The Thing & Cato Salsa Experience started at the Kongsberg Jazz festival in Norway in 2004, when The Thing was offered the chance to invite their favorite rock band Cato Salsa Experience for a special collaboration. The show was a success & this also led to the critically acclaimed EP 'Sounds Like A Sandwich.' It was immediately decided that the Two Bands & A Legend should go into studio to record a full length album. On the album the bands do their own versions of tracks like 'Who The Fuck' by PJ Harvey, 'Baby Talk' by James Blood Ulmer among others. The CD is the perfect pairing of the dirty 60s influenced free-jazz that of The Thing and the raw & minimalistic garage rock of Cato Salsa Experience. Most tracks on this album was recorded in one take only with no overdubs." Liner notes by Thurston Moore.

"Gustafsson (Thing, Gush, Diskaholics Anonymous Trio), a long-time fan of Yoshimi's work (Boredoms, OOIOO), teamed up with her for a duo show at Malmö Konserthus in Sweden in April 2005. The show was recorded & here is the result. A mighty piece of music. A monumental zen-like psychedelic drone piece for saxes & voice. The sound on the CD was created by slide saxophone (Mats' being of the few in the world today to play this instrument), tenor sax, baritone sax, alto fluteophone & electronics, all by Mats, as well as Yoshimi's voice plus electronics." 2006 release.

Recorded live on the OS Italian tour, September 2005 in Teatro Arisoto, Reggio Emilia, Italy, to be more specific. This is the first in a series of recordings from OS. Musically one can hear the obvious influences from early Sonic Youth & The Ex mixed with the Scandinavian free-jazz. But you can hear their many influences from Black Flag to drone rock to Albert Ayler to Boredoms to noise, punk, Dead C, Merzbow & '60s minimalism. This is 100% improvised rock. "The Thing & Cato Salsa Experience recorded this EP during the same session that resulted in the self titled album. These tracks didn't fit the album & it was immediately decided to make this into an EP to be released after the album. The EP contains 3 tracks and 30 minutes of music. It starts of with a cover version by Groove Armada's (!) I See You Baby with Joe McPhee on vocals which is worth the price alone! The EP also features a new version of Joe McPhee's seminal Black Panther anthem 'Nation Time' from 1970 as well as Donald Ayler's beautiful epic 'Our Prayer.'"

"Working within the fields of noise music for over 15 years, Marhaug has toured most parts of the world, both as a solo artist & as a member of the project Jazzkamer. Lasse keeps on paying homage to his metal roots (this time Kiss' classic 'Alive'). A selection of live recordings done all over the world in the period of 1998 to 2006. This live album features recordings done among others in Toronto, Bergen, Chicago, New York, Oslo, & Baltimore. In many ways this is a travel letter from Lasse Marhaug to you! A travel letter in noise. Its starts out with a special piece that Lasse made for the Alarm Award (Norwegian Grammy award). He was told by the label to 'make ears bleed.' Lasse succeeded, he made shockwaves through the audience that was dressed for party & easy listening, and he probably did one of his hardest & most violent tracks ever. This CD documents almost 10 years with noise, and it shows the development in today's noise scene as well as it documents the development of an artist that is today regarded as one of the most respected noise musicians & huge influence of today's noise scene."
