Artist: DISCIPLINE
Title: Beyrouth
Label: TIGERSUSHI (FRANCE)
Format: DVD/2x7"
Price: $38.50
Catalog #: TSP 001DVD
Discipline is the pseudonym of Joseph Ghosn, who has been releasing music since the end of the '90s. His first album, 4 Moogs, was a tribute to American minimalism and Steve Reich. Ghosn explains the concept behind Beyrouth: "Within the context of the recent war between Israel and Hezbollah, releasing an album entitled Beyrouth is a cultural gesture that cannot be apolitical. Nevertheless, this work was made long before this conflict arose. It is actually composed of super 8 films shot in the beginning of the '70s in Beirut, during the years preceding the first Lebanon war started in 1975. Two movies were edited from these old 8mm tapes and two soundtracks were composed. One of these soundtracks was produced on a laptop, the other one was improvised watching the images with a Moog, a Fender Rhodes, some effects and electronic loops. Now prepare to dive into the intimacy of a Lebanese recomposed family that could also have belonged to another country, without war." Ghosn was born in Beirut and the images from the DVD were shot by his father. This DVD is housed in a limited-edition, numbered boxset with an individual original photo taken in Beirut, on the cover. The boxset includes a musical DVD and two 7" vinyls featuring a track made by Discipline and K.I.M. Each 7" is one-sided. The B-sides are hand-drawn by Charles Berberian. Format note: the DVD is European region-free PAL format only, which may not be compatible with many U.S. DVD players (should play on all computers).

Title: Afro Finger & Gel
Label: TIGERSUSHI (FRANCE)
Format: CD
Price: $15.00
Catalog #: TSR 003CD
"Written by Mutsumi Kanamori. Produced by Maurice Fulton. Mu -- amidst the void and emptiness of the umpteenth re-readings of past music an implosion has just occurred. A 'satori' producing the most singular personality in UK music ever, Mutsumi Kanamori. The reign of pop transvestite as electronic innovation is over. Now is the time for true affirmation of self, un-programming of the masses, some rock-n-roll, excellent music, whole lotta love and northern uproar." Nobody (except perhaps Kool Keith) can claim to sport as many musical signatures as Baltimore-born globetrotter Maurice Fulton. After compiling an impressive rep sheet of twisted house programming as Ladyvipb, Syclops, Stress, Basement Boys and Eddie And The Eggs, he finally settled in Sheffield and got married last year to Japanese-born Matsumi. They started making beautiful music together and the resulting Mu album, Afro Finger And Gel, is the best punk electronics you'll hear in 2003. It's a poppers-fuelled blurring of the lines between goofy techno, body-popping Latin, Japanese pop, Skinny Puppy, Ministry and rousing horndog Basement Jaxx blitzes." -- i-D. Limited stock.

Artist: K.I.M.
Title: Miyage
Label: TIGERSUSHI (FRANCE)
Format: CD
Price: $15.00
Catalog #: TSR 004CD
K.I.M is the first ever mixture of album and compilation including a superb reprise of the Smiths' 'Meat is Murder' by K.I.M themselves amongst Edith Piaf, Larry Levan, Gun Club or Psychic TV. The whole is mixed in a unique manner by this enthralling studio half of which is constituted by Joakim of Fantômes (Versatile Records) fame.

"K.I.M. is an activist vegetarian consortium composed of Flokim Lucas and Jimi Bazzouka. Bazzouka once was a well known anti-capitalist militant, responsible for a painstaking tide of bombing of several institutional buildings in the United States and his past involvement with guerilla warfare in places such as Nicaragua, Colombia and Mexico. Turning his back on a cruel row of bitter fights, unnecessary violence and desultory politics, Bazzouka found a new establishment as gardener in the Icelandic hippie compound of Vik amongst the K.I.M.-fellow community. K.I.M. is an acronym originally created to illustrate the philosophy and way of life of community father figure and German celebrity recloose Ulrich Vordstrom. K.I.M. fellow members recognize him as Kern.Im.Mordsee, a beacon of inspiration who edicted the ways of the K.I.M., a series of precepts and know-hows that by contractual agreement with Tigersushi records shall remain quite obscure and kept undecipherable to the masses. According to biographic information forwarded by various sources, Bazzouka was sent to set up a sub-division of the K.I.M. community in the south of France where he met Flokim Lucas, a Korean refugee and the community;s librarian and caretaker of the plentiful of records assembled through various errand jobs and garage sales. Despite the toil and work inducted by the extensive development of the south-K.I.M. orchard, Bazzouka and Lucas allegedly decided to vest the riteously enormous profits derived from the side-of-the-road-sale of take away melons into an album mixing their own music with their favorite songs by other artists like Arthur Lyman, Edith Piaf, Larry Levan or the Gun Club. This record was deemed benevolent enough to be left out to Tigersushi records. Although Bazzouka and Lucas undertook not to include and subliminal messages and/or propaganda in the above mentioned recording, Tigersushi records hereby waives any responsibility whatsoever as to possible consequences to a long exposure to K.I.M. music might trigger." Artists: Soloman Islands, Arthur Lyman, Francois de Roubaix, K.I.M, Wevie Stonder, Edith Piaf, Moondog, Un Drame Musical Instantane, Max de Wardener, I Wayne Sadra, Asa Chang and Junray, Joubert Singers, Pierre Bastien, Psychic TV, Gun Club.

Artist: PARKER VS. MATERIAL, TERRENCE
Title: More G.D.M. Vol. 4
Label: TIGERSUSHI (FRANCE)
Format: 12"
Price: $9.50
Catalog #: TSR 004EP
"Terrence Parker -- 'Love's Got Me High': An all-time house classic from Detroit courtesy of the impressive Terrence Parker who could lay down a soulful track even with his eyes blinded and arms tied in his back. No gimmicks or clever tricks just this cold-turkey instant anthem quality that urges you to rush on the dancefloor or hit the replay button anytime. Material -- 'Secret Life': This is taken out from the second of the Temporary Music EP series (1981) that inaugurated Material's search for a fusion of punk, disco-funk and new synthetic sounds. One of the numerous side projects of the notorious Bill Laswell, the outfit demonstrates an insight into the inner workings of music and its innovation cycle that is as fresh and far-reaching thirty years later. Mutant music somewhere between New Wave electro-pop and New York disco."

Title: So Young But So Cold: Underground French Music 1977-83 ...
Label: TIGERSUSHI (FRANCE)
Format: CD
Price: $15.00
Catalog #: TSR 005CD
... Compiled by Volga Select. Classic 2004 release, repressed! "In a time when French real-TV bores from 'popstars' milk the nostalgia tip with 'Taxi Girl' covers and whilst the audience is exposed, for good (Liquid, Liquid, Métal Urbain) or worse (Blondie, Jean Luc Lahaie) to the resurgence of all sort of forgotten haircuts from twenty years ago, well, in such time, it is only salutary and sound that what was first devised as a geeky musical indulgence, circumscribed to the acquired tastes of a few die-hard record zealots, is finally reaching out to a broader scope on a Tigersushi release. Ground Zero. Forget about your Nick Kershaws, Duran Durans or Levellers. No, instead let's jack into Kas Product, J.J. Burnel (of Stranglers fame), Mathématiques Modernes, Charles de Goal or Richard Pinhas. A national underground that is so proud, groundbreaking and boilantly creative that it has remained wholly ignored by the Gallic breed whilst garnering acclaim in Japan, the UK or Germany where the works of Moderne, Métal Urbain or The Droids are traded under the counter for their weight in gold. On this compilation you will find synthesizer-totting punks, cold wave geometry, psychedelic ambient worthy of Tangerine Dream, unsorted and unsortable ufos and even one of Carl Craig's major influence!!! The compilers themselves also have their historical anoint. Quite unnecessary to introduce Ivan Smagghe, the man behind the first Kill the DJ release on Tigersushi and a regular stormer of UK and German dancefloors alike. Marc Collin is the is the shadow producer of many a transient musical project. Ollano -- along with Xavier Jamaux/Bang Bang -- Suburbia (on producing duties) Nouvelle Vague -- bossa-nova covers of cold wave classics out soon on Peacefrog -- Sir Alice (Tigersushi) and of course Volga Select, the duo behind the seminal 'Unconditional Discipline of the Bastard Prince'. New hot projects in the making include an electro fairy tale for kids. This record is quite simply their story of feverish Parisian concerts and untamed trainspotting."

Title: 2
Label: TIGERSUSHI (FRANCE)
Format: CD
Price: $11.00
Catalog #: TSR 006CD
"2 is the, erm, logical follow up to Alice Daquet's 1 offering previously only available on limited 12" tracks + new songs. A bit of a Schyzophrenic artist, Sir Alice uncovers a sneak preview into her tormented musical universe with this collection of seven versatile cuts that displays an extremely mature musical talent and barocco style of personality." 'Supero Hero': dazzling synth-punk rollercoaster that taps into comic book atmospheres, surf music, Métal Urbain chic and French pop. 'La Maîtresse (The Teacher)': a cut-up dialogue between the nearly naïve robotic voice and Alice's somewhat delusional answers. 'Technotronic': bridges the gap between Alice's firebolt stamina and her taste for precious sonic chaos in a manner reminiscent to that of Mego releases."

Title: Principles of Geometry
Label: TIGERSUSHI (FRANCE)
Format: CD
Price: $15.00
Catalog #: TSR 007CD
"The duo of Guillaume Grosso and Jeremy Duval is one of the most seminal ever to have graced French electronica for a long time. While most of their contemporaries are ensconced in absurdly sophisticated clicks and cuts and dementedly chiselled drills, Principles take the emotional route and develop an accurate and refined cocoon of vintage synthesizers, spanners, majestic basslines and, as jacked as it may sound, Wagner-like harmonies. Self confessed music geeks in their own rights, the duo has developed its own core-values and attitudes to living the right way whilst toiling in the least glamorous section of the advertising industry, in the northern city of Lille. For Principles of Geometry, the lifestyle can never be hairy enuff and their musical educations through complete back-catalogues of stellar imprints such as Benbecula, Warp, Rephlex, Gooom, Def Jux or Sonig was one punctuated with 'tenderness instant', 'open-fly merriment' and total 'Moustache' satisfaction."

Mu is the Velvet Underground of clubland with bonkers-banana music that will remain in twenty years time. Title: Subliminal Kill
Label: TIGERSUSHI (FRANCE)
Format: CD
Price: $15.00
Catalog #: TSR 008CD
Panico are contemporary Chilean, no-wave influenced rock, who are compared to Le Tigre, DFA, Les Georges Leningrad, and Chicks on Speed. This is their first

available release outside of Chile, brought to the world via the almost mythical taste-making label, Tigersushi. An all-Chilean gang that used to haunt the streets of Santiago under the mystic gaze of the South-American sun, they have come a long way and together have been associated with more than ten major releases in their homeland of Chile. Now, after a bizarre chance encounter in a Parisian bookstore, they became full-fledged Tigersushi artists and are quite simply, ready to rock. A dashing collection of never before heard singles, Subliminal Kill puts together the best of European electronics.

It kicks off with the mutant ESG meets Os Mutantes dub of "Que Pasa Wey," with maelstrom after maelstrom of noise, superb bass grooves, psychedelic mayhem, and serious rock-riffing. From "Transpiralo" -- blessed with the guest appearance of UK's Crazy Girl -- to "Anfetaminado", it is a mad cascade of pure Latin energy ("Lupita") and raucous ("Ice Cream"), abrasive ("Iguana") punk. This is as if Joey Ramone was born in Mexico only to discover Iggy Pop was his next door neighbor and that they could play in the same garage as Keith Moon. All you have to do is to "feel the sun burning your eyes" and let this roll on.

Artist: K.I.M.
Title: Flores Monstrosi
Label: TIGERSUSHI (FRANCE)
Format: 12"
Price: $9.50
Catalog #: TSR 008EP
Features: Psychic TV: "Ov Power". "Okay, let's try to make this simple: Once, among a rather unassuming group of demos, we received a very strange disc bearing the name K.I.M., titled Silence is God, which came in a sleeve bearing one email address. And we sure as hell hadn't heard anything quite like it. Through information obtained (with difficulty), we now know that the people behind this disc (men or women?) belong to a sect (sic) of the name of K.I.M.. For reasons that we will explain to you later or perhaps that you will include/understand on your own by listening to this a lot, we immediately decided to release this disc in parts. The two songs you hold in your hand are from their album. For those who aren't familiar with it, Psychic TV is collective/group of ex-Throbbing Gristle Genesis P- Orridge, a pseudo-cult who made emblematic, worrying, iconoclastic and completely disturbed industrial music. OV Power is a nice tribute to Temple OV, the name of the sect that the charismatic, gold toothed Genesis lead. K.I.M. create long sonic layers, where one can hardly perceive changes (droning, you might say), of hypnotic textures, a near Buddhist inspiration on rhythmic martial... You could place this piece between Plastikman, Arne Nordheim and Throbbing Gristle (again) for it's angst ridden atmosphere. However, it's still something else... but what?"

Artist: DJ MORPHEUS
Title: I Can't Live Without My Radio
Label: TIGERSUSHI (FRANCE)
Format: CD
Price: $15.00
Catalog #: TSR 009CD
A trend-setting mix CD from the founder of Minimal Compact, SSR Records and the legendary Freeform parties and mix CDs: DJ Morpheus. He regularly spins at the top clubs all over the world, from Beijing to Bangkok, he's organized the music for Jean-Paul Gaultier, Giorgio Armani and Mercedez Benz. Here Morpheus picks his favorite industrial new wave, body music and synth pop and lines them up like so many dominos. This music shaped the aesthetics of new pioneers like DJ Hell, Tiefschwarz, Block Strobe and Alter Ego. In the compiler's own words, this cute little number was inspired by the same sort of "do-it-yourself ethics, ruff energy and attitude that punk and new wave's explosions brought about." Contrary to the majority of people, Morpheus believes the '80s were a period of exciting music that has been influential to present-day productions, be it in rock and dance or the pop scene. The accent on I Can't Live Without My Radio is on the funk and rock element. Certain tracks like "Kiss" and "Fascist Groove Thang" were number ones in the charts at the time, some were underground favorites and a few were total obscurities that deserve to be heard again. Some deal with ever-pervasive political issues that remain to this day, while other tracks capture the spirit of teenage rebellion and thrill-seeking. A def selection and a deft sequence. The next sound, and you can here it now. Artists include: Jeff and Jane Hudson, The Residents, Virgin Prunes, Medium Medium, Love & Rockets, Heaven 17, Shriekback, That Petrol Emotion, Head, World Domination Enterprises, Timezone (feat. John Lydon & Afrika Bambaataa), Age of Chance, The Thrill Kill Kult, Taboo, 400 Blows vs. 23 Skidoo, and Einsturzende Neubauten.

Artist: SIR ALICE
Title: ?
Label: TIGERSUSHI (FRANCE)
Format: CD
Price: $15.00
Catalog #: TSR 010CD
This is the third release on Tigersushi for the ever-proteiform French artist Alice Daquet. Sir Alice walks the thin line intersecting completely different universes: fundamental research, musical creation and art. At 23, she already claims a long-running past as a teenage punkette -- from age 14 to 19 she ransacked as many café-concerts as possible with her crew. However, she is also a true experimentalist, via her scholarship at IRCAM where she tackles new technologies in music. Hers is a case of extreme post-post-punk artistic schizophrenia that has Daquet partake in an incredible array of art ventures ranging from multimedia to performance art via music and without her character losing even the slightest of her rage. Under the Sir Alice moniker, she develops an original musical project that effortlessly blends experimental music, electronics and punk. This new release is dark, scrawling, and pleasantly unsettling, as it mixes childlike melodies and Frenchified off-kilter nursery-rhymes with deep, disturbing electronics and tape manipulation. Signed to Tigersushi Records' roster she has already released an EP (1) and a mini album (2). She's featured on Nouvelle Vague's debut effort as well as on forthcoming releases courtesy of Patrick Pulsinger and Chicks on Speed. Sir Alice is one to watch, with a mixture of unease and glee.

Artist: ESG VS FREDDIE MAS
Title: More G.D.M. Vol. 5
Label: TIGERSUSHI (FRANCE)
Format: 12"
Price: $9.50
Catalog #: TSR 011EP
"Could you actually believe there was a never-reissued ESG title that we didn't know of and had never heard? Originally released in 1988, this is so much smooth party groove and raw energy that quite frankly it should speak for itself. Everything is in there and the whole history of house music could be loop in the mystical bliss of that to-good-to-be-true intro. Freddie is a larger-than-life character brought to you by our Codek friends in New York. Urgency, eagerness and a basic killer groove is maybe what a good track is all about and probably what the most thrilling times of NYC were made of. An 'emotional rescue' of some sort."

Artist: PONI HOAX
Title: Poni Hoax
Label: TIGERSUSHI (FRANCE)
Format: CD
Price: $15.00
Catalog #: TSR 012CD
Poni Hoax is a five man army of French "jeunes gens modernes," bookworm musicians and extremely talented composers, and this is their debut release for Tigersushi. Their lead vocalist, Nicolas Ker tackles an ambitious and unique style that walks the thin line between a decadent Morrissey or an elegiac Jim Morrisson -- he's a quizzical dandy with an exotic touch who shares a close symbiosis with the band's lead composer, Laurent Bardainne. Next to this ubiquitous duo are Arnaud Roulin (keyboard/bass), Nicolas Villebrin (guitar) and Vincent Taeger (drums), partners in crime and über-accomplished musicians who have share a love for the French "variétés" such as Feist, Jane Birkin, Dave!, etc. Together they fuel the fire of an iridescent musical flame laced with infectious, nearly fatal melodies. Under the patronage of producer Joakim Bouaziz, one of Europe's most talented remixers (Air, Lionel Hampton, Tiga, Annie), Poni Hoax take the lead in a most unanticipated way. One could qualify their style as rock n' roll music with a wild hybridization of Italo disco, noisy garage and murder ballads. Poni Hoax could be the third millennium Roxy Music, Sonic Youth on Ecstasy, or Giorgio Moroder in bed with Arcade Fire. Such a wide array of taste is something quite unprecedented this side of the Atlantic and recalls exceptional musical genius.

Artist: SIR ALICE
Title: 1
Label: TIGERSUSHI (FRANCE)
Format: 12"
Price: $9.50
Catalog #: TSR 012EP
"Sir Alice is Tigersushi's new darling (not to be mixed up with Alice Machine). At 23 years old only she already has a serious teenage angst background, performing as a punk-rock singer from the age 14 to 19. Whilst slumming all the usual live-band joints, she starts a career as an academic at IRCAM where she teams up with Marc Collin (the man behind trailblazing musical ventures Ollano, Suburbia, Volga Select) who takes over the production decks. A seriously hyperactive youngster she spans a thousand project a day including art-installations and multimedia performances with the same untamed rage. A serious, enthralling case of musical schizophrenia. Follow, Follow... Tracklisting: A : Bouda Is A Material Girl -- 'We are at war'. The No Logo uproar is brought to further musical heights with this cut-throat pop song that makes up for a perfect soundtrack to Bret Easton Ellis' fiction. It's easy to understand why one of Sir Alice's all time fav. is none other that Thurston Moore. Just like Sonic Youth's charismatic leader, Alice has hidden plenty surprises in the mix, right behind the anger wall. B1 : Ballad -- This perfectly exemplifies the case for musical schizophrenia. The tempo slows down and the tone is that of ambient rock in a manner that would have us coin big name references such as Einstürzende Neubauten or Leila. B2 : Princess -- Another peek into the girl's singular universe. Eerie mixture of childish innocence and tormented structure. An early deed for Alice that was originally recorded a mere Dictaphone."

Artist: MY SISTER KLAUS
Title: Chateau Rouge
Label: TIGERSUSHI (FRANCE)
Format: CD
Price: $15.00
Catalog #: TSR 013CD
This is the debut full-length release from France's My Sister Klaus (aka Guillaume Teyssier), produced by Joakim. He wrote the lyrics to Poni Hoax's song "Budapest," and he sang on "Rocket Pearl," from Joakim's album, Monsters & Silly Songs. Teyssier composes his songs alone with his guitar in a small flat in the center of Paris, with boneless drafts of songs on a hot summer night. Teyssier played some of his songs for Joakim, and they recorded this album that perches right on the edge of rock, folk music and French pop. Guillaume Teyssier's musical world is full of references: The Velvet Underground and Lou Reed, but there's also the swampy white soul of Al Green, psycho noisy rock like The Jesus and Mary Chain, the contemplative blues of John Fahey and the great French pop of Gainsbourg. The result is a castle, a "chateau rouge" (Chateau Rouge is actually a tough neighborhood in Paris), a construction that is about urban myths as well as dreams and escape, combining the roughness of the city and the melancholy of a young romantic.

Artist: VOLGA SELECT/AVRIL/SIR ALICE
Title: So Young But So Cold Sampler
Label: TIGERSUSHI (FRANCE)
Format: 12"
Price: $9.50
Catalog #: TSR 013EP
"Three distinctive remixes of excerpts from the forthcoming So Young But So Cold, a Volga Select lead celebration of the cornerstone era of French underground music: 1979-1983. Tracklisting: A: Richard Pinhas: Iceland (Volga Select Remix) With an even icier take on the cold ambient ramblings of musician-philosopher Richard Pinhas, Volga Select show a mastery command of cold-wave groove. Twiddling with space echoes and vintage synths, they create yet another classic. This is progressive with good tastes and glow-sticks barred. B1: The (Hypothetical) Prophets: Wallenberg (Avril Remix) An electro-rock take on this absolute classic that prolongates Avril's latest productions on F.Com (his Members Only CD will be available on F-Com in April). Here Avril plays 'Superpitcher' to a a tale of woe, spy games and resistance during the second world war. B2 : Nini Raviolette : Je Tu Nous (Sir Alice Remix) A cool crash, with twenty years of music interspersed, between two egotistic punkettes. On the one hand Nini Raviolette, the darling of the eighties and on remixing duties Sir Alice, the contemporary hoodlum with a mission to rock the 21st century."

Artist: D*I*R*T*Y
Title: Dirty Space Disco
Label: TIGERSUSHI (FRANCE)
Format: CD
Price: $15.00
Catalog #: TSR 014CD
Repressed! D*I*R*T*Y are fighting against musical boundaries, and setting up parties (monthly at the famous Parisian club, Le Paris Paris), and releasing compilations (Dirty Diamonds, three volumes on Diamondtraxx Records) made by nerds for non-nerds. Since their last opus in 2006, they launched a series of 12"s (the Dirty Edits, acclaimed by Laurent Garnier, Ivan Smagghe, Optimo, DJ Naughty, Erol Alkan, Ewan Pearson), and have been playing their DJ-not-DJ sets all over the world. After three all-over-the-place compilations, they come back with a new thematic compilation series, injecting a certain dose of subjectivity, bad faith, and never yielding to self-content feelings -- the main danger of that exercise. Their mission is simple: to blow away musical boundaries, to make underground music accessible to everyone, to decode musical trends by finding these little known but essential songs, and to carefully avoid dogmatism. This first volume is devoted to what they call "space disco" that you may also call "cosmic disco." Many things in this record feed an alternative vision of the genre: from cosmic disco (popularized in Italy in the early '80s by Daniele Baldelli), to new wave, to slow, slow, slow disco. Dirty Space Disco is the definitive summer compilation, a real hot record, but also very cold. Artwork made by graphic designers Laurent Fetis and Elisabeth Arkhipoff. Artists include: John Forde, Roedelius, Clara Mondshine, Pilooski, Undisputed Truth, Fern Kinney, John Miles, Conrad Schnitzler, Yellow Power, Tony Esposito, Odyssey, Sylvester, Risque and Starbow.

Artist: PRINCIPLES OF GEOMETRY
Title: Lazare
Label: TIGERSUSHI (FRANCE)
Format: CD
Price: $17.00
Catalog #: TSR 015CD
Principles Of Geometry are the French duo of Guillaume Grosso and Jeremy Duval, two bearded cosmic hippie-nerd twins who are obsessed with vintage analog synths, moustaches, NASA videos and the woods. This should already give you an idea of what you're about to listen to. Their second record Lazare is an ambitious album that synthesizes decades of electronic music: incorporating John Carpenter's dramatic minimalism, Terry Riley's smoky loops, Wendy Carlos' synthetic melodies, hip-hop urbanism and Aphex Twin-esque avant-garde electronic tweaking. Nevertheless, there's no nostalgia here -- instead, you are propelled into a future where Sebastien Tellier sings Italo luv music (a new kind of slow-motion Italo disco,) MCs like Cannibal Ox and Hangar18 ride wild beats towards Wagner's Walkyrie, and Jackson meets Boards of Canada on a boat. Here, songs are like pictures -- detailed encephalograms of Principles Of Geometry's moods -- complex and beautiful geometric patterns, a poetry of the infinite. But for them, the most essential aspect of music is emotion, it is the core of everything. Be it layers of melodies or beat avalanches, the goal is always to trigger an emotion, to talk to the mind more than the body. And they do so with such talent that you can always find something new within their songs, some hidden subliminal details. The artwork was supervised by POG with a beautiful cover photograph by American artist Justine Kurland.

Artist: PANICO
Title: Anfetaminado
Label: TIGERSUSHI (FRANCE)
Format: 7"
Price: $7.50
Catalog #: TSR 015EP
"Summer is not the time to feel melancholy and inward and that's exactly the take Chilean indie Behemoths Panico are taking with this fresh 7" release that showcases their talent for punk, noisy, tropical reverie, fantasy electronics and 'maximum destroy' rock 'n roll." Tracklisting: A: 'Anfetaminado' -- Walking down the street, the air is too cool, you can't take it, you want to eat life full blown, you wanna be on amphetamine. This is the feeling and the Panico take on chemical teenage kicks is one of classic punk rock lineage with a twist of south-hemisphere craziness that we all wish we had. B: 'Que Pasa Wey?' -- Rosie Perez fans revel, it's time to celebrate the foxy heroin of Perdita Durango -- the seminal Alex De la Iglesia feature -- with a sassy Latin-American dub like Joy Division under the sun. The typical solid Panico groove is distilled over some freestyle spoken words broidered over the movie's atmosphere."

Artist: PONI HOAX
Title: Images of Sigrid
Label: TIGERSUSHI (FRANCE)
Format: CD
Price: $17.00
Catalog #: TSR 016CD
This is the second full-length release from Poni Hoax, the 5-headed French pop/post-punk/post-techno/disco juggernaut. From the release of their first single in 2005, Budapest, to their debut self-titled release in 2006, Poni Hoax has been a living testament to the dark, cathartic power of disco and electro-pop. The band presents itself on stage as a rocking dancing machine, described by a raving press as a combination of Nick Cave and Giorgio Moroder. Maybe. Poni Hoax are not a local hype but an urban legend. Poni Hoax are not an infant disease but a tropical virus. Poni Hoax are not a soap opera but a spectral odyssey. Poni Hoax are not a placebo but hard drugs. Poni Hoax are a paradox. A Frankenstein composed of completely different body parts. Images of Sigrid was produced by Tigersushi head Joakim, who knows a French band is not just a French band, but has the capacity to reach supersonic speed and break all boundaries. This second album is a collective work joining the dots between pop and avant-garde, rock and electronic music, disco and new wave, R n'B and ambient, just like its great predecessors Roxy Music or the Talking Heads. One thing remains constant through these 13 tracks, the will to write everlasting pop songs, universal anthems like "Antibodies," "Hypercommunication" and "Crash Pad Driver." In the mist of this digital megalopolis, you'll meet a few ghosts: a suicidal painter, a young girl who believes in happiness, and all the ones who remained quiet when you begged for forgiveness. Laurent Bardainne (music and keyboards) Nicolas Ker (lyrics and vocals), Arnaud Roulin (keyboards), Nicolas Villebrun (guitar), Vincent Taeger (drums and percussion).

Artist: PANICO
Title: Lupita/Transpiralo
Label: TIGERSUSHI (FRANCE)
Format: 12"
Price: $9.50
Catalog #: TSR 016EP
Behave, you postpunkers! Panico is Chile's most renowned rock n' roll gang. Their novelty release, Subliminal Kill on Tigersushi have turned quite a few heads. A1: "Transpiralo" features Crazy Girl as guest supreme. This is a typical dancefloor track that meshes American sleaze, Latin attitude and the thrills of 25 years of garage rock meddling with 25 years of electro. A2: "Lupita (Zongamin Remix"' comes courtesy of celebrated Japanese expat and London scene weirdo Zongamin. A mix that bends the sci-fi exploits of the original and transposes you into a cool cartoon-like eeriness. B1: "Lupita (K.I.M. Remix)" -- this is a fucked-up mix replete with a fanfare of kitchen tools. Outer limits reached and trespassed.

Artist: PONI HOAX
Title: Budapest
Label: TIGERSUSHI (FRANCE)
Format: 12"
Price: $9.50
Catalog #: TSR 017EP
Poni Hoax are five young French guys ready to save the French rock scene and much more. This is their first single and we can tell you it's only a starter. A1: "Budapest": Ewan Pearson described this as "a fantastic bit of horror-disco, with anxious female vocal and creaking cellos." It's Giorgio Moroder meets Bernhard Herrmann, with a crazy disco beat haunted by layers of strings and the perfect violin hook. This sounds like nothing else and is just so good. B1: "Budapest (Joakim Italo Dub)" -- super catchy gimmick, amazing drums, deep bass, a few weird strings and some Italo-like arpeggios and you've got the club hit of this winter.

Artist: JOAKIM + MORPHEUS
Title: Give Us Something Inc.
Label: TIGERSUSHI (FRANCE)
Format: 12"
Price: $9.50
Catalog #: TSR 018EP
This EP is an exclusive collaboration between Joakim and former Minimal Compact singer Samy Birnbach, an offshoot of DJ Morpheus' compilation I Can't Live Without My Radio, in a punk-funk vein with raw analog synths and fierce guitars (featuring Panico's guitarist, Memo Dumay). On the flip side, Rub N Tug put their hands on Minimal Compact's "Nil Nil." Gothic disco.

Artist: MY SISTER KLAUS
Title: Chateau Rouge
Label: TIGERSUSHI (FRANCE)
Format: 7"
Price: $7.50
Catalog #: TSR 019EP
My Sister Klaus is very French: think Serge Gainsbourg meets Jesus & Mary Chain down at the Factory, NYC. "Chateau Rouge" is all about crack heads, sugar babies, dark corners and mean gangsters. The B-side is pure psycho-punk-blues that grows and growls before it finishes up, sounding like an early Cure song.

Artist: PONI HOAX
Title: Involutive Star EP
Label: TIGERSUSHI (FRANCE)
Format: 12"
Price: $9.50
Catalog #: TSR 021EP
While Poni Hoax are working on their new record with Joakim, the team comes back on vinyl with a new song from their self-titled debut album. "Involutive Star" is one of their happiest bits of disco rock with some old school house keyboards and crispy techno basslines. On the flip-side Joakim hits the mark with a devastating remix that sounds like nothing else. Somewhere between Villalobos, Audion, LCD Soundsystem and LFO, with fierce live drums, hypnotic electronic bells, horn cut-ups and an acid finish. If there were such a thing as "nu-rave," this would be it.

Artist: YELLOW POWER/JJ CALE
Title: Dirty Space Disco Vol. 1
Label: TIGERSUSHI (FRANCE)
Format: 12"
Price: $10.00
Catalog #: TSR 022EP
This is the first installment of the new collaboration between the Parisian collective D-I-R-T-Y and Tigersushi, a limited-edition EP introducing the Dirty Space Disco compilation. These two proto disco tracks were carefully chosen by Joakim (Tigersushi label boss) and Pilooski, already known for his work on the Dirty Edits series. This EP is a subjective vision of disco including new wave, Italian cosmic music, Afro, soul, and even country-folk music. You may also call this a "codeine version" of the Studio 54 vibe.

Artist: PANICO
Title: Guadalupe
Label: TIGERSUSHI (FRANCE)
Format: 12"
Price: $9.50
Catalog #: TSR 023EP
Here's an advanced bit of Panico's upcoming album on Tigersushi. On the A-side, Panico develop their tropically-fueled garage rock into rave-ish territories with uncontrolled synths & scratches, especially on the wild dub version. On the flip side, Twitch from Optimo takes the track back to 1991, NYC, when the best label in town was Nu-Groove. Relentless, stabbing rhythm and rolling basslines all the way.

Artist: PONI HOAX
Title: Antibodies
Label: TIGERSUSHI (FRANCE)
Format: 12"
Price: $9.50
Catalog #: TSR 024EP
Poni Hoax are a 5-piece band playing a baroque pop-disco-rock mash-up with titanium drums, stiff guitars and acid synths. They present this 12" sure to cement them as the only hope in dance music. Together with French producer Joakim, they recorded their full-length in the old Barclay's studio -- where no gear is less than 30 years old -- once used to record cheesy '70s disco, and also Jacques Brel. Including a remix from Château Flight.

Artist: PRINCIPLES OF GEOMETRY
Title: A Mountain For President
Label: TIGERSUSHI (FRANCE)
Format: 12"
Price: $11.00
Catalog #: TSR 025EP
Here comes the first extract from Principles Of Geometry's album Lazare. "A Mountain For President" is a space hymn with Martians on Juno synths, Jupiterians at the mixing desk and cosmic prophet Sebastien Tellier on vocals. Next comes a remix by Speakerine, with a true love for the dark side. Finally, Joakim remixes the title track adding some fat and a huge break in the middle of an already sweet meal.

Artist: PONI HOAX
Title: Hypercommunication
Label: TIGERSUSHI (FRANCE)
Format: 12"
Price: $11.00
Catalog #: TSR 026EP
Here comes Poni Hoax's second extract from their full-length Images Of Sigrid. "Hypercommunication" is the first stadium-sized tune to be released on Tigersushi, arena singalong choirs included. Huge-sounding banging electro and one of his most heavy remixes for sure. On a different tip but still highly danceable, Alter Ego delivers a mental remix full of freaky vocoders that keeps pushing the pressure on and on for 6 minutes before unleashing the beast. Dancefloor smashers.
