"Released in 1996 to unanimous critical acclaim,
Sourcelab 2
showcased the French dance underground in all its eclectic, jazzy glory. Now, this third double-CD collection from the Parisian scene features some of the biggest names of the current French set, including DJ Gregory and DJ Cam. More than 20 tracks of cool, trippy French grooves." A lot of new or obscure acts (Fantom, Hi-Way, Aleph, Chateau Flight, Extra Lucid, Low Tone Priority, Les Petroleuses, Scratch-Pet-Land, Maisons Laffitte, Influex etc.) delivery another eye-opening set of Parisian dopeness. Not to mention a certain novelty "smash" collaboration between Air and Jean-Jacques Perrey.

Full length debut by the French duo of Nicolas Godin and Jena Benoit, known for their spectacularly ethereal tracks on Mo'Wax and their collaboration with Jean Jacques Perrey. "Sophisticated yet playful, their music has a seductive, continental ambience which borrows from the soundtracks of Ennio Morricone and John Barry, French kitsch, the looped structures of electronica and, of course, the poignancy of pop."

TENT 505EP
"Justice is being hailed as one of the most exciting acts in ages. The track 'We Are Your Friends' started it all for them and continues to be talked about from both the indie and dance fans. 'We Are Your Friends' has already been hammered on the airwaves in the UK by the likes of Zane Lowe, Annie Mac and Pete Tong and continues to receive great response. On the club side of things, all the top DJs including Mylo, Jacques Lu Cont, Erol Alkan, John Digweed, Tiga and Felix Da Housecat have been giving it heavy rotation to a hands-in-the-air response from the crowd. In addition to the original mix, there are two incredible remixes on this 12" from Lee Cabrera and Edison. The Lee Cabrera mix is a storming dance mix with a pounding kick and delayed stab though the mix. The song continues with a synth breakdown and then back into a rolling bass line and chopped up beats. The Edison mix holds true to the indie rock feel of the original with a funky dance vibe to it. It breaks down to a strong guitar riff with the vocal chanting of the original."
